Thank you for your interest in Sea View! If your group is looking for a low-key vacation, Sea View at Casa Wurster is the place for you! We want your vacation to Puerto Rico to be AWESOME!!

In our little community, people often keep their windows open at night. If your group contains a few night owls, we encourage you to keep searching for that perfect vacation home, as we have neighbors very close by who can't sleep if we have a rowdy group staying with us. Quiet/Tranquil hours must be followed from 10 pm to 8 am, and at no time is loud music acceptable.

We really are a fun, friendly vacation property with AWESOME AMENITIES and a FANTASTIC Guest Concierge who is available to answer any questions you have, but because we have hosted some guests who completely disregarded our rules, we have to put this little blurb here. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, we invite you to keep reading so that you can see why we are a one-of-a-kind vacation rental!

ABOUT SEA VIEW: Experience an authentic Puerto Rican vacation away from the typical tourist areas! Located on the southeastern tip of Puerto Rico, about 90 minutes from San Juan, our spacious home is one of three lovely custom homes on the beautiful 15-acre Casa Wurster Estate available to guests through VRBO. On the main floor, our 4-bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home features a large master bedroom with private bath, along with 2 other bedrooms and an additional 1 1/2 baths. A fourth efficiency bedroom is located off the covered lower patio. This bedroom has its own private bath, as well as a kitchenette with a microwave and fridge. (Note, low ceilings.) Spacious balconies offer panoramic views of the Caribbean. AIR CONDITIONING ADDED March 2022 to living and dining areas! Each bedroom also has its own individually controlled air conditioning unit and ceiling fan, for comfortable sleeping at night.

As a guest at one of our Casa Wurster vacation homes, your vacation at SEA VIEW will be an experience you will enjoy and remember for years to come. We offer our Sea View guests access to the beach across the street through a sidewalk at the edge of our Beach Bliss property. Beach Bliss is uniquely situated on a beautiful bay protected by a coral reef.

In addition to enjoying the beach and your private pool, as a Sea View guest, you are invited to enjoy our pickleball court, play basketball and corn hole, and hike and explore the 15-acre hillside of our beautiful property where you can enjoy stunning views and even catch a glimpse of some colorful island iguanas. Our panoramic lookout point at the top of our property is a "must see!" If you like to exercise, there's plenty of space to get out and go for a walk or run within within our gated main property, or start up a game of pickle ball with your family or friends.

You will love being able to relax in the privacy of your own home while having the option to enjoy all that the Casa Wurster property offers. In the unlikely event of a power outage, all of our homes are equipped with automatic backup generators. You are in good hands while staying at a Casa Wurster vacation home! We also have an AED on site.

Maximum people 9. We will allow 10 if at least one person is a small child. Due to our neighbors being so close, please plan to check in by 10 pm so that they are not disturbed.

Staying by the coast provides an authentic experience with Puerto Rican culture in a variety of ways! Several roadside restaurants and bars, known as "chinchorros" have sprung up and are very popular with the locals, especially on Sundays when the roads along the coastline become very festive. You will experience Puerto Rican music and a lot of traffic to the east on Sundays. You'll also see and hear dune buggies and motor bikes traveling to the chinchorros on Sundays. If you've just arrived at Casa Wurster on the weekend, please know it is not like that all the time!

If you would rather not cook while on vacation, we have an excellent chef we can refer you to who will come and cook for you in the home. He can do any meal - breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Casa Wurster vacation homes are unique in the fact that each home sits alone, so the houses can be rented individually or by one large group or family that wants to vacation together, yet have their own space and spread out among 2 or 3 houses. FLIGHT TIPS: Friday, Saturday and Sunday flights tend to run higher. Tuesdays are often the best price. We always do one-way tickets, rather than round trip. We find that we have more flexibility that way. We also always book directly with the airline, rather than a third party. In the event that your flight times change, you'll have much better customer support if you booked directly with the airline. You will want to fly to and from San Juan (SJU), unless Jet Blue or Spirit are options for you, then you can look at flying to/from Ponce (PSE).

You can see from our numerous 5-star reviews that the items below are not typically an issue, but we believe in upfront transparency with our guests. PLEASE NOTE:

There is one main road that runs along the coast through this area of the island, and it is a well-traveled road, so you will hear road noise. All of our bedrooms have AC units with fans, and we have always provided white noise machines for those who are light sleepers. Also, the beach tends to be busier on holidays and weekends, which means there can be additional noise beyond our control. Also note, exterior security cameras are in place throughout the property.

Additionally, there are rocks that wash in and out on the beach periodically. Sometimes the beach is mainly sand; other times there are a fair amount of rocks. Since we can't predict the status of the rocks, you may wish to pack water shoes.

FUN THINGS TO SEE AND DO IN PUERTO RICO:

KAYAK, JET SKI RENTALS, AND MORE: "Adventure and Watersports Patillas", just 5 minutes away, offers all kinds of beach equipment rentals, plus unique local area tours, as well as tours to some of the larger popular tourist spots in Puerto Rico.

BIOLUMINESCENT BAY KAYAKING: Truly amazing if the weather and the moonlight are right. And great to do after the catamaran or rain forests trip, since you’ll be up near Fajardo already. Microorganisms called “dinoflagellates” glow when the water is stirred. You will kayak about 20 minutes through the mangrove trees to Laguna Aguas Prietas.

HIKING IN THE RAIN FOREST: El Yunque is a 29,000-acre National Park and rain forest. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a backpack with snacks, water, and possibly a rain jacket. IMPORTANT: You must enter from the north side of the island. The entrance from the south is closed.

CARABALI RAIN FOREST PARK: Located on the outskirts of the rain forest; they offer a fun 4-wheeler tour, along with horseback riding.

ZIPLINING: Toroverde Adventure Park offers top-rated ziplining. Absolutely amazing! Reserve online in advance. Take a jacket – it will be cooler up in the mountains. About a 90-minute drive. Open Thursday – Sunday. NOTE: You will be on some very curvy mountain roads to get there.

EXPLORE AND SHOP OLD SAN JUAN: Also visit one of the forts while there. El Morro is our favorite—truly amazing! Bring an umbrella and wear sunscreen—you’ll likely experience both intense sun and a popup shower.
