La propiedad recién adquirida en la playa, sin hogares entre usted y el Océano, permite a nuestros huéspedes disfrutar de las vistas del Golfo desde el interior de las áreas de cocina, sala de estar y dormitorio principal. Esta es una casa de cinco dormitorios y cinco baños con piscina privada climatizada. Gulf Swells & Sea Shells cuenta con acceso a playa privada frente a la casa con algunos de los mejores bombardeos, pesca, observación de la naturaleza y observación del atardecer que North Captiva tiene para ofrecer. Ya sea que esté en la piscina o paseando por la terraza, disfrute de los sonidos tranquilos de las relajantes aguas del golfo. ¡Nuevos electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable llegarán en diciembre de 2019, con muchas más actualizaciones en los próximos meses!

Gulf Swells & Sea Shells presenta un plano de planta inverso con cuatro dormitorios, cuatro baños y una sala de lavandería en el nivel principal. What a wonderful property!

Each year we travel as a family . North Captiva for 2 years now and first time at this property. House is lovely and well maintained. Great location, very close to beach which is always a must for us.

Island Getaway

The property was what we expected and more! It was perfect for our group of eight. I especially appreciated the ample amount of bath towels, beach towels and other beach and house necessities that are not otherwise available on the island. Both the homeowner and Tortuga Properties made communication and our stay easy and enjoyable.

Dreamy Island Vacation

This was our first time traveling to North Captiva. It was such a beautiful house. We appreciated how clean and new the house was. All of our family was able to have their own bedroom and bathroom as well. We plan on returning again soon. You will LOVE this home.

We had a wonderful time! The property is exactly as expected. Super clean and plenty of space for our 10 family members. The location to the beach was perfect. Absolutely amazing! You will love this property!

We had high expectations and the property exceeded our expectations! The location was excellent (just a short walk to the beach) with gorgeous views of the beach and evening sunsets. The house layout was perfect with a large open floorpan on the second floor that our family really enjoyed. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and the beds were all very comfortable. Our 5 kids really loved the pool, hammock, and screened in back porches! We wish we could live there year around!

Perfect Rental for Large Families in an Ideal Location

Communication with owner was top-notch. We stayed at this rental property the end 2024 and beginning of 2025, and it was the perfect fit for our family of nine. The spacious layout provided plenty of room for everyone to relax without feeling cramped. The multiple bedrooms and bathrooms were a huge bonus, making it easy for the kids to have their space.The location was unbeatable—just a short walk from a stunning beach. We loved starting our mornings with beach strolls and ending the day watching the sunset. The convenience of being so close to the water made our vacation even more relaxing and enjoyable.We highly recommend this vacation property!!

Excellent place for an extended family!

Excellent place for a party of 10! We had two families with kids ranging in age from 3-13 and two grandparents. My dad has mobility issues so he enjoyed the beach view from the deck and the short walk to the beach. The pool was great for the kids. The house was clean and roomy. The owners were very accessible by phone and got back to us immediately with questions we had. I have stayed in many places around the country and this house and location has been my favorite!

Family Vacation

Gulf Swells and Seashells is a beautiful house close to the beach. It was very clean and we were so comfortable there. The Tortuga Properties people were responsive and did their best to make our stay relaxing and care free. The island is obviously not back to normal after hurricane Ian but they are getting there. We were a little confused as to what kind of places were available to eat at and luckily we were prepared to fix our own meals. The grocery delivery service made that very easy for us. We had a great, relaxing trip and enjoyed visiting North Captiva.

Gulf Swells and Seashells is Perfect in Every Way!

