Located on beautiful Shacks Beach this newly renovated house has 8+Bedroom(four 2 bedroom units). Whether relaxing by the salt water pool, walking the white sandy beach or admiring the picturesque sunsets this location has it all. The adventurous can walk to world famous surf, kitesurfing, dive spots or a horseback ride on the beach. For dining we are steps from Eclipse Restaurant (serving breakfast, lunch and dinner), or have our private chef cook local seafood and caribbean cuisine in your villa. Please check out our reviews.

Absolutely beautiful location! The whole experience from booking, to an easy check in, having everything we needed during our stay, and an easy checkout was positively the best. Mark was wonderful at accommodating our requests and making sure we had all the information we needed before hand. Perfectly located right on shacks beach, we could surf and snorkel and not even have to leave. Only 5 minutes from Jobos beach if you’re wanting to surf. Definitely would hit up Verde Azul surf shop for any of your surfboard rentals. Very clean, plenty of appliances and kitchen space to cook, there is even a grill! The layout makes it perfect for large groups to be together when they want to and have their own space if they need it. We couldn’t say enough good things about our stay here. Highly recommended!

Christmas Vacation stay

We had a wonderful stay at this oceanfront rental in Puerto Rico! The pool and patio area were the highlights – absolutely amazing, and we spent most of our time there. The units were well-maintained and the air-conditioning worked good. The kids loved playing in the sand and walking along the beach. There was a neat foot wash and outdoor shower outside of the house and was so convenient for keeping them clean.While everything was great overall, the bed linens and pillows could use an update. We also enjoyed a charming little restaurant just a five minute walk away. This is a fantastic spot for a family getaway and seemed more like a local area than a tourist place, which we loved!

This was an amazing stay! The pictures didn’t do justice in a great way. We had a lot of kids and it was super family friendly. Mark and Scott were so helpful the whole week we stayed. We will definitely be back.

Perfect Paradise

Everything about this VRBO is exactly as described, images on the site are extremely accurate. The set up of the property is so wonderful and afforded our group plenty of bedrooms and beds, ample living spaces and kitchens and bathrooms. The balconies overlooking the rugged waters were full of surfers, lots of sea life, we had turtles visible in the water. The sounds of the ocean made the sleep each night so wonderful. The pool was a bit too cold to use during this time of year as it had done morning sun but was in the shade most of the day. However, the ocean water was a bit warmer and good to get in the surf. It is very rocky in the beach area so water shoes are a good idea. Overall a wonderful stay and very private. The downer and the local contacts were so helpful and extremely responsive. It was a perfect paradise stay! We will definitely come back. We traveled the entire island and this area was our favorite by far. Location to activities, restaurants etc was perfect. It was a couple hour drive to the San Juan airport but the regional airport in Aguadilla was very convenient. I highly recommend this property for a very private, relaxing stay and it was absolutely beautiful both daytime and evenings with the moon over the ocean, the views were spectacular.

Spring break trip to Puerto Rick

We just loved this place. Right on the water, fantastic hosts and access to a private chef that made a very memorable meal. Everything was perfect!

Needs updating

Property could use some updating and good overall cleaning. Need hot water in kitchen to clean dishes or dishwasher to disinfect dishes. New skillets much needed, current is warped and non-stick surface is worn off Views were beautiful. Accommodated our group well.

Will definitely stay here again!

There were 12 of us who stayed at this house and it was perfect! The location and views were amazing. The house is so close to the water, it looked like you were on a cruise ship when you were looking out the windows. It was perfect for a large group. The host, Mark was fantastic and very responsive with all of my questions. The house was right next to Villa Montana Resort so we enjoyed walking over for breakfast, lunch and dinner since the restaurant is amazing. I really don't have anything bad to say about our stay. The listing is very accurate in what you're getting. It is 4 separate villas (within the same house) that share a common outside area, but that didn't bother us at all since it was mostly all couples on this trip so there were 2 couples per villa. It's exactly what we were looking for and more! We will be back!

Fantastic experience for an extended family getaway!

