  • Restful and Relaxing

"I returned home yesterday from a week-long vacation staying in this lovely condo at Blind Pass. This was our first trip to Sanibel, and the entire experience was wonderful. I first contacted the owners in October about renting during Xmas week, and they were very responsive. Once we settled on the price and other details, I was put in touch with the Blind Pass Condo office staff to handle the deposit. Note that the balance of the rental fee had to be remitted via check rather than credit card. We arrived on Christmas day in the early evening. Our keys and instructions were waiting for us as advised. I checked in with the office couple of days later, and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The unit was very clean and well stocked. I've stayed in many beach condos over the years, and I've never seen one that provided as much. It was nice not to have to bring beach gear as chairs, towels, toys, shell colleting items, etc. as all were provided. We got a comfortable, down to earth feel from the unit and complex. While not a newer place, it was well maintained with beautiful vegetation, flora, and fauna. There were two tennis courts, grills, pool, canoes and kayaks, and a shell cleaning area. All was in great shape and working order. We wanted for nothing. The weather could not have been better, and we enjoyed getting up early to watch the sunrise and discover the shells that had been left overnight by the tide. We were there during peak season, but it did not seem crowded to us. The only time that we noticed was when we went out to eat. There was a wait almost every place that we went. Some were longer than others, but we did not mind. We ate at Grandma Dot's, The Green Flash, The Lazy Flamingo, and Cheeburger, Cheeburger. All were worth the wait. We took a sunset cruise from Captiva and also toured the Darling Nature Preserve. These excursions were not crowed. Our party contained two 50+ adult couples, and the unit's roommate floor plan ensured that everyone had their own space. There was plenty of room. The screen porch was nice, and we liked eating breakfast at the table or reading in the afternoon. It was very relaxing and quiet. I would definitely recommended this unit and Blind Pass Condos. If you are looking for a place that is a bit removed from the hub-bub of Sanibel-Captiva, but still close enough to join in (if you desire), this is it. Thank you for a super vacation."

  • Wonderful getaway!

"This was our first time visiting Sanibel, and we fell in love with the island. We stayed at this unit, B101. Everything was great. Cinzia was great to work with when booking the unit. It is located close to the pool (but not too close), has a great screened-in porch, very nice furniture, and a very-stocked kitchen. We couldn't ask for anything else. The covered parking was a welcomed addition in the June heat, and we loved having a washer and dryer. The beach was great, and we found a ton of shells. I would stay here again in a minute. Thanks for opening your home up to us, Cinzia and Paul."

  • Fantastic property on a beautiful island

"There were six of us on a vacation with extended family and this house worked perfectly for us. We had the king bed we needed and one of the bedrooms had two twins which was great also. The decor was so lovely and peaceful, and of the highest quality. We were so close to the beach though, we could easily walk. I liked being on this end of the island, too. It was quieter than being super close to the pubs and the island beaches are absolutely stunning! They offer the same ocean colors and white powder sand as a Caribbean island...complete with endless shells and shark teeth to hunt for on the sandy shores! Our kids loved the beach treasures!!!. We cooked most nights, but also biked to restaurants (The Island Cow,Bubble room). Having the bar area plus the dining room table for family meals gave us a lot of space. With bikes rented from Finnimore Cycle Shop for the week it was easy to ride up to Captiva and ride around Ding Darling Nature Preserve. Easy access to the canal with calm waters which made it easy to kayak and Paddle board (while we were kayaking we encountered a pretty big gator) also the pools and equipment rentals kept everyone active. One day we had awesome time fishing with captain Dave from Andrews Fishing. The dolphins were hanging out around the boat. Came close and got great pics.(https://www.flickr.com/photos/kedzior/albums/72157678867271036)Only We couldn't recommend this house and location more highly and we hope to be able to return in the future."
