I was very impressed with our 9-day stay. Everything was in great shape, making our stay super enjoyable. The hosts were very hospitable and helpful. I highly recommend this location, with its amazingly quiet and picturesque beach.

This location was perfect. Beautiful, quiet beach, and a lot of things to see within a two hours drive. I think we would have been just as happy if we stayed the entire time in the patio and ocean here and never left. Denese was so quick to respond to everything, helping us with an early check in since our flight got in so early. Hernán was an amazing host, very friendly and helpful as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful location! Playa Ocotal is fantastic and we loved a direct boat pickup on the beach for a spectacular motorboat day cruise of the Gulf of Papagayo. We saw Golden Manta Rays, Devil Rays, Dolphin, and snorkeled with Sea Turtles.Dinner next door at Father Rooster’s is excellent.The dipping pool is very nice.

Great experience. Don't expect "high end" accommodations, but we were very comfortable. The location was super convenient and our Hosts were helpful and welcoming. Beach is excellent, as is the yard and nearby restaurant. The "neighborhood" is fairly small and isolated, but that was a plus for us. Coco is fairly busy and only a 5-min Uber, and we didn't have any problem getting a ride fairly quickly when needed.

Comfortable stay, and amazing views!

We loved staying here - the beach is just steps away and you fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves. Denese is an incredible host - she made us feel right at home after we had experienced long day of travel delays - thank you Denese!

You can see the ocean and a little beach. We didn’t do any cooking. The owner was showing a tradesman around the yard during our stay but for the most part, the yard is very private.

Denese and Hernan were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed their private little hideaway. It was a perfect place to relax, the beach was right there and the dipping pool was wonderful! The view is beautiful and there is a wonderful restaurant on the beach within walking distance. The hosts recommended another restaurant in Coco that was amazing and just as Hernan said it had wonderful Sangria! Thanks so much Denese and Hernan! You definitely have a little gem there!

A paradise for beach lovers!

This is a great place! Neat, clean, organized and a few steps away of the ocean! The beach is calmed and great for swimming and snorkeling! Denese is awesome and I’m looking forward to going back soon!

great place right on the beach, dipping pool was great. we had everything to prepare meals and grilled twice while staying. the hosts were a wealth of knowledge on the area, but we never felt intruded upon. The bay was beautiful and beach was very nice, not too much foot traffic.

A Peaceful Oceanfront Paradise!

We had a fantastic stay at Denese and Hernan's beautiful hideaway in Playa Ocotal. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and at home. The property is gorgeous - peaceful, clean, and just steps away from the ocean. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature's beauty! Great location

It's an older property & the finishes are a bit dated, but clean & a fabulous location. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. The pool, patio & landscaping in the back are wonderful. Lots of flowers & birds, great spot to enjoy breakfast. At low tide, the tide pools down at the beach are amazing. Good, convenient meals at Father Rooster's next door. Denese met us out on the street when we drove up.

A Piece of Paradise

We needed a rest and relaxation vacation and this is exactly what we got. Many opportunities to be as busy as you like or just chill.Our hosts, Hernan and Denese are friendly, gracious hosts and looked after us well. We couldn't of asked for a better first experience in Costa Rica.We are very, very, very jealous that we don't live there

This pretty little apartment with a lovely garden and dipping pool has a great beachfront location. We loved Playa Ocotal. It’s a quiet, smaller beach with black sand and blue water. I went snorkeling with our host one morning and my husband and I swam every day. The unit has everything you need and was clean, comfortable and tidy. The hosts are there if you need them but maintain your privacy. We enjoyed our chats with the hosts and the opportunity to learn more about Costa Rica through them. Sitting on the patio in the morning we would enjoy all the birds and even some howler monkeys romping in nearby trees! Such a pretty, quiet location.
