The property was beautiful and the house was well-suited for my family. Everything was clean and the furnishings were pretty decent for a rental house. Only an hour and a bit more away from points of interest such as Huntsville and Decatur, I’d highly recommend The Bunkhouse.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The views at this property are breath taking! You can’t beat the feeling of seclusion. It’s a must if you’re looking for a place to unwind and enjoy the outdoors.

Great place for a larger family

Our family of 7 adults had plenty of room in The Bunkhouse and we enjoyed the porch swing and rocking chairs. We were short a few items, like hand soap, but there was a convenience store close by and Publix wasn’t far away for food stuff. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Guntersville weekend

We were visiting guntersville for my son’s wedding reception. Kudzu cove is a very charming community with lakes to fish in and frisby golf. They also have a playset for smaller children. The bunkhouse was nice and had plenty of sleeping space. We had an issue with the main level AC on arrival and Jessica was very responsive and accommodating. We had a very pleasant experience and would definitely return.

Comfortable, peaceful, suitable for the visit. Disappointed lake was not in view from porch. Access to city, stores and restaurants was a plus.

Very nice area

We love the location. Very quaint and quiet. Kids loved the fishing ponds, although the lower pond wasn’t able to be used due to vegetation. Also, we never found the lake access but will try to next time. Overall great experience.

Birthday celebration Weekend

We had a wonderful time over the weekend. There were 9 of us and there was plenty of room. You can’t see the lake from the cabin but it’s not far away at all to drive to. The disc course is fantastic, the downtown area in Guntersville had great shops, and there was a great selection of restaurants within 10 minutes. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, fun location!

The property where the bunkhouse lies provided for a lot of memories to be made! We enjoyed hiking, firefly watching, bird watching, and sitting on the porch. The house itself was okay—very simple, and not extremely clean, but fine. Quite a few things weren’t at the house that were listed on the listing—so don’t count on them. We also had to ask for paper towels, toilet paper, dish cloths, as they were almost gone.

Team connection and getaway

Location was perfect. Loved the quiet and the lake. Convenient to City Harbor. No WiFi was a problem we had to solve because we were accessing training via zoom and YouTube (we were aware before the stay—thank you Jessica for your help!). Not setup for women who wanted to use the kitchen. No dishrag or dish soap, no potholders, cooking utensils sparse. No hand soap or shower soap in the bathrooms.

Hi Marsha, thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We're so glad you enjoyed the property and all the amenities at Kudzu Cove, but we're sorry other aspects fell short of expectations. After sending your feedback to the homeowner, they'd like to share the following:- The rural location of this property is part of its charm, so Wi-Fi is not available in several of the cabins, as mentioned in the listing. We're working to get a system in this remote area that supports Wi-Fi, but we're glad the hotspot worked for your group meeting. - All of our cabins have soap, cooking utensils, towels, and potholders, but we'll ensure these items remain stocked in a caddy under the kitchen sink.We're glad the Bunkhouse cabin location worked well for your meeting and we hope to host you again!

Not much storage

We had a wonderful time, but the cabin lacked supplies.and storage. Kitchen had no dish clothes or dish washing liquid. No closet or hooks to hang coats. Only one small closet in the entire house. No mattress pad on one of the queen beds. The grounds around the cabin was very pretty. Fun and challenging disc golf course. Nice for walks. A playground set for kids.

Hi Janet, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: - Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you had a wonderful time and found the grounds around the cabin to be very pretty. There are many areas for children to enjoy and explore on the grounds. Our disc golf course is very challenging and ranked as the number 1 course in the state, and it is within the top 100 Courses in the World on U Disc in 2023!- We provide a kitchen drawer by the refrigerator with several dish-dryingcloths and the cleaning supplies are located under the sink. Upon request, we were able to deliver additional soaps to the cabin as requested. - We have inspected the cabin and have found all beds have mattress covers. We inspect and refresh these after each guest's stay. If one mattress cover was missing it was an unfortunate oversight, and we will continue to ensure we inspect all of our bedding.- The cabins are intended for short-term rentals so there are small clothcabinets in each of the main bedrooms that each have a cloth hanging bar. As you noted the primary bedroom downstairs does have a normal clothes closet and full hanging bar. We also have some hanging hooks behind some of the bedroom doors, and there are drawers in the one bunk bedroom. We will seek to add more hanging hooks for guest use. Thank you for your insight, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!
