Both lower level bedrooms have access to the covered deck that gives you the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors no matter what the weather. Short Hiking Trip Away

House was nice, clean and comfortable as it rained most of our trip. I was disappointed that the "short hike to the creek" was a steep incline as we had brought our dog for that specific reason. Alot of close hiking trails in the area.

Fun at the Canopy House

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Canopy House. The accommodations were great. There is plenty of room to stretch out inside and the outside amenities were peaceful and relaxing. The location is very close to all the activities in the Deep Creek area. I would recommend staying at this home to anyone looking to visit Deep Creek,

Our family stayed for the holidays and we had a great time! The place was as advertised and well worth it. We had some trouble getting out of the parking area due to the weather but, the maintenance guys came out on more than one occasion in a very timely manner and were very helpful during our stay.

My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay on property. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It is very quiet and peaceful. The steep drive way and visibility when pulling out is the only thing to watch out for but that is just the nature of the area.

The Perfect Holiday Escape

We were seeking a quiet retreat to the mountains for Christmas and found that plus more at Canopy Escape! Arriving to unexpected snow on Christmas Eve, finding the home tastefully decorated with lights and walking in to a lit Christmas tree was simply magical. From there, we found the home to be clean, well stocked, with comfortable furnishings and quite cozy. Although the home “feels” remote, it is close enough to everything. The stream on the property, which can be heard from the decks, is beautiful and well worth the short hike to see. Our thanks to the owners for the extra touches and sharing your home. We will definitely return!

Lovely home in a lovely area.

This property was clean and comfortable. It is close to all the Deep Creek attractions. We had a wonderful weekend and will certainly return. Our complaint is pretty granular, but we were hopeful for a fire pit and excited that the property advertised having one. We did enjoy the propane heater while sitting on the deck, but we would not qualify this as a fire pit. Thanks for sharing your space!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the house but was glad it was just the two of us. Kitchen counters would have been crowded if more in group as not room to put your own groceries. One burner on grill not working but maintenance fixed the next day. Propane empty in gas firepit; they brought next day but then couldn't get to work. Master room upstairs would be uncomfortable if temps were warmer than when we were there. The inroom AC can keep you awake. Would only recommend for 4 for more comfortability.

Fun first time at Deep Creek Lake

Overall it was great. Only thing I would mention the owners consider is carpet cleaning (or replacement), one of the unfortunate side effects of being dog friendly, some people don't clean up well after their dogs. There was a stagnant dog urine smell in the living room, you don't notice until you are sitting on the couch. Also, we thought the little creek outback was going to be easier to get to from the pictures, but it is VERY downhill, and a little overgrown, and wet! We still went anyway, it was an adventure. There is no dock access included but there are two kayaks. Some positives: It's a very succluded and pretty location, every thing was clean and comfortable (other than the carpet), everything we needed was there and worked well. We did have to have someone come out for the little fire pit on the deck, but they fixed it same day - The handle is wonky. It's also in a good central location. OH! Check the remote batteries, we had trouble with a few of them. If you are staying here, bring batteries!

Cute cozy private home, must be self reliant and patient.

Upon arrival the door code did not work. After sitting on hold over 10 minutes was given one that did work. While family sat in car grumbling about when we could go to dinner… then ran in to use restroom and drop off bags but toilet didn’t flush. Turned out after another phone call water was off due to freezing temps. That’s fine, but a heads up before arrival or during the first phone call would’ve been nice. Still didn’t work. After Another phone call it was determined the well pump was off. Again fine, but this has been yet another delay after a long drive. During the stay we got what I think looked like about a foot of snow. I asked rental company to plow even giving them time we’d be out so as not to be in the way. They never came. Causing us to have to shovel, a lot, on vacation, to get our 4x4 up and out the steep driveway. When I texted back to say nobody came, I got no response. Anyway, the house was clean (except for some dishes- the dishwasher is not great and apparently not checked before items returned to cabinets) but needs a lot of cosmetic work. And the water needs a filter system. Kids insisted on brushing teeth with bottled water. I’m sure it’s not an issue in less extreme temps but the lower level was freezing while the top level was hot.Most of our issues besides the check in and water were due to the weather but the lack of response from management company was disappointing. Liked the quiet street. Not at the house much at a place like Deep Creek anyway.

Great Property with minor inconveniences

The house and location are great! The kids loved the creek at the bottom of the hill. Minor inconveniences included a non working gas grill, even after the property manager dropped off new propane, and the coffee maker was missing a pot even though we were told to bring coffee filters. Overall we had a great time but would have planned accordingly had we know about the nonworking grill and coffee maker.

Ski weekend getaway

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property which was just a few miles down the road from the Wisp Resort. The hot tub was great. We didn’t get a chance to try out the propane fire pit due to the snow but I’m sure we would have enjoyed it if we could have. Very lovely bedrooms and living area. No complaints!

We never got to use the fire pit. Saturday night the maintenance man rigged it with duck tape and had me light it burning my hand. Called Sunday and the Manager gave me $75.00 off my bill and $100 voucher! REALLY?!

Enjoyable seclusion

Our trip was very enjoyable but the only three factors that didn’t satisfy our stay was the smell in the water, the different temperatures in each level and adding blinds to some areas in house. Previous reviews state the same problems and seems as management hasn’t taken into consideration and taken action to address these problems for future renters. Since the problem persists in 2020 of the water & temperature. Overall this place would be the go to place for a nice get away but they really need to fix those problems because it really caused a burden of even wanting to shower.

Located a little too far from the lake & activities for me. Also, no real areas to walk other than the road. No fault of the owners, but the ground was saturated around the property which resulted in falls in the mud for two family members.
