About this property

Family Glamping under the Stars - Mirumiru Bubbletent

We're Back for Easter 2024 - Our Autumn/Winter 2024 Season will run from Easter - July 2024! Get in touch today.

Mirumiru Bubbletent™ is an off-grid glamping resort located on a small family-owned farm in Tenterfield, New England – located 30 minutes from the Queensland border in Northern NSW. Each Bubbletent is designed to deliver a stylish yet environmentally conscious stay under the stars. Every evening you have a 180-degree view of the sky – all from the comfort of your own bed.

In an Australian glamping first, young guests (and the young at heart!) can sleep in a suspended Tiny Bubble Tent in the surrounding gum trees in our Captain Thunderbolt campsite.

Our Bubbletents are located on a spacious wooden deck with an outdoor vintage bath and shower, on-demand hot water, kitchenette stocked with basic supplies including wood and firelighters, gas burner, kettle and camping toaster. Inside each tent is a portable fridge, indoor and outdoor shoes, bathrobes and complimentary re-usable eye masks (parent use only for robes/eye masks).

Being off-grid and sustainable we have remained true to our principles and our indoor bathroom hosts a composting toilet (don’t worry it looks like a normal toilet) and hand washing station with limited off-grid water supplies and hand sanitiser. Note there is no heating in the Tiny Bubble Tent.

We also provide indoor and outdoor seating, games and additional extras like hot water bottles, throws and Oodies to keep you warm (laundry charges apply).

Next to the deck area is an outdoor firepit with grill plate and outdoor bench seating. It’s the perfect romantic high-country location to sit with a sundowner in hand.
Guests can explore their dedicated campsite and bush tucker gardens plus our small granite mountain, native gums and re-vegetated dam and billabong areas.

Mirumiru Bubbletent is located a short drive from the historic village of Tenterfield, an ideal distance for those who want to shop or dine out. Tenterfield and its mysterious granite boulders once provided cover for bush rangers in days gone by. In homage to this history, Mirumiru Bubbletents are named after the colourful characters that roamed the Great Dividing Range and beyond.

Captain Thunderbolt is our designer-appointed, luxe Bubbletent. Bubbletent guests will enjoy a queen-sized bed, premium natural linens, internal composting eco-toilet, and complimentary organic toiletries. The Mary Ann Bugg Tiny Bubbletent is part of this campsite and is suspended in the gum trees next to the deck. It comes with GlamSwag feather mattresses and bedheads, sleeping bags rated to -5C and has an internal privacy cover and insect screen for your comfort. It's rated to 200kgs so children and adults can share the Tiny Bubble Tent in a tree experience! Our Tiny Bubble Tent comes with its own designer GlamSwag bedding for our younger guests.

Captain Thunderbolt offers its own outdoor vintage bath where you can soak away the worries of the outside world. Wherever you rest your weary head you can watch the stars rise up through the valley and fill the New England sky.

Simply magical
This was a truly unique experience! Cathryn was a wonderful host and the facilities were amazing. She really has thought of everything. Echidna spotting, bubble baths under the stars, toasting marshmallows by the fire-pit and waking to birdsong. We didn’t want to leave this beautiful place!
