Great location to many beaches, best being Siesta Key! Sam and Ella were very accommodating. Nice to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Neighborhood was very nice!

Perfect House in Great Location

The property has everything a couple or family needs to enjoy a vacation in the Sarasota area. It is spacious, well equipped, and is well located in a nice neighborhood near major roads. Siesta beach is only a few miles away, and is one of the best beaches to be found. The owners were helpful getting us checked in and were available during our stay when we had questions. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Home away from home

Very clean, comfortable, and well provisioned property. Sadly, our visit was to attend memorial services for an uncle, so we did not take advantage of the many activities convenient to the property's location. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

older home in good area

I rented this home for employees of our company to stay in while working in the area for a while. One of my employees brought a dog which was specifically against the rules of the home. The owners worked with us until we could find a place for the dog to go. That was beyond reasonable in my opinion. I also swapped a person staying in the home without making owner aware. I didn't know or even realize that would be an issue. But it was. Understandably. The reason I had to swap a person was due to black mold growing on the walls in multiple spots of one of the rooms. My original employee is severely allergic to mold. Once I made owners aware they immediately went to home to clean up the issue. BUT, when I called to tell them of the mold I was told that this is Florida and mold is to be expected. Ummm. Absolutely not. I have rented 20+ homes in Florida(several in this area), and mold has never been an issue in any rental that I have had. We were given a list of specific rules to follow for their home. One was that the air conditioner not be set below 72 degrees (Owner also stated this was a FL law???) I felt this was unreasonable because it was sunny & 85+ degrees out on most days and this is an older home. Needless to say, we did turn the AC below 72. Most rentals in the area have code locks on the front doors. This one does not. Check in was a little stressful just because we didn't know an exact arrival time and owner had to be present to give us a key to the home. I prefer no contact with an owner other than email. This is one of the few times I've ever been forced to have face to face contact with an owner. The house could use some updating as far as linens and furniture go. We only rented due to the limited availability of other homes in the area.

Lori requested to rent our house not for "employees of her company", but for "her husband". Before she booked, we sent a letter, wrote we will meet Tenants at the house, give them keys and instructions, as we always do with new guests, because we supposed to know who is living in our house. And we reminded: NO PETS, NO SMOKING. Instead of two guys next day we meet a lady, who checked-in and got keys. Everything was OK for a few days. Then Lori wrote that the Tenant found mold on the wall in one of the rooms. This is not true. There were few small spots of dirt on bathroom wall, which were immediately and very easily removed. One day we came to cut grass around the house and found that garage door was completely opened, and nobody answered our calls. We went inside and saw a dog in dining area and nobody else. We called to Tenant; she said that now different people are living in the house. It was done without our knowledge and checking-in. Dog in the house is serious violation of house rules. About A/C. We don't understand what Lori is talking about. For what Tenants set thermostat on 68F and opened windows, when outside was 85+ degree? About Lori's opinion (code lock, updating...). We are the owners of the house for vacation rental with our own rules and traditions for several years. So many of our guests were thankful for stay in this clean, comfortable and good maintain house. We don't want to do any changes, because of Lori, who has never been here, sorry.

A clean, basic vacation home in a good location

The home met our needs. Sam and Ella checked us in and out and were kind enough to extend our last day from 11am to 3pm. We bought new pillows and left them there as we are pillow snobs. Enjoy them!
