The Bishop’s Court is a beautiful holiday home which has been tastefully furnished. Situated within York’s ancient city walls, in an attractive courtyard just a few minutes’ walk from the historic city centre with its splendid minster. There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, which leads to a stylish and relaxing living room. York’s quaint cobbled streets lead to a plethora of wonderful shops, chic wine bars, restaurants and tea shops; something for everyone! York has many attractions including Jorvik Viking Centre, York Dungeons, Castle Museum and the National Railway Museum, all within walking distance. The racecourse and designer shopping outlet are within a 10 minute drive. Both the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach. Shop and pub 400 yards.

Fantastic house near the centre of York.

Fantastic house near the centre of York. It had everything you could have wanted and was to a very high standard. The 2 bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathroom was really good. Lovely to have a private parking space. The price we paid was very competitive considering the price of similar accommodation in York. If we visit York again we’ll definitely stay in this little gem again.

What a fantastic place to stay, the location couldn't of been better within the City walls and only a 10 min walk from the station. The place was extremely clean and comfortable with everything that you would need for a stay. It would be a 5 star review but the floorboards are so loose and noisy on the first floor. If you go to the bathroom especially at night you wake the whole house. That aside we would definately stay at this property again

Bishops Court offers very well equipped,cosy, comfortable accommodation within very easy walking distance of York Centre. The added bonus of a car parking space right outside is a huge benefit bearing in mind parking issues in major cities.

We had a wonderful stay, the cottage has everything you need, not even 5 minutes walk into York city. We would stay again but if I was paying full price I would think twice, as it's a bit expensive even for the convenience of York ( we had a reduction of almost £200 for a late booking). That was enougjt to pay. There is ample room for a family of four and in a quiet location. Only complaint would be the door needs replacing as not very secure and makes the kitchen cold.

The photos on the website do not do justice to this lovely little cottage justice. It is beautifully furnished and decorated in a modern style, and very well equipped. The cottage was spotlessly clean, with wine, milk, tea, coffee and biscuits left to welcome us. The parking space was a real bonus- we only moved the car once. Will definitely return.

Whilst the facilities were excellent we both experienced difficulties with the steps from kitchen to lounge. They were rather higher than normal and not good for those who had had hip operations. Location gave easy walking access to all main areas of York so no need to use car within city limits.

Fantastic property, superb location

This is a superb property with excellent facilities and a very stylish layout. The decor is modern and has that freshly finished feel to it. The location is close to the city center, but on a quiet street with good facilities nearby. The owners were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. There was tea, coffee, milk and biscuits, and a bottle of wine in the kitchen for our arrival. We've stayed in York many times, but this is the best accommodation so far. We will stay here again.
