Charming villa in panoramic position w/private pool

Old stone-built farmhouse dating back to the 900s which has been totally renovated into a most comfortable and charming Tuscany holiday accommodation ideal for large groups visiting Italy .

The villa, peaceful situated at the foothills of the Apennines within the Casentino Forests National Park, boasts magnificent views of the valley below, green hills and ancient medieval villages and castles.

The property is surrounded by a well kept green park (plus an extensive natural plot of approx. 90.000 m2) featuring a panoramic swimming pool (90 m2 size 15 x 6 open from April to October) with a safe area for children, ping pong table, a large furnished gazebo and various shaded areas so that everyone can find the perfect spot to relax.

This is a typical old Tuscan country residence, renovated with love and care, respecting its original characteristics: all of the original building materials, terracotta flooring, stonework and wooden beams have all been used in the restoration with great attention to detail, which together with the quality furnishings contribute to an elegant and exclusive atmosphere.

There are 9 bedrooms available, all furnished differently and each provided with the most up-to-date conveniences such as: en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, satellite TV, internet connection. Sleeps capacity 17 adults and 4 children under 12 years of age.

In the annex (20 m from the main building) is found a professional kitchen, a wood-burning oven with barbecue, a large dining room, 3 toilets and a panoramic covered terrace with tables and chairs for outdoor dining. Cook service available upon request.

Great location. Lovely place. Would stay there again. Only thing that would be good is written directions for the door keys, oven, dishwasher, clothes washer, front gate. Sometimes these where tricky to use.

Terrific Tuscany

Fabulous property with incredible views of the Tuscan countryside. If you’re looking for a luxury, self-catered retreat, this property will tick all the boxes. Conveniently situated 10 minutes from Bibbienna, where you’ll find supermarkets, restaurants and pizzerias, the house is sufficiently secluded to provide a truly relaxing getaway without the inconvenience of being miles and miles from civilisation should you need a pint of milk! There’s more than ample space for the living set-up (we were a party of 10 adults and 10 children and there was plenty of room for all) and the outdoor areas, including the pool, are all thoughtfully and tastefully appointed to make the most of the natural backdrop.

The most beautiful Villa in all of Tuscany.

From our first view of the Villa through our entire two week stay we were in awe of the property. Laura and Fabio were gracious and charming hosts, always ready to help in any way. We requested a chef to cook for us the first week. Villas in Med found us Dino cuoco a domieilio. Dino, Simona and Loretta prepared the most exquisite meals. For eight nights we were treated to cocktails, appetizers, 1st, 2nd, 3rd courses and desserts, never having the same thing twice. We had 18 adults the first week, Dino, his wife and assistant become part of our family. They laughed with us, sang with us and cried with us on our last night together. This Villa is truley a slice of heaven. Grazie, Grazie, Grazie!

Great house but absolutely unfriendly and impudent host!

When I rent a villa for not little money, I expect my host to behave professionally. After all, I want to spend a nice week with my family. However, I find the following behavior unprofessional, unfriendly and not very appreciative: - Already after checking in, my wife and I wanted to get ready before our guests arrived. The host, however, was still sitting in her office in the villa a good hour after the handover and did not wanted to leave. We had the feeling that she wanted to wait for the other guests and check if the number of guests indicated was correct. She left after repeated requests the villa. - At the beginning the pool should be checked and cleaned once a day. Suddenly it became twice a day and we constantly had the feeling that we were being checked. - When we asked our host 14 days after the checkout if some clothes were found during the cleaning, we were accused of having damaged 2 doors and caused a repair of a four digit amount and we can be happy to not paying for it. At checkout, however, the house was checked and there were no complaints. - We had contacted the agency several times a few months before booking and asked some questions. Unfortunately we did not receive an answer to our questions. Only shortly before the start of the bookings we received a short answer. - Every opportunity is taken to charge the guests additional costs. So only 100kwh electricity are included in the price and we had to pay 200kwh extra on departure. A consumption of 300kwh for 10 persons for one week is more than questionable. Also the use of the water dispenser should cost extra per week. With a house in this price range you can also arrange this differently. We liked the house itself and the pool very much, the big proprrty and the location are great. Also the professional kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. We had a lot of fun baking pizzas together. Due to the behaviour of the host and the above mentioned points we will book another house with our next booking.

Tolles Haus, Tolle Lage

Das Objekt war Weltklasse! Der Ausblick über die Berge war wunderschön! Der Pool war toll, das Haus aus! Die Besitzerin war sehr lieb und nett. Der Ehemann kam jeden Morgen und hat sich um den Pool gekümmert. Danach ist er direkt wieder gefahren und war sehr freundlich. Zwei kleine Kritikpunkte, die Besitzerin spricht nur sehr gebrochenes Englisch und die Betten quietschen teils.

Beautiful Property, good service but lots of basics missing

The property is beautiful and looks exactly like the photos but be aware that the very basics aren't included. We had to go out and buy toilet paper, garbage bags, dish soap, dish clothes etc. Also - the gate is uber tricky and when we asked if there was a way to open it (other than driving your car down to it they said no) which is just about the craziest thing - because if you have guests not driving then they are stuck inside the compound. In the end we found a key slot on the side of the villa where you can open the gate without the car - but you have to walk down to the gate which is about a 10 min walk down a steep hill - you can't open it from the top. Also - the gate closed on our car - so be away of that. You can rent pool towls for 5 euro for the price of the villa they should just include them in my mind. Also - we had to pay an extra 70 euro for water after staying for a week because there wasn't enough included for all our guests for the week. The kithen is amazing - it's an industrial kitchen - but the stoves and over are hard to work. If you want to bbq you have to bring your own coal. There is no place to dispose of your garbage or recycling - you literally have to pack it all up with you and take it to town which seems crazy to me. We also found two scorpions in the villa - which might have been a result of leaving doors open - but check your shoes! It's an absolutely stunning place - but it could be even more amazing if they didn't insist on nickel and diming you on everything and include some of the basics. They were very good to respond to our queries over Whattsapp - but in person English was a struggle! I think Google Translate helped out a lot!

Fantastic place off the beaten path

We (14 people) rented the villa for 2 weeks in early August and had an amazing time. The property is massive incl. a separate building with kitchen/dining room, pool area, playground and several private seating areas. We found the property to be extremely well maintained (it basically looked new) and the owners to be very responsive to any issues or questions. Extra points for all the professional equipment in the kitchen (pizza oven, slicing machine for prosciutto, etc.) The only downside (or upside, depending on how you look at it) is the somewhat remote location. It is extremely private with breathtaking views over the valley, but that comes at the cost of longer driving times if you want to do any excursions - about 1-1.5 hours to reach Florence, Siena, Montepulciano, etc.
