This spacious, beachfront, three-bedroom condominium is conveniently located just around the corner and down a short hallway from the elevators and features a spacious kitchen with stainless appliances and a dining area. Tastefully decorated, this peaceful retreat is the perfect spot to enjoy your SANDESTIN® Golf and Beach Resortbeach vacation. Breathe in the fresh breezes coming in off the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico from your spacious, 350 square foot private balcony overlooking one of the nicest beaches among Destin and South Walton's renowned sugar white sand beaches. Then head down the elevator to a relaxing day by the resort style pool complete with separate kiddie pool, seasonal snack bar and hot tub or to your choice of one of many adventures on the resort or off.

The location was so perfectly close to the beach. The pool was heated and not too crowded. There was a nice outside area to enjoy coffee in the morning. Plenty of space for everyone.

Fabulous

Six days was not enough time to explore and soak up the luxury of this location. Everything was wonderful. We didn't know what to expect, but this condo exceeded all expectations. We felt pampered. The gulf view from balcony is the best. We found Destin to be perfect spot! So much to do and just not enough time to explore it all. The only thing I didn't care fir was the pool. It just not big enough for teens, but the beach was wonderful.

The view from this room was incredible! You can watch the sunset each and every night from the balcany. The space of the balcany is also incredible! This was the best part.The pool was very nice and it felt like you were at a resort. There was a poolside hut where you can get drinks and food. The beach was lovely. If you want to reserve chairs and an umbrella, the price lowers the more days you add. We were in the back row the first day, but moved up as the week went on. The earlier you reserve, the higher your priority of location becomes. We ended up in the front row, but anyone can bring their own chairs and place them in front up along the water. Nothing beats the beach and water here!! I will say DO NOT cross over the "white sign" or security from South Winds next door will let you know you are trespassing unkindly. Their HOA is always watching and are posessive of their sand even though hardly anyone is there.The kitchen is updated, which was nice, and the larger bathroom space was appreciated. Having said this, the condo could use some updates, a fresh coat of paint, new bedding and updated cabinets. The curtains in one of the bedrooms had something red splattered on them in the twin bedroom. The beds were not comfortable in this room either. Also, the washer/dryer closet is on the other side of the wall along with HVAC. The power went out one night & the smoke detector beeped until the power came on.Great location and close to great places to visit.

So disappointed- This is a review I wish I had seen-

For the location and price of this condo, I was extremely disappointed. (I have many photos of every detail listed below and more). From the lack of linens (6 washcloths for a condo that slept 8), stained linens; unfinished surfaces; broken and rusty patio furniture; literally dirty, torn, springs exposed mattresses; toilets that were not connected to the floor; toilets that were broken and taped together; mold on the caulk in the bathroom; lights that did not work; headboards not attached to the bed (although one was nailed to the wall); "stuff" in the closets; cracked, missing, or broken plugs and switches; a literal square hole in one of the closets to the laundry room; ceiling fans that "drooped" but so covered in grime that we did not turn them on; smoke detectors covered in dust and grime; bed skirt that had a safety pin to "fix" it; the furnishings and decor have obviously not been updated since at the 1990's... For the price, please do not consider this condo. If this is a property management company's responsibility, I suggest the owners fire them immediately. I only wish someone had written this information for me before I spent, embarrassingly, over $5,000 for this unit for 8 nights. We have stayed in Sandestin yearly for many years, this condo is NOT up to standard of the expected rentals there. If you stay here, please do not judge the entire resort based on this unit.

Miramar Softball Trip

My family & I had an absolute over-the-top wonderful experience. The Westwind property was very nice, clean, and accommodating. The high level of security was especially comforting considering I was traveling with two small children. I would most certainly stay here again and would recommend to my friends & family.

Wonderful beach

First time for a true “beach” vacation for me. The beach is wonderful, the pool was good, and there’s a lot of good food that’s close by. I had to use the wifi for work, and noticed no issues on using VPN for work calls. Kitchen supplies are a little light, but that’s listed in the description, and with such great food options, was not an issue for us.

We loved our view & condo was spacious. Outdoor furniture is falling apart/worn. Very few forks all of which were salad forks. Providing a beach umbrella & cooler would be a nice upgrade especially for travelers flying in. The grounds were excellent!

PERFECT!!!

