This is a great place for two people for a short stay in Asbury Park. Super cute, super clean, sweet comfort offerings (ie slippers, robes, etc). Owners very kind and helpful. Highly recommend.

This is an adorable little cottage located adjacent to the owner's property in a very nice neighborhood that is only 6 blocks from the beach. It is very roomy inside - absolutely perfect for the two of us! The cottage is pristine and well-appointed. Oversized beach towels, terry robes and slipper socks were a very nice touch. The host is very responsive and helpful. We would definitely book this property if we travel to the area again.

Cozy Cottage!

Very comfortable stay for a night to attend a concert at The Stone Pony. The cottage is quaint and cozy. It has everything you need. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would definitely consider staying here again in the future and recommend it to others.

Adorable place! It was clean and the host provided everything you needed for a cozy stay. The host provided clear instructions which made for a very easy stay. I would return myself and recommend to others!

Love this neighborhood

Everything about our stay was great, but I especially enjoyed the neighborhood. It's a quiet residential area, and yet there's a coffee shop and deli a short walk away and it's only a few minutes drive to get to the Boardwalk.

Great location, perfect size for 2 people (we were a little cramped at 3 adults but made it work for the weekend). Great location on a beautiful block and easy parking. I highly recommend! Our hosts gave very clear directions and communication was prompt and easy.

Great little getaway

Booked this property for a wedding on the beach, it was exactly as described, if the weather cooperated it would’ve been perfect to sit outside. Private and not too loud, the train is nearby but you honestly don’t hear it inside. Great spot to escape

Cutest Little Cottage

Margaret and Randy were great hosts-upon arrival Randy greeted us and was so welcoming, offering to assist us in any way. Getting into the cottage was simple, the door was unlocked for us, and felt super safe because it is located on their property! All the amenities you could need are available, and the little patio was so adorable to sit and relax on after each beach day. The walk to the beach was 15 minutes and had access to the cutest part of the boardwalk in my opinion. Main Street with the trendy and funky R Bar is a mere five minute walk. Do not miss this adorable spot.

Cute space but small and not very private

The cottage was cute and had a great location - within walkable distance of the beach, lots of restaurants, and Main Street. The furniture and bedding was comfortable and had all the basics you'd need. The bathroom was quite small with very little counter space. I was alone, but if multiple people were in the house, there would be nowhere to store toiletries and every time the bathroom was used, the plumbing was very noisy. The only significant downside to this lovely little space was that it's located behind the owner's home, and the day that I was trying to work/write, the owners were tidying up their backyard and were moving about the area directly around the cottage for several hours. I did not feel comfortable leaving the windows open and playing music until they left. If you need a home base while visiting Asbury Park and won't spend much time indoors and don't need much space, this spot would be perfect, but if you want a more secluded experience when you're there, this isn't it.

Noreen, Thank you so much for staying and for taking the time to review. I am left a little confused by your comments. Asbury Park is a music haven so nobody is going to complain if you play yours. I am sorry that my husband cutting the lawn for an hour in the middle of the day disturbed your peace. Just like a hotel or other STR, we do have to maintain the property but we are always mindful of our guests. You didn't mention anything to us. The house is not described as accommodating multiple people so some of your issues are not germane to the space. I rechecked the plumbing and I couldn't replicate the noise you heard. Asbury Park is a city by the sea and we pride ourselves on our beautiful surroundings. It is not an isolated area so you are correct, if you are looking for isolation, Asbury is probably not appropriate. We wish you the very best. Margaret

Cute Bungalow

We arrived on a Sunday and stayed until Friday morning. Five nights of stays. The cottage was as cute as can be. We walked inside with all of our baggage and realized we had no where to store our stuff. The place was clean although a manager on site told us the a/c was dripping due to condensation, it was on 65 pretty cold for us so we moved it up to 77. The place was so adorable just like the pictures. As we unpacked we noticed no drawers were available. Every drawer was packed with blankets and pillows. We emptied two cabinets in the living room into baskets and stored our clothes there. It seems it The kitchen was well supplied with generous amounts of appliances and utensils, glasses, etc. Full size fridge, beautiful stove top, gas, and a toaster oven. Check out was a breeze we left the place clean and was out before the deadline of 11:00. What became a problem was the deposit refund. VRBO does not refund deposits for two weeks. The owner and us were unaware of this policy. A week had passed with no deposit rwe did not loose the beach as badges, the owner said they did not have it and told us to contact VRBO. Then the owner said it would be 14 days until we were refunded. VRBO then notified that if there was a problem with the deposit we would have to contact the owner of the property.

Hi Tricia-Teeta, Thank you for your stay at our cottage and for your review. We were quite shocked with the idea that there is no place to leave your stuff. There are two drawers under the bed, a bureau in the bedroom and in the living room and a facilities to hang cloths behind the bedroom door. You are free to remove anything in those drawers since the contents are merely for your added comfort. Also, there is a manager available who could help you with this and any other issue at any time, night and day. In terms of the deposit, it may be that you are unused to using VRBO. The deposit is not provided to the host. It is held by VRBO. They have a policy of holding it for 14 days. That is not the owners policy, it is VRBO's and it is applied to every guest. It seems rather unfair to put that in a review of a listing when an owner is not in control of this. I did follow up on your multiple emails about this and let you know when you would get your deposit back. Hopefully it is a lesson learned and if you every use VRBO again, you will know how the system works. We wish you the best, Margaret

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We bought our property in 2018 because I had to live by water! When we bought the main house, a Victorian built in 1890, we saw it's potential and wanted to bring it back to it's former glory. That included lovingly renovating the cottage in the back which had fallen into disrepair. It has been a labor of love and we hope you can also appreciate it's uniqueness and charm.

Living, and visiting, this part of Asbury Park has such great advantages. Walk a block to Deal lake and launch or rent a canoe or paddle board and explore the many fingers of the lake. Walk a few more blocks to the beautiful, clean beaches of Asbury. Sunbath, surf, swim, eat at the many restaurants. Kids can enjoy the water park or take in the Pinball Arcade. A block from the cottage, at Sunset Point, explore the shops, take a Yoga/Pilates class, or get your morning coffee and bagels in Booskerdoo's.
