It is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday and create new memories!
The home is absolutely beautiful! The bed was comfy and the bathroom was amazing. Loved the claw foot tub! Everything was so private and well-stocked. We will definitely return! Oh, don't let me forget the history of that home! Super cool.

Fun old house near downtown. Very convenient location. LOVED the clawfoot tub! Only complaint: the room got quite warm in the evenings, but there were fans we could bring in and use.

Awww Vaughn, I wish you had told us that your suite was too warm! In the FYI section in your manual we ask guests to call us to adjust the thermostat! Two suites share a unit and we try to balance it to satisfy everyone (not too cold and not too hot). This isn't always easy in a humid environment so it is important for guests to let us know! We do have a fan in each room for guests who like the circulation.
In the house rules I ask everyone to agree to read over the manual when you arrive. It has important information in it. Next time you will know.
Glad you enjoyed everything else!
We were welcomed by a young woman (Go Noles) who was gracious enough to show us to our room and later a tour.
The hotel was beautiful and no doubt had a lot of history (if only it could talk). We were we’re disappointed we didn’t get to meet the owners but we understood they were with family.

We had a very nice experience. It was a completely contactless arrangement. We were able to access the house, do our thing and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in Apalachiacola~!

I took my Mom for a get away weekend and we visited lots of stops close by - St. Georges Island, Port St. Joe, Carabelle. Wonderful room and bathroom with the privacy needed thanks to the pocket doors. They thought of everything! All the details. Down to the toothpicks, mints and music!

Awww, thank you Jackie! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay! This is a wonderful get away!
Needed a get away and landed in Appalachicola, FL at the Majestic Jewel in the Vintage Rose room. Vintage, elegant, comfortable, "Majestic" - all these descriptors pop to the front of my mind. The town is laid back to say the least and if you're looking for water parks and casinos, try further along the coast. This is, looking for sea shells and watching the sunset....and of course eating oysters - You'll love it.

Thank you Scott for a wonderful review! We get great pleasure hearing that our guests enjoyed their experience at the Majestic Jewel! Hopefully you will visit this charming little town again! It is really in a world of it's own!
My friend and I escaped for a moms weekend and chose this B&B for our getaway. We are so glad we did! The hosts were absolutely wonderful! Check-in/out was a breeze! The entire home was immaculate and super charming! Basic necessities were supplied for those like myself, who tend to forget some things at home. We plan on staying here again in the near future!
This is a great place to kick back and relax. June and Greg have done a great job and have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. It's a beautiful place and the Vintage Rose suite is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and I'm sure we will be back.
The Majestic Jewel is aptly named. Lovely place within walking distance of everything. The owners are warm & friendly. Our experience couldn't have been better.
My husband and I have wanted to visit Apalachicola for some time. Not only did we love Apalachicola, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Majestic Jewel. June & Greg were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. We would definitely stay here again.
The magnificent Jewel is an old home that is well maintained. June and Greg are excellent host. The town has a lot to offer and if you go toward the weekend, you'll find live bands. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Nothing like staying in a former bank even if all the real money had been removed. Very nice original wood working that has been retained.
This was the first time I have stay in Apalachicola and it was very nice, the property is located within easy walks to everything. Our hosts were very friendly and answered our questions and our accommodations were very nicely taken care of.
Had a great time exploring Apalachicola from this historical inn very close to town. Would highly recommend!

About the host
Hosted by June Quinn and Greg Vance
Greg & June's dream came true when they purchased this historic home in Apalachicola! They were determined to bring her back to life! With the help of a few good friends & countless electricians & plumbers, their vision became a reality!
They love sharing their home & the charming little town of Apalachicola with guests. After selling their import business in 2020, they are able to spend about 70% of the month in Apalachicola & the remainder at their home in Atlanta. Although they are not in residence 100% of the time, they welcome requests from guests who prefer to visit while they are there.
Why they chose this property
In 2017, seeking to simplify life, the search was on for an opportunity to open a "small" business in Apalachicola. All roads kept leading back to the old bank on Avenue E. It had so much potential yet had been sitting dark & empty for almost 8 years! It was originally built in 1908 as a private residence for the family of a prominent German immigrant who made his wealth in the dry goods industry in Apalachicola. It had remained in the Flatauer family until the 1980's when it was bought, restored & converted into a bank & an insurance agency. The old bank lobby is now the Inn's Hospitality Lobby & guest kitchenette. History of the home & her people are displayed here.
What makes this property unique
Staying at the Majestic Jewel Inn is the best way to experience southern grandeur in the charming little town of Apalachicola! It is located in the center of the historic district & less than 2 blocks from the restaurants, shops, galleries & pubs. The river wharf & bay are a short 4 walks. Beauty & history surround us!
Although we are not a Bed & Breakfast, we do have plenty of extras for our guests. Self-serve coffee, tea, cold drinks, bottled water, oatmeal, milk & cereal. A guest kitchenette is also available. Majestic Jewel is the perfect setting to mix & mingle or simply relax! There is plenty of space to enjoy!
Guests love the huge wrap around verandas. Great place to relax & catch the breeze! Best spot in town!
