Welcome to Salty But Sweet at Sundune Village by KEES Vacations!

If you were any closer, you'd be right on the oceanfront. Sundune Village, at Milepost 9 in Kill Devil Hills, is just one short block to the Martin St. beach access. This is a perfect location for your Outer Banks vacation. Located just minutes from all the shops, restaurants, and attractions you look forward to each year, you can be there in minutes. And you'll be at the beach in less than that. How much better can it get?

Salty But Sweet is the perfect condominium for friends, small families, or couples traveling together. It is large enough to be spacious while retaining a comfortable and intimate feel. This vacation property has 2 bedrooms, one with a Queen En Suite and one with a Queen and Twin Bed, and a full hall shared bathroom. The great room features plenty of comfortable seating and a flat-screen TV for your favorite shows or a movie. A lovely slider to the patio can provide a moment of solitude or perhaps the setting for a glass of wine shared between friends. The dining area has a comfortable table and 6 chairs. The kitchen features a lovely chic coastal decor and is fully equipped to prepare the perfect meal.

The Sundune Village community offers resort-style vacationing with a lovely in-ground pool, sun loungers, and picnic area with park-style grills and tables.

Family OBX Stay

Excellent stay, the condo was spacious, clean and had everything we needed! Very convenient access to stores, restaurants and the public beach access!

Family vacation

Great location, close to beach, restaurants, and stores. Lots of things to do in kill Devil hills. Having two bathrooms is a plus. Nice outdoor furniture.. would recommend staying there.

Short getaway

This place was so lovely. The owner was very responsive to our questions. Beach just 2 blocks away and food lion for a quick run 1 block away. The house is beautifully decorated and peaceful! Definitely would stay again!

Conveniently located for beach access

Great location with easy access to the beach and near restaurant and shops. Had problems using TV , no instructions for use. Not the cleanest place I’ve stayed in but tolerable except for a blanket which required washing before use.

Perfect location

Great place for getaway. 2-3 minutes walk to the beach. Shower pressure was good l, kitchen was good, place was clean. They have lots of Keurig coffee choices. Many many movies, board games for kids and family. We barely drove out while we stayed. Pharmacies that have groceries were in walking distance, as well as restaurants.

Sun dune condo #106

Great location to beach. Condo in need of minor repairs. Upon arrival sand on floor, some cleaning needed, couch needs major cleaning bc it smells like old urine closest to the glass doors. Good communication and appreciate the delivery of towels the same day.

Nice Spot w. Small Flaws

The location is great. The space is nice and well-stocked. We didn't do much cooking, but the kitchen has plenty of tools if needed. Issues: Floors under the furniture were extremely dusty with other debris - nothing a Swiffer couldn't fix but kind of gross and was no good for my dust allergy. There were also a few stains on curtains, carpet - nothing terrible, but they did detract from the otherwise nice place. I did have an issue with the door code - no where did it state that you had to start with #. That would have been helpful and likely would have prevented being on hold for 10-15 minutes with the rental company. The rental / management company do seem very good - professional, considerate, friendly, helpful.

Salty But Not So sweet

First, I’m thankful we had a roof over our heads and a place to sleep. Second, once the kinks were worked out, the place was pretty nice. Got to our condo about 1030 or 11 pm. No beds were made. I did call the emergency number listed due to no sheets or blankets. Linens were delivered sometime after 6 am. Kitchen floor and dining area had spaghetti everywhere. Toilets, shower and sink area we’re not cleaned. Bathroom floors still had previous occupants hair and whatnot, as did carpeted areas. Hair and soap residues in the shower. Toilet seats with feces on them. After a late night trip to the store for cleaning supplies, I was able to fix all that. A 20 minute vacuum job and carpets were “clean”, but still wore shoes throughout. Washer had black mold. Tried to clean as best as I could. Good location, nice pool area but didn’t get a chance to use because of the weather. Very close to the beach; a very short walk, and close to very good restaurants. We just made the best of it and had a wonderful time. Would I stay with them again? Not sure. Looked like their cleaning people were contracted out and they didn’t take the time to do what they’re paid for. Other than that, OBX is amazing. A beautiful place with extremely friendly people. If you get a chance go visit!

Nice condo

It was very clean and a short walk to the beach. The only thing we had a problem with is the internet being slow certain times of the day because so many were using it i assume. Also the mattresses were cheap and not very comfortable. Overall a nice stay though.
