La maison du peintre à Santa Croce est un bel appartement à louer à Florence qui est situé au premier étage d'un immeuble de la via dei Macci à quelques pas de la belle Piazza Santa Croce et de tous les monuments les plus importants de la ville.
L'appartement se compose de deux chambres (une avec un lit double et un lit bébé, l'autre avec deux lits simples), un salon avec canapé-lit simple, une cuisine et deux salles de bain complètes avec douche. En tout, je peux rester ici jusqu'à un maximum de 6 personnes. La maison est équipée de chauffage indépendant, Internet Wi-Fi et TV.

Great Apartment, Great Location

This apartment was in a great location. We could walk to everything in the city fairly easily. It had enough space so that all of our kids had their own beds. It had a well appointed kitchen that makes making breakfast and preparing snacks very easy.

Spacious Property

We had more than enough room for three people and highly enjoyed the property. There was a bit of a problem with hot water when both showers were running but wasn’t a big deal. It’s conveniently located near a grocery store and the location was very safe and quiet at night.

Florence Stay

The Painters Loft fit us very well. It was perfectly located to get around and right near good restaurants and shopping. I loved the art in the apartment. It set a nice tone. And all the local art studios right on the block of the apartment made the stay even more personal.

Nice and semi-comfortable for four adults, but not 6 as listed. The cot and couch are really designed for children.

Place was nice and close to a lot. A couple of issues with TV not working, Wifi not reaching all rooms in the home and shower not working. Some of these things were fixed while there, if they all get fixed I would give it 5 stars.

Our adult daughters and husband enjoyed the spacey apartment while vacationing in Florence. There were two bathrooms however one shower didn’t seem to get hot. No problem really and a bonus to have a washing machine.

Nice place, a few minor glitches

Overall this is a reasonably good place to stay. Clean, good location, mostly responsive to issues. E.g., the espresso pot was missing a handle and they replaced it quickly. But the front shower had no hot water and this was not resolved. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils. It would have been nice if a few cooking essentials (ie.g., salt, pepper, oil) were provided.

Fine for a short stay

Overall, it was fine for the two nights we stayed there but wouldn’t want to stay longer with 6 people. The beds are not very comfortable and they only had enough pillows and towels for 4 people. I contacted Katrina (the woman who helped us check in) for more supplies but never received a response. The location is wonderful, only a short walk to the Duomo. Also, be aware of all the fees associated with check in (late check in, per-person “city tax” per night) that have to be made in cash. I wish these fees were through Vrbo just in case something were to go wrong.

Excellent Stay in The Painter’s House

We enjoyed four nights at the Painter’s House, on a quiet side street just 3 blocks from Piazza Santa Croce and around the corner from the Scuola di Cuoio. Check-in was easy. The owner’s representative met us at the apartment to give us the keys and show us how to use the air conditioning. Communication was easy via email and WhatsApp, as was payment of the tourist tax. The flat is spacious and well-appointed. Toiletries were well-stocked in the bathrooms and there were ample kitchen utensils and supplies. The air conditioning is excellent for the extreme heat in Florence at the moment. The shower in the large bathroom can be tricky with the hot water, but it was fine once we figured it out. The apartment is very comfortable and you can’t beat the location. Stay here!

Frustrating

I want to say, I have never had to write such a negative review before. I'll start with the good: great location, clean, cooking pans/utensils. (Some of the cabinetry was in disrepair/damaged.) Now to the NOT so good: Zero basics - no dish soap or clean scrubber to wash dishes, no salt/pepper/sugar/oil much less coffee or tea. No good signage around apartment with complete directions for AC etc. We found the clothes drying rack outside a window in the MBR in an internal outdoor area that was very dirty. No laundry soap. No binder with information on history of (Painters) apartment or area/suggestions of things to do, places to eat, no brochures etc. TERRIBLE WiFi connectivity. Only ONE set of keys for up to six people - frustrating and a major inconvenience. The couch that folds out would only sleep one adult or maybe two children and it looked very uncomfortable (we did not use it). The description uses words like "beautiful" and "elegant" - it needs some work to live up to this. Lots of potential but not there yet.

Localisation intéressante

Nice but not cheap

Posizione perfetta, appartamento con ampi spazi e ben fornito ma un po' datato. Materassi invece buoni e lenzuola molto pulite. Non è stato possibile differenziare la spazzatura. Nel complesso valutazione molto buona anche se il prezzo è un po' alto pee una famiglia
