Wonderful secluded getaway
I had such a delightful time at this beautiful cabin. I particularly loved the interior design and the bed is the most comfortable one you will ever sleep on! It is exceptionally secluded--you won't hear from anyone around you--yet you are within a 5 to 10 minute drive from a small town with restaurants/groceries and Warrenton (a larger town) is within 15 to 20 minutes. Isabelle is pleasant and accessible and strives to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. This is just what I needed as a peaceful break from the hectic pace of life. You will make no mistake in choosing this place for your vacation getaway. I am definitely looking into returning! Thank you so much for the very lovely break that I so much needed.
Lovely cabin with a beautiful view
The cabin was the perfect setting for our girls' getaway! The home was immaculate and Isabel was an attentive host. We hope to return when the weather is warmer to use the kayaks, but still enjoyed watching the sunrise from the porch.
It was my pleasure to meet you all.Thank you for being such wonderful guests. Hope you will visit Le Chalet du lac again soon
Excellent vacation great location
The cabin is in a great location in front of a lake, we enjoyed watching ducks, deer and cows in the morning. The cabin is 1 hour away from DC and 1.5 from Richmond. The scenery is beautiful we enjoyed cooking and watching the lake and the ducks. We definitely would go back to the chateu du lac again. Isabelle is an excellent host and takes great care of her cabin
Thank you Francisco for your kind review. It has been enjoyable meeting you and your beautiful family. Thank you for keeping the cabin immaculate. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and I am looking forward to your visit again.

We have found our home away from home!
Our Thanksgiving at the cabin was perfect. The owner greeted us when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. The cabin is decorated nicely and feels warm and inviting. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to prepare a big meal. We even had the chance to spend time with the owners and their family. We watched the sun rise on the lake, took the canoe out, fished from the shore and visited the local Farmer's Market. A beautiful place in a beautiful setting. This cabin is owned by people who really care about the quality they provide their guests. This is our new favorite place and we will be back many times.
True log cabin experience in beautiful countryside!
Gorgeous cabin with fantastic views! Enjoy the lake view while sipping your morning coffee or say hi to the cows next door. The cabin is well equipped and extremely comfortable. You won’t want to leave but if you do Messicks farm market is just a few minutes away with a great selection of food, local made items, and a deli in case you don’t feel cooking. Owner is very friendly and communicative. Fabulous experience and would stay again.
Beautiful secluded cabin
This little cabin on the lake was even better than expected! More than enough room for my family of five to roam and play inside, and spacious yard, drive, and lakefront to explore outside. With three large bedrooms and three full baths - one on each floor - we all had our own privacy within the quiet seclusion of the property. The cabin was well appointed with the basics; a small but outfitted kitchen, beautifully decorated bedrooms and baths, and cozy furniture in every room. Isabella, the owner, was always accessible and ready to answer any questions we had. We were very lucky to find this little cabin, and we hope to visit again. We have already recommended the property to friends and family in the Northern VA area as a perfect “staycation” destination.