Our family of 5 found this vacation property to be PERFECT for our beach vacation. The clean unit provided great space and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. We had our 1 year old grandson and daughter & son-in-law with us. It was our grandson's first time at the beach and it was such a joy to share that experience. The unit was very accommodating for our family and the views were amazing. I might add that the location was convenient to EVERYTHING. For those new to the area we highly recommend Marlin Grill and Slick Lips for seafood, Grimaldi's for awesome pizza and Seagars for fine dining (best filet mignon ever). We picked up breakfast sandwiches and donuts from the Donut Hole a few times, too, and enjoyed having breakfast on the huge balcony! Marcella and Justin (Skis and Seas) were very pleasant to work with and made the reservation process a breeze. We will definitely be back!

If all you want is a condo on the beach...

Honestly this condo is kind of a dud. If all you want is a clean condo on the beach, then this fits the bill. However, this condo is in serious need of TLC. We always rent in Westwinds and most of the condos have been updated with granite counters, new paint, etc. This condo has clearly not been touched since the building was built. In addition, the garbage disposal was broken (management offered to fix but because of Covid we would have had to vacate condo for an unclear amount of time so we declined), dryer did not work, and we had the water shut off 3 times during our stay due to what I believe is a malfunctioning Halo Leak Detection system (stayed in other condos with this and have never had a problem, definitely not 3x in one stay). The beds are uncomfortable, no linens were provided for the pull out couch, and the supplied dishes and silverware were inadequate for the number of guests (to be fair there were 5 of us - but this condo is supposed to sleep up to 8 people, yet there were only 6 forks in the entire unit). Ample bath towels were provided, but only 3 hand towels and 3 washcloths total - for up to 8 guests. We still enjoyed staying at the beach and the view from the 16th floor and the great sun deck were amazing but I wish the condo owner and/or manager would do some very basic upgrades. A more complete set of kitchen ware, a FULL sized kitchen trash can (not desk size, which is what was provided), full set of towels and linens for all guests would go a long way towards helping guests overlook the general shabbiness of the condo. The things that aren’t working (dryer, disposal) need to be fixed ASAP. So again, if all you want is a clean condo on the beach, this will fit the bill, but if you are used to the upgraded condos in Westwinds, then you won’t be happy here. I would not stay in this particular unit again.

We vacation every year in different places and I have to say, this condo is our favorite. The view was absolutely amazing! Very clean and a ton of space for all eight of us! Unit needs upgrades

The size of the bedrooms and bathroom were fine. The furniture on the kids room needs to be upgraded. ALL of the lighting needs to be upgraded. The apartment is VERY dark. The TVs did not work on their own. The WATER kept shutting off because there are sensors in the bathroom - if they get wet ( which they would in a bathroom) the water shuts off and then you have to call to get the water back on. This happened at least 5 times and During the most inconvenient times. The beach chairs were rusted and old and some of it didn’t work. You need to reinvest in the unit!

Nice condo directly on the beach

We enjoyed our stay in Westwinds, the beach and weather were perfect and the condo was nice. Building had a nice pool, hot tub and fitness room. Landscaping and general appearance was clean and well maintained. Condo was good, very clean and spacious with a nice sunset view. Balcony was very large and we enjoyed morning coffee looking out at the water. Condo was a little dated but we felt that it was accurately represented and it we felt that it was a great deal for the location. Beds were comfortable and we had a great family beach vacation. Marcella was helpful and we felt comfortable in this condo and would recommend it to others.

Older Unit, Not As Nice As Others

We had friends in multiple condos in the Westwinds building for Spring Break this year, and this unit was at the bottom of the list compared to the others. It is on the 16th floor and has an enormous balcony that was wonderful...probably triple the size of the other units, and that was the best thing about this condo. The rest of it would not make me want to come back. It has not been updated, the furniture is worn, the beds are sagging, the twin bed bedroom didn't have ANY lights in it...no light on a switch and no lamps! It was a little crazy. There is carpet throughout the entire unit which is strange for a beach condo when there is so much sand. We vacuumed a lot (the vacuum actually worked very well, thankfully). We had trouble toward the end of the week with the toilets not flushing properly and when we went to wash some bath towels the washer leaked and the dryer didn't work properly. I did contact the property manager after we checked out and they assured us they would look into those issues for the next renters. The property managers, Skis and Seas, were very responsive and easy to work with, I have no complaints there. The unit was clean, I have no complaints there. I would not stay here again simply because I saw a number of other units in the same building that were decorated much nicer and had newer furniture in them. When we booked, this was one of the last two three-bedroom units available for our week, and I'm certain it's because it shows its age.
