  • Beautiful location

"The spacious older unit has a young kitchen and is being further upgraded. We found it clean and comfortable for our March week. We had windows open most of the time, but did need heat one chilly evening--and it heated up quickly. The owner is very responsive. He corrected a dishwasher problem and when he came to assess the issue, he even replenished some missing items. The beach is beautiful--a short walk, across a bridge over a stream, then dunes, then the white sand and gorgeous gulf. Beautiful sunsets! Even with a full complex, we always found chaises or chairs at the well used pool. Tennis courts were busy, as were bbq grills in the evening. The 2nd floor unit is handy to pool, path to beach, office (which allowed printing boarding passes). The covered parking was a pleasant surprise. A benefit to the location was the distance from the crowds, yet handy enough to be within a 15 minute drive to restaurants and shopping. Bring bug spray--southwest Florida is well populated!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 3 generations, age 9 to 74. Had enough to do for everybody. Beautiful weather. Loved the tennis courts where we played pickleball. The pool was beautiful. Short walk to the beach. What's not to like? The apt was clean, well provisioned with cook ware, linens, towels, beach toys."

  • Tropical Getaway

"Where do I start. The first time I came to the island it was just a getaway with my girlfriend enjoying a nice relaxed vacation. After staying here, I realized this was a place I wanted to visit yearly. With the amount of different wildlife and tropical views it made me feel like I was on a tropical getaway. The sunsets at the beach are so relaxing and at times you heard nothing but the chirping of the birds and the crashing of the waves. Since then, I've been visiting here for the last 9 years. This was a place where I got engaged and spend my honeymoon. This island places a special part in my life. My wife and I now have children and plan to bring them here. This island is defiantly a place for children and adults. The amount of amenities to do here will keep you busy for weeks. The owner is definitely someone who I would want to do business with in the future. I plan on coming here in the future and make this a family tradition."

  • Fantastic property on a beautiful island

"There were six of us on a vacation with extended family and this house worked perfectly for us. We had the king bed we needed and one of the bedrooms had two twins which was great also. The decor was so lovely and peaceful, and of the highest quality. We were so close to the beach though, we could easily walk. I liked being on this end of the island, too. It was quieter than being super close to the pubs and the island beaches are absolutely stunning! They offer the same ocean colors and white powder sand as a Caribbean island...complete with endless shells and shark teeth to hunt for on the sandy shores! Our kids loved the beach treasures!!!. We cooked most nights, but also biked to restaurants (The Island Cow,Bubble room). Having the bar area plus the dining room table for family meals gave us a lot of space. With bikes rented from Finnimore Cycle Shop for the week it was easy to ride up to Captiva and ride around Ding Darling Nature Preserve. Easy access to the canal with calm waters which made it easy to kayak and Paddle board (while we were kayaking we encountered a pretty big gator) also the pools and equipment rentals kept everyone active. One day we had awesome time fishing with captain Dave from Andrews Fishing. The dolphins were hanging out around the boat. Came close and got great pics.(https://www.flickr.com/photos/kedzior/albums/72157678867271036)Only We couldn't recommend this house and location more highly and we hope to be able to return in the future."
