Great stay!

Kathy was great and made check in and check out a breeze. House was exactly as described and we had an amazing stay at this house with a large group. Plenty of space and lots of fun! Will definitely be staying here again if possible!

Great house!

This house was perfect for our group of friends for a girls trip. Plenty of space, beautiful outside deck, great location. The manager Kathy was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. We had a great stay at her house!

Amazing weekend!

Our weekend was great! The house is so cute and great for a group of friends. Location is excellent and the house was very clean. The home owner was extremely helpful and provided fabulous recommendations. We will definitely be back!

A Perfect Family Vacation

This was the perfect beach house for our family! Three generations, 6 adults and children 6 and 9. The house is immaculate, beautifully decorated and just enough of everything you need. Add good food, drink and great weather and a short walk to the beach and it adds up to the ideal summer vacation. Would love to come back. Thanks, Kathy!

wonderful all ages gathering

We had a great time despite some rainy weather! The house was beautiful and perfect for our Mom's 80th birthday gathering. Kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking together and hanging out in the open floor plan living room. We played games and shared meals on the big dining room table. Loved the decks and the short walk to the beach. Easy communication with the homeowner, too!

Needs some tweeking

Accommodations were sweet and cozy. Deck chairs provided a nice comfortable option in the evenings except for the mosquitoes who were uninvited. This home is lovely but is in need of a deep cleaning or change out of rugs and slip covers. The pots and pans were burned / scarred and oven needed a good cleaning. The yard could also be more manicured and neat Our host was lovely and accommodating however. She worked promptly with VRBO when our first day was overbooked and got us our refund right away. Just a few tweaks and we would surely return.

Great house for large group

My family and I loved our stay at Kathy's rental! The house was spacious, clean and loaded with beach chairs, umbrellas, wagons, bikes..etc. The wrap around deck allowed us to BBQ and relax outside after enjoying a day at the beach which is only a 3 min walk. I have two small children so the beach toys and packnplay were a huge bonus for us. The outdoor shower allowed the kids to clean off before going inside..and the laundry room on the first floor was super convenient as well! I do agree with the other review regarding paper goods- no one wants to do dishes on vacation! I also can't say enough about Kathy and how helpful and accommodating she was. As first time renters we had a ton of questions and she was happy to talk us through it all. We look forward to renting this house again next year 👍🏼👍🏼

Wonderful property in a great location

We (9 adults, 2 young children & a dog) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. 1 block from the ferry, and one more block to the beach. The house itself easily accommodated our large group, and we especially enjoyed the large living room area and the wraparound deck. Having a wagon, beach chairs & 2 beach umbrellas made beach life a breeze, and we were able to use the outdoor grill with no problem. Our host was easy to contact and helpful. One downside for us is that my husband has mobility issues and the bedrooms and bathrooms all required him to climb stairs, which had railings and we knew this when we agreed to rent this house. He made the best of it, and I only mention it in case another renter has difficulties with stairs, or uses a walker like my husband. 2 other things to point out are no A/C in main living area ( all bedrooms DO have A/C) and couches were not comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend this place- great location, friendly, helpful host, more than adequate beach supplies, well equipped kitchen (with 2 refrigerators!), and great outdoor living space with comfortable furniture. Would love to spend another week here!

The house was clean, comfortable and spacious. Close to the ferry, beach and Flynn's. Very convenient location. The homeowner was very responsive. Air conditioners in the bedrooms was nice to have (even though it was September to help with humidity) but the seal around the window units was not good and some screens in the areas without A/C were torn allowing mosquitoes in. There was no sound system, not even a working speaker to stream from.Unfortunately the water pressure was not good. Also, the house was not equipped with useful essentials like hand towels or aluminum foil. We were only going for a long weekend and weren't preparing meals so we didn't think we needed to stock up with basic supplies. Luckily I did bring paper towels that we used in the bathrooms in lieu of hand towels. We have been renting on Fire Island for over 20 years and basics have always been supplied. The house was fine for what we needed, a clean place to stay together for a multiple day wedding.

Great house, great location!

Stayed here with a group of friends all in our mid 30s. The house was lovely - plenty of space for all. The outside porch was awesome. Had everything we needed in terms of kitchen appliances and plate ware. We cooked a bunch, used the grill, it was great. The location is person - steps to the beach and steps to the ferry. We went “off season” after Labor Day but the island was still very much alive and fun! Kathy was fabulous with communication and asserting questions we had (grocery delivery, ferry schedules etc.) Great house, recommend !

The perfect vacation home!

Great host and house

The house is clean, spacious, and was perfect for a stay of 10. Kathy was a great host even when we had an issue that was our fault, she was understanding and kind. Definitely recommend renting this home!

Excellent Beach House

We absolutely loved our Memorial Day weekend stay at Kathy’s property for my bachelorette party. The house was clean and perfect for a group of 13 ladies all in their late 20’s-early 30’s. There was one minor issue upon arrival, but Kathy was quick to respond to our call and sent someone over to fix it within the hour. What more could you ask for from a host! The location was perfect distance from the ferry and the ocean… and the deck was the absolute best part! I’m a long-time OBP visitor and this house has BY FAR the best deck of any house I’ve ever stayed in. I can’t wait to book another stay at Kathy’s Seneca property in the future. Thank you for everything!!!

Overall it was great.

Overall great location and nice space. Sunny deck was nice. Master bed was great - others reported beds were not comfortable. No beach towels provided. No hair dryer. No bath soap - only hand soap dispenser. Otherwise we were happy with it.

Summer Vaca

Great house true to photos. Location was perfect! 4 min walk to Ferry, 5 minutes to beach, 3 minutes to Flynn’s and only a 30 min walk to Ocean Beach!!! Rooms are spacious and cool with AC in each. All but the master are on the lower level. Living area on the main floor was perfect for my party of 12! Decks and outdoor seating on that level awesome. Master with it’s own bathroom sweet! My only complaint is I wish there was AC on the main level but the ocean breeze through all the doors and windows kept it cool! If Kathy added a jacuzzi this place would never be available so not sure if I should make that suggestion.?!