We (14 members of my extended family) just returned from 7 nights at Villa Shacks and all we can say is WOW! I think it exceeded all of our expectations. The location is perfect, in a quiet neighborhood right on the beach but close to a number of restaurants and shops. We rented snorkeling equipment and spent a lot of time just snorkeling right in front of the property. It was also really cool to watch all the wind and kite surfers! The layout was also perfect for us -- we had just enough common space to hang out together when we wanted, and also each had our private apartments when needed. Mark and Scott were very helpful and responsive when anything came up. If I had to offer any criticism (and really, they're very minor), it's that some of the beds were too firm for some of our group members and that laundry service wasn't available all of the time that we were there. We definitely plan to return and had an amazing experience at Villa Shacks!

11 member family Christmas gathering

Villa Shacks is the best! Waking up every morning to the surf and warm breeze, watching as the last rays of light through the clouds receded, surfing, swimming, and walking the beach. Our week was perfect. We rented the whole house so every one had their private space when they wanted it, but most of the time we hung out together on the big pool patio. plenty of towels, the kitchens were well equipped, and there are 4 off street parking spaces. Mark lives next door so what small issues we had he dealt with them right away. If you are coming to Puerto Rico this is the place to stay!

Great stay!

We had a wonderful time at Villa Shacks. You can not beat the location! The hosts were great and brought us towels when we needed more. Definitely recommend this for families traveling together as everyone has their own space but you have a shared outdoor space. Would be nice to have a larger table outside to all eat together.

We had a great time! Just what we needed...

Our Hosts, Mark & Steve, were amazing. We had a family of 15 using all 4 apartments and we had a great time! The pool was perfect for all, we couldn't get the kids out of the pool. The BBQ was great for steaks and watching the sunset. We did snorkeling every day and walked the beach at sunrise and sunset! We can't wait to come back!

Beachfront property!

We just came back from Villa Shacks and had an awesome experience. Highly recommend it. Beachfront property with pool and lots of beaches nearby to do fun things with kids like surfing, snorkeling, hiking and exploring. Mark and Scott were very helpful with anything we needed. An overall great experience!!

Everything about our stay at Villa Shacks was absolutely perfect, starting with Mark's kind answers to my endless questions while I was organizing our trip, to our very warm welcome when we arrived. The decor at Villa Shacks is a lovely ecletic combination of antique, mid century and modern furniture, all with a purpose. The carefully designed villas all feature well equipped kitchens, and make it a very welcoming home away from home. The beds are amazingly comfortable with top-of-the-line linens. I loved that I had the option of a down comforter, which is what I sleep with at home year-round. After a day at the beach, it was so refreshing to lounge on the deck or to take a dip in the salt water pool. From the villa, we could watch a daily show of paddle boarders, surfers, kite boarders etc. as well as stunning sunsets every evening. The pool area offers both sun and shade and a variety of comfortable pillowed lounge chairs. The handsome armoire on the deck was filled with many choices of sunscreen, books and magazines, and some beach toys for the kids. And, I can't forget Rosita, our gracious hostess whose kindness and smile made our stay at Villa Shacks extraordinary! I can't wait to return!

Oceanfront Paradise

Stayed here on family vacation with my husband and our two teen aged sons. The host, Mark was fabulous and went way above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and informed. The place is airconditioned (the entire villa) which seemed a rarity among similar type properties we stayed in PR. The villa is spotless and the daily maid service was a treat. The beach is BEAUTIFUL and there is some nice snorkeling right off the beach. The current can be strong so just be careful. It is a perfect spot for paddle boarding and all his restaurant recommendations are spot on except we didnt enjoy the Mexican restaurant (maybe a fluke though?). We had the pleasure of having a personal chef, Chris, come and cook for us one night and that was truly one of the highlights of our trip! It is a fabulous area and you could not ask for a better host. We highly recommend this palce and look forward to the opportunity to come again!!!!

Second visit

We returned to Villa Shacks as we had such a good time in February 2013. Only 25 mins from Aqadilla airport and easy links by road to explore the rst of the island. The apartments are very comfortable, clean and tidy with all amenities to make your stay very easy. The location is absolutely great just a few steps from the beach, for those who like surfing, kiting, snorkelling or scuba diving, it's all there. Plenty of bars and restaurants within easy reach or shops if you prefer to self cater. The owner is on site and did everything to ensure our stay was as relaxing as possible. The pool was clean and tidy for those who prefer that rather than the beach, not ot deep so child friendly.
