About this property

Swept Away is located at 127 North Fort Fisher Boulevard right across the street from Kure Beach, and one block from the iconic Kure Beach Fishing Pier. It is newly renovated with two bedrooms (queen beds) each with a closet, one-bath, kitchen (full size fridge, stove/oven, dishes, coffee maker, microwave, blender, utensils). Eating area with drop-leaf table and chairs, living room comfy sofa and TV (with basic cable), dedicated WIFI, and Bluetooth. It has its own central AC unit for your comfort. Front patio with patio set and a gas grill (and charcoal grill) available for use. One block from local restaurants - Jack Mackerel's, Freddie's and Big Daddy's.

Please treat our property as if it were your own. Maximum occupancy is four. Occupants' names on the agreement are the only overnight guests allowed. No pets and no smoking allowed or the security deposit will be immediately forfeited. Linen service is not included for less than a 7 night stay (for an additional $35.00 upon check-in, it can be made available for shorter stays). We ask you that you wash all dishes and utensils and return them to their appropriate place, and empty all trash bins upon departure. Please keep the stove-top neat and stain-free. Please avoid excess sand in the shower area. Please avoid upholstery stains. A joint walk through will be conducted prior to your departure. Should the property not be left in the condition found, the security deposit will be forfeited.

Wonderful Time

Had a great time at Kure Beach. Teri was a great host with all the information we needed about places to eat and what to explore. Great time for the wife’s birthday.

Kure Beach Wedding

Location was perfect for us, we could walk to several restaurants and the pier was so close. Wish the beds were more comfortable. The owners were amazing and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Home Swept Away from Home

We love the cottage! Perfect spot for a fall fishing trip. Walking distance to great food and the pier. 2 minute walk to the handicap beach access so bring your fishing wagon!

Beach Vacation

The location can't be beat. Easy access to the beach, pier, restaurants and shops. Park your car in the driveway and leave it. You can walk everywhere you need to go. The cottage has an updated kitchen with everything you need if you want to prepare your own meals. Definitely planning to stay here again.

About the host

We have been Kure Beach residents for three years after relocating from Connecticut, and recently purchased our forever home in October of 2016. The cottage is located at the back of main property, so we are typically on premises or close by partaking in one of the many activities the island has to offer. We are avid fishermen, and spend much of our free time surf fishing or out on our boat. My husband is a professional who works from a home office and I am a photographer who can often be found walking the pier taking wildlife and fish pictures, as well as early morning sunrises. Our son, who just graduated from Cape Fear Community College, also resides with us.

Why they chose this property

We had been vacationing in this area for years, and when my husband had the freedom to relocate, this was the only place we had in mind. We were drawn to it as we are big outdoors folks who enjoy fishing, boating, gorgeous weather, and the sound of the ocean. The local residents accepted us with open arms and made us feel completely at home in our new home.

What makes this property unique

Our new home just called to us due to its location. We are one-block from two fine restaurants and the Kure Beach Pier, and right across from the ocean where I can watch the sunrise from our front porch (and bedroom window), and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.