If you are going to North Captiva Island, I highly recommend staying at Gulf Swells and Seashells! This home is newly renovated, nicely decorated and includes so many amenities! It’s a perfect size and layout and accommodated all seven of us very comfortably and within a minute walk to the beach. Our stay included everything from the comfy beds, the heated pool, a minute walk to the beach, it’s own golf cart, beach towels, washer and dryer, and even a pinball machine! The owners didn’t leave anything out and really thought of every little detail which made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable! Thank you Paul and Cindy for being so gracious and providing such a wonderful home away from home for us to enjoy. And thank you for having Laurie and Duncan from Tortuga there to take such great care of us! I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back!

Spacious beautiful home with well appointed kitchen

This home is spacious, beautifully decorated and perfect for a large family. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. The pool, pool table, hammock, golf cart and other amenities make rest and relaxation a breeze. The home is a short walk to a private gated beach entrance. All this said, families should be aware the island was ravaged by a hurricane a year ago, and may houses are uninhabitable or under construction. Debris and construction supplies border many of the roads. We lost power for 8 hours one day, and we were told it was related to construction in the area. You should also be prepared to cook most, if not all, meals. Only 2 restaurants are open in the island, and 1 of those only on Saturday/Sunday. Highly suggest the Over the Waterfront restaurant. We were primarily there for the beach, so it worked great for us, but if the beauty of the overall island is important to you, be advised.

Perfect Vacation

The house was absolutely perfect for our multi-generational family vacation. Everything was so clean and all of the rooms were comfortable. The beach is right out the front door and my husband loved the fishing. There was so much natural beauty- our kids loved finding shells, spotting birds and identifying fish. The owners had some pamphlets that they used to identify each one in the evening. My dad loved using the golf cart to explore with his grand kids! The owners were very nice and helped us navigate the logistics of traveling to the island by boat and securing all of our groceries. It was intimidating at first but once we got there it was so nice to not be running to the grocery store each day! We were really able to focus on our family time. We enjoyed kayaking and golf cart rides to get ice cream! The pools both at the house and the Island Club were a great addition. I loved exploring the trails in the nature preserve. We saw tortoises, manatees, dolphins, bonnet sharks and a ray! We rented a boat for a couple days and explored some nearby islands- we would highly recommend an excursion to Cabbage Key. Be prepared to pay “Island prices” for any dining out you do- but it’s worth the treat every once in a while. We used the property management company to deliver fresh seafood one night and that was great! Next time we will probably do that more than once. We will definitely be back!

Property beautiful as described. Island experience was amazing. Property manager leaves a lot to be desired. Very unresponsive. Will be back to North Captiva for sure, just maybe not with Tortuga Properties.

We can't say enough about this property and it's location. It was a perfect getaway for a surprise 80th birthday party. Plenty of space, beautiful views and perfect for dinner parties. The family of Osprey's kept us entertained day and night. The peacefulness provided for a great getaway.

From Kansas Heartland to Captiva's Shores: Our Island Journey

We're a spirited family from Kansas, driven by fun and a thirst for adventure! Back in 2008, during a family getaway, we were captivated by the enchanting beauty of Captiva, Florida's islands. The flat landscapes of Kansas gave way to the allure of the ocean. Fast forward three years, and our heartland spirit led us to owning a stunning home on Captiva, cherished both as our personal haven and a rental delight.

In 2018, a desire for a slower pace prompted us to seek anew. Enter 2019, and the quest brought us to Upper Captiva, where we discovered our haven, Gulf Swells & Sea Shells. Countless summers have etched memories into our kids' hearts on these very shores. The joy of collecting diverse shells on the beach is a shared family delight. And oh, the thrill of boating and fishing while surrounded by captivating wildlife – it's a sight to behold!

From heartland to island, our journey continues, and we invite you to experience the beauty and simplicity of these shores with us.

We decided on Gulf Swells & Sea Shells due to its size, 5 bedrooms 5 baths, wonderful open floor plan, high ceilings, Ocean views and its location on the beach. We are Literally a few steps away to all the amazing sand, shells and beautiful waters of the gulf of Mexico. We love North Captiva's laid back atmosphere, Golf Cart commuting and state park.
