Lovely stay

Great stay. Note, in February, the sun is shaded by the big walls by 2pm. This did not dampen our fun.

The house was great. Kitchen has everything you would need. To bad you cant always get into the resort pool due to being at capacity.

Pleasant stay at Solterra Resort

We had a very pleasant stay. The check in process was easy; we found the condo well equipped and very clean; the facilities were very nice; and, the property management was easy to contact and responsive. The only negative would be the very low furniture which knew about from previous reviews so we were prepared. But with that said, it is very difficult for some to use.

Great place

It was a great place close to things. The community pool and the private pool were great for the kids. Our only complaint was the very uncomfortable couch and that there was no comfortable place to sit anywhere. The beds were comfortable. The couch was also fabric and had stains on it. For a rental place there are usually materials that can easily be wiped off. Overall it was a nice place.

Clean and Comfy Townhouse

Clean, clean, clean! Other than location, cleanliness is the most important feature when I rent a house. 5 stars for this location. I also appreciated the easy, breezy decor of this home. I felt relaxed upon entering the front door. Unfortunately, I gave only 2 stars for location because the commute to and from Orlando was horrendous everyday of my stay, day or night. Obviously, this is no fault of the owner, but I likely will consider staying closer to the city next time I'm in town. My 2 recommendations for improvements to the property are: 1. Provide instructions for operating the tvs 2. Replace or repair the front door lock. It was a bit wonky to work.

Look for something better

First and foremost communication with the owner horrible. Owner will not call you, only way to get a hold him is through messages. We had to wait over an hour for them to finish cleaning instead checking inn at 4 it was well over 5. Pool was dirty with hair and bugs, screen was damaged so there was a lot of bugs inside of the screen. Place could be updated as well. We booked it for 3 nights and left after second night there. Would not recommend this place.

Clean but empty

The property was nice and clean, looks like pictures. The neighborhood was nice and clean and felt safe. The check in and check out was easy. The host was great to respond and answer questions fast. The community pool was awesome, warm and super fun. The kids and adults all loved that. The thinks I wish would have been different. 1. The pool at the house was freezing and after booking we were told we would have to pay more to heat it. LAME2. There was no basics in the house like salt and pepper. 3. The small shampoo and soaps didn't last long enough for our stay and that was hard because there was 3 bathrooms and 8 people for 5 days. I was bugged I had to buy all the bathroom supplies after day 2. 4.Beds were not great.

The door lock was a pain

Overall stay was good and the house was clean. The only negative thing is the door lock was broken and was very difficult to lock and unlock. I advised the property manager upon arrival and was told someone would come to fix it the next morning. She told where the key was but it was very difficult to lock and unlock. No one ever came the next day. I called the property manager and left a message and never heard back from her again. Communication is key. Otherwise I would have given a better rating.

Only 2 nights

Due to a break in the sewer line outside of the unit, we had to move with just two nights of our 14 night vacation. The management company was able to move us into another home in the neighborhood, but we really wished we could have stayed in this unit. The beds were comfortable and they had cable or streaming capability in all their tv’s. Nothing better than flipping channels for us older folks. Barb with the management company was very helpful in getting a plumbing company out to try and repair the issue. Do to the break being outside, the condo association had to take over the repair, which was going to take many days. Barb then assisted us with some issues in the new place we moved.

Troublesome stay

Upon arriving, the code for the door didn’t work. Later I found out the door had been left opened, which was a safety hazard as I am a single mom with children. We couldn’t leave the property as a family as one person had to stay back and lock the door from the inside for two days of our stay. Additionally, the pathway in the front of the property was obstructed with the bricks being pulled up. This wasn’t remedied until the 6th day of our stay. The house was cleaned immaculately which was a plus. The whirlpool didn’t work the first few days, then only worked intermittently. Then the stove went out and didn’t work fully for 5 days!!! They only refunded one night smh

Beautiful home!

This is a beautiful home and fit 4 adults and 4 children perfectly. The kitchen is hug and has everything you need for cooking. The right side of the stove is broken… the back burner is not connected and the front burner knob is weird and hard to turn off, but we just used the left side. The dining area is GORGEOUS. The home was very clean other than one toilet had a gross surprise when we arrived and there was a dead palmetto, we inspected the house upon arrival for any other bugs like cockroaches and bedbugs and did NOT find anything which was obviously a relief. I do suggest keeping the laundry room door open when drying clothes as it gets very steamy and condensation builds up. Over all we had a very nice stay. I could see us staying long term, the closets were huge and the kids rooms were adorable. Only complaint would be the stove and the line at the entrance of the subdivision. During the week it wasn’t terrible but Saturday and Sunday we waited in line on the busy road for 15 mins each time to enter. Not the hosts fault of course, the subdivision should just have a better system in place. If you were planning to goto a nearby theme park it would be the perfect location. It is 2 hours from most beaches but the drive really wasn’t bad. I would stay again if we were to goto disney!

Perfect for Kids

Family Vacation

This property was great for our family of 8. 4 adults and 4 kids slept comfortably here and it was close to restaurants and shops. We went to LEGOLAND so it was 45 minutes from there but the commute was not bad at all so no complaints! We definitely reccomend this property and hope to stay again in the future.

Dead zone area for phone signal

First two days of our arrival there was no internet due to an outage with Spectrum. The biggest issue without WiFi is that there is no cell phone signal so making and receiving calls was impossible inside of the property. You need to make sure Internet is working. We had a good stay once internet was restored. The kids room upstairs had a bad odor in the closet and rugs were not very clean. Aside from our bad experience it's peaceful stay.

Great Little Getaway

My family and I truly enjoyed staying at this property. It had more than enough room for a family of five and the kids enjoyed the themed rooms. One of the kids rooms had books and toys to play with; even with a t.v. in the room, they were able to busy themselves with the stuff in the room, so that was nice/convenient. The master and guest bedroom (downstairs) was nice and spacious – my family stayed upstairs so we didn’t use the guest room at all. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed to eat at home; there’s plenty of accessories like the panini press that made quick eats. The pool at the house was nice to have and use after a long day out of the house. I could appreciate having it on hand as much as the kids did – there were times where I didn’t feel like leaving the house and the kids just needed to occupy themselves. With that said, the neighborhood pool was a nice amenity. I’d advise to double check on maintenance windows, because our first time using the community pool, they performed maintenance from 1500-2000. We were still able to use the house pool, but we missed out on a day of using the big pool and really looked forward to it. The kids enjoyed the water slide and lazy river. Being able to order food there was great because we didn’t have to break away to get something to eat. Another tip, try to get to the pool early – they open at 0900 and by 1000 all of the gazebos were taken and people started putting towels on chairs to reserve their spots. Overall, the experience with the house and community was great. I’d recommend this property to anyone who was on the go like us, or would enjoy staying at home with all the extra perks to just relax…

Great House, Terrible dealing with pool heat

The house is great and all that we needed then some. However, the furniture is extremely low to the ground. The couch in the living room is 12” of the ground, you are basically sitting on the ground. The house was clean and ready to go for us. We paid to have the pool heated the whole week. When we got here it was so cold you couldn’t put your feet in. After it was 85 outside the first day, my son was able to get in it for a short time. I called the maintenance line and they said it was lost that I paid for heating and they’d send someone out the next day, which is our 3rd day down here. We will see if it heats up, but currently the pool is at 72 degrees and it’s supposed to be set to heat to 87. I will be getting all my money back for pool heat if this is not resolved by tomorrow evening.
