Perfect Location

Very convenient location in Varenna. Unit was clean and comfortable. 15 min walk to train station, 10 min walk to ferry. 1 min walk to bars, restaurants and center square.

Great Unit

Very clean unit with laundry and AC. I would recommend it to others. Definitely some stairs to deal with but that's most of the town.

Very nice location, comfortable beds and lots of very small stairs!

We truly enjoyed our stay in Varenna! The flat was small but convenient to all of the waterfront areas. It is a distance from the train station and can be cumbersome to get there with luggage- best to get a taxi if you have more than one bag. Staff are available and helpful as needed. The local small grocery is just a few steps down the road and speaks English and all the staff were extremely helpful!

Varenna Stay

The apartment is very nice with great air conditioning. You should be aware that it is small and has very little storage. The second bedroom has no closet or place to hang clothes and there are no dressers. There is a large closet in one room only. There are a lot of stairs to get to the apartment so please take note. It is newly restored and has a lovely patio.

Great location, a lot of stairs

Great location. Did not realize will have to climb that many stairs to get to it. Apartment has many upgrades, clean. Second bedroom does not have a functional closet - very little room for clothes. There are 3 air conditioners- 1 in each room. However only one was working and only 2 nights out of 4 we stayed. We stayed there in July, so that was a problem. Overall we liked the apartment aside of AC situation.

Warning! Stairs, but not just stairs, but three sets of narrow, uneven steps with handrails on only one set of stairs. Quite treacherous when wet, especially when carrying luggage up and down. It would have been helpful if someone from management had offered to help get the luggage to the apartment. (Our flat in Stresa also had three sets of stairs, but there were handrails and the manager carried our luggage.) Also, the pictures of the flat do not show the magnitude of the dangerous stairs.Our stay was marred by construction next door, hammering, drilling, and loud crashing of stone. I know the Varenna Holidays had no control over this, but there should have been a warning ahead of time so we could have made alternative plans.The apartment itself, although small, was certainly sufficient for two couples. Having a washer/dryer unit was definitely a bonus. Overall, we were disappointed with the facility. We've been VRBO customers for decades and this was definitely the most dissatisfied we've ever been because of the stairs and the noise.

La casa é centrale.

Ci siamo trovati bene, Varenna é molto carina. C'erano alcuni dettagli che possono essere migliorati. C'è una véranda carina ma non c'è ombrellone per il sole quindi complicato mangiare a pranzo e la sera non c'è luce. Le pentole non avevano coperchi, non c'era una spugnetta, un solo strofinaccio per 2 settimane, le lenzuola erano dei coprimiuone, sarebbe meglio avere delle vere lenzuola. Una doccia perdeva moltissima acqua. Tutte cose che però possono essere migliorate molto facilmente. La casa é carina e funzionale e il giardino piacevole. Tutto è vicino, negozi, alimentari, luoghi da visitare.

innamorarsi di Varenna è facile se poi trovi un posto fantastico dove viverci la vacanza, lo è ancor

la posizione centrale ma nel contempo a due passi dalla riva del lago, l appartamento come una piccola isola felice, nessun rumore,pace ,tranquillità, un giardino fantastico. tecnologicamente dotato di ogni comfort quasi meglio di casa, che voler di più ?

Exactly What We Needed

The location and service were perfect. The patio was nice and the design was good. More hooksshelves in the bathrooms, raise the beds so you can slide suitcases under, and fix the water damage.

Wonderful location in the heart of Varenna. Great outdoor sitting area, and fully equipped kitchen Very tight space for 5 people, probably better suited for 4. No ironironing board, became complicated as the washer / dryer left all clothes un-wearable.

Excellent apartment in great location but Rooster alert!

Yes seriously there is a rooster living next door that together with the village church bells makes for a fun experience - just don’t plan on sleeping in! Varenna is a brilliant town on Lake Como and this place is virtually in the town square but the steep steps may be a problem for some. overall we loved it
