I misread the check in time and arrived close to 5am. We had the codes to get in so we came in to get some shuteye before heading out to the beach. We did have to pay an extra day due to us arriving 11 hours early. Finding a parking spot was easy. 2 roaches greeted us along with a few ants. Water pressure was poor, but still we were all able to shower. The pictures showed the backyard with a hot tub but we did not have access to it. Aside from that, the apartment served its purpose and we had a blast on our trip to Galveston.

From the Owner: "I'm sorry for the weather being hot & bugs liking to roam past pest control barriers. We are on an island & they do live here too. As far as the hot tub, yes, you do have access to it, you follow the direction around from of the building & enter through the front gates."

Not a bad place to stay

We got their around 1:30 am found the main bed was broken. We contacted the manager that next morning and she fixed it right away. Not many parking spots either.

We sincerely apologize that the box spring was broken and once we were made aware of the concern, we immediately remedied the situation and fixed it. Guests can rest assured that the issue now permanently resolved and the bed is guest ready. - We aim for transparency and our listing and photos are accurately advertised. The property description states there are parking available for guest use and it's street parking on first come, first serve basis. We truly do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Weekend trip

We enjoyed everything about our rental except for the water pressure 😩😩😩😩. Bathing our 5 &3 year old in a trickle if water was quite the event. I'm glad we were only there for 2 nights...any longer and we would have had to book a different rental. Besides that, we enjoyed having everything provided for us- down to kid friendly plates and cups, beach towels and toiletries.

Home Away From Home

The property was exactly as pictured! It was located just off the main strip- close enough to enjoy but not deal with the traffic. The beds were SOOO comfortable, which is a huge plus when staying away from home. The property manager lives on-site, and was very welcoming. We did not have to reach out for anything, but ran into her while using the outside area one evening. The only negative thing I could say was the coffee bar was not restocked. Everything else was just as or better than expected!

Place was fine, it served the purpose. Bathroom was nice and clean with shampoo, body wash and conditioner dispenser and adequate towels. Utensils and futon can use some tlc, had to rewash utensils, a couple more chairs would complete the 6 it said it can accommodate, bed were probably full size kinda tight for 2 but works and customer service could be more customer oriented — this mostly spelled the rating made here.

Unexpected

We arrived after dark and was a little concerned with the area. We parked directly on the street in front of the building. As we entered, there was an old musty smell in the hot stairwell. We opened the door and it was nice and clean but still a bold odor. As we settled in for the night, the bed was awful. It has a huge dip in the middle so we sank into the dip all night long. The next morning we tried to shower. There was absolutely no water pressure. We decided to leave and go to another place to stay.

From the Owner: Sharrah, -The mattresses are new in every unit as of this spring. While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences. -We vacuum the hallway and mop it after every guest's departure and the day of the new guest's arrival as a courteous gesture. -We are at the property almost daily with our guests, and I was never notified about the water pressure. I will make sure it gets resolved for future guests. We are sorry you felt you had to leave. We encourage guests to reach out to us while they are in residence with any issues so we can address any concerns quickly for a most comfortable stay.

Retro Unit

This apartment was adorable and its theme made me smile! I opened the door and was transported back in time to my childhood! The owner was incredibly sweet, even while dealing with her own travel issues! And, within less than 10 minutes of our conversation on the phone, we had the tiny issue/request resolved! Appreciated her promptness, even though she was in another state, she was so kind and easy to talk to! Close to the beach, and the main seawall drive, took us less than 5 minutes to get down to the beach and in the sand. Apartment was cozy and homey, very clean, quiet area. We felt safe in the neighborhood. Paid less to stay than we would have in a hotel and had more room to spread out, and be able to cook together, do laundry, relax with our favorite shows in our down time on separate televisons in separate rooms and not be piled on top of each other. The electronic lock/code system was awewome, so we didnt have to worry about keeping track of a key or a card. We enjoyed our stay very much, price point was amazing,only wish we could have stayed longer!
