YES FENCED • 5 guests max. 1 bdrm/1 loft • 1 queen • 1 dble mattress in loft • additional detached bedroom with queen & camp toilet - only for you, not others. This room can be added for an additional fee. If needed please inquire with Melissa • 1 bth tub/shower • 1/2 acre yard fully fenced & gated porch. Industrial rustic 1950’s reno is filled with Melissa’s art, her hand crafted barn doors and extra artistic touches • 3 decks and 1 deck is eight feet high in the trees with hammock swings and a hammock underneath.

Emma and I are long time locals, are trained in interior design and high end hospitality, we have been hosting wonderful guests like you for years.

Each home has a different charm and experience. If one is booked for the dates you are interested in then try checking another.

ALL OF OUR HOMES:
• Our homes have been fully designed and renovated or partially renovated
• All are very loved and not a typical vacation rental (read the reviews!).
• Are always professionally deep cleaned after every stay
• Are all dog and child friendly (only the Palm Desert home is adults only, no pets)
• Have fast internet
• Have luxury lines and comfortable beds
• Have AC and Heat (with extra portable fans and portable heaters).

DOG INFORMATION (if you are bringing any):
We don’t have a weight limit but trust that your dogs are well behaved and will be wonderful guests in our beautiful homes :-) $25 per dog flat fee per stay.

WHAT WE PROVIDE:
• Fenced yard or enclosed deck (some properties) • 16 foot tether in the yards (if not fenced) • dog bowls • dog treats • dog waste bags • pet wipes (to wipe down pups after outside walks/play - DO NOT FLUSH) .
• PET FEES: $25 flat fee per dog per stay. That goes to our cleaning crew for the extra time cleaning. Instructions to pay are on the check out sheet at the house.

This was a fabulous home in the mountains; great location with a HUGE securely fenced yard. It was well-kept, comfy, and perfect for a couple. The upstairs loft would be great for kids especially I imagine.

My girlfriend and our three dogs had a great time staying here. The cabin had everything we needed, was only a few minutes from town, and the dogs loved running around in the large fenced backyard. The host was great, very prompt and timely communications. Extra bedroom charge was 100, which, combined with pet fee, was a little on high end. The cabin was very cute, cozy and clean. I wish there was a proper dining table though for families to eat and play games- the one in the kitchen is a plank of wood that goes over the bar cart, and we were afraid to knock it over constantly. Good stay overall!

We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay at this super cute property. The 2 dogs and our baby LOVED climbing and exploring in the back yard. And we all enjoyed the fenced in porch too! We had a wonderful stay at the little house. My husband and I went for our 12th anniversary with our kid. They have everything you need to cook, a emergency mini bar, treasure trove of random things in the junk drawer and lots of spices in the cupboard. We had have fun playing the board games and watching movies. Very comfy beds , linen is so soft and the skylight in the bedroom is a great touch. Our daughter loved her lil room in the loft. Massive backyard and really fun to grill. We are definitely coming back !

Doggy vacation

We absolutely love your property!!! This was our 3 or 4th time staying at your lovely cozy home. Our dogs love the yard and I love the convenience of having my cup of coffee while the dogs do there morning thing. There is everything you need and far enough away from the city but only minutes drive. This is our go to everytime we visit!! See you in October. Thanks for everything!!!

I have been living in Idyllwild, working as an artist and taught art at the local boarding high school, Idyllwild Arts Academy, for 21 years. I started my renovation projects with my own 1955 total redesign and then wanted to share it with all of you. I love remodeling, designing and hospitality so much I decided to help others create their dream vacation rentals. I now have redesigned and manage three unique properties. I am stopping at three so I can guarantee each guest gets the personal 5 star treatment that you all deserve. My homes are just that... homes, your home away from home experience. I have lived in Idyllwild since 2001 and it is a completely magical place that gives everyone that much needed relaxing experience. The people, the restaurants, the sights, the activities are all incredible. I was born and raised in San Diego and would come here to get away. After several amazing experiences I decided to move up here full time and what a great decision it was!

What makes this property unique

This charming, totally unique, bright and sunny 1955 cabin is fully refurbished and designed by me, Melissa, the owner and long time Idyllwild resident/artist/teacher. It is very upscale, clean and well stocked. This cozy little 550 square foot “Little House” is filled with my art and has a post modern-industrial-chic feel. The nearly 1/2 acre backyard is completely fenced and private in a very quiet neighborhood. The space works well for one to two people, couples or a small family (including the family dog!). It is also the perfect place for entertaining on the two decks (as long as the noise level stays respectful to the neighbors). Important to note: You will feel cozy and warm in the winter and cool in the summer due to our brand new state of the art HVAC unit. In addition, the warmth from the wood burning stove and ceiling fans will help too.
