About this property

Beautiful 2 BR Beachside Condo with Heated Pool - May & June discounts

Welcome to Carpinteria! We are just across the street from the beach, on the corner of Sandyland Road and Elm St. in the La Cabana complex. Discounts for longer stays and last minute bookings especially in May and June.

We love our condo and attentively care for it. We furnish it as we would our own home, as at times we like to stay here at ourselves. The condo has lots of sunlight, views of the mountains, and cross breezes (we are an end-unit.)

The unit is a completely and beautifully renovated 2 bdrm condo, one king, one queen, in a quiet complex- Pergo floors, granite counter tops, newly painted sky blue, tile bathroom floor. It is full of light, and is peaceful and comfortable. There is one bathroom with a tub and shower. We have fast WiFi and streaming TV services and a DVD player and large DVD collection. Laundry is not in the unit, but is onsite directly below our condo. The swimming pool is heated, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped, There are gas grills and picnic tables for your use.

You can walk across the street to Carpinteria Beach, one of the loveliest, safest, cleanest beaches at the South Central Coast. We provide beach towels, beach chairs and toys to take over to the sand with you. Linden St. with shops and restaurants is one block over. The new Linden Square is a great place to visit for good food and shopping.

The wildlife refuge is a short walk and has excellent birding. The seal rookery is down the beach (though views are from the bluffs only during pup season.) Dolphins and whales swim offshore. Carpinteria is a lovely beachside town for walking around, with good restaurants, shops, parks, artists' shops, antique stores, and palm tree lined streets.

Santa Barbara is 15 minutes up Rt. 101, with many family activities and attractions: shops; zoo; botanical gardens; bike paths; watersports, art museum, natural history museum . Summerland is a great nearby town for antiquing and many wineries are nearby.

We aim for a reasonable rates. Note that there is a required Carpinteria 15% town tax and a cleaning fee. Discounts for longer stays, last minute bookings, and lower rates in the spring and fall and winter compared to the summer. Our Carpinteria rental license is 1046-VR-21.

We spent a month in this comfortable condo. It was a wonderful home away from home with great beds and everything we needed. The location is fantastic - just steps to the beach- and Paul was a great, responsive host. We would love to stay there again!

Nicely upgraded condo only 1 block to beautiful sandy beach. Quiet complex, ample parking, attractively landscaped. Fully stocked kitchen made mealtime easy. Paul was easy to contact and quickly answered any questions we had. Carpinteria is a wonderful small beach town with stylish downtown offering many shops and restaurants to visit. We will be back.

We have stayed at VRBO's in Carpinteria numerous time and I have to say this is by far the nicest.It is just as described and more. Spacious and clean plus provideing everything one needs. Super close to the beach plus a great pool. Made our annual trip to Carpinteria the best ever!

We were so pleased to find this 2 bedroom gem close to the beach in Carpinteria. The condo was cleam, well appointed, comfy beds, beautiful grounds and pool just a short stroll to the beach. The owner was very responsive to all communication and kindly answered all my questions. We would love to return in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Paul’s place in Carp. You can’t beat the location, and the complex itself was very quiet compared to others nearby, even during the summer. We had a small hiccup with the property, but Paul answered our first phone call and had it all handled within hours very professionally. We will be back!

We live in Santa Barbara, and love the beautiful climate and outdoors. We are fortunate to enjoy such a beautiful place. We moved here from the Boston area, so it's especially nice in the winter. We have 3 boys, a youngest daughter, and all of us love coming to Carpinteria and going to the beach when we get can get down to our condo!

Why they chose this property

We loved the Carpinteria at first sight. It has a small town, community feeling, and reminded us of New England where we are from. We enjoy the tall palms lining the streets, expansive beaches, local shops of all kinds, warm breezes, and relaxed and friendly people. We live up the 101 in Santa Barbara but come to Carpinteria regularly because we enjoy it. There are many places to explore: wetland preserve, seal rookery, enormous greenhouses (see the orchids). The foothills are also fun to explore. Linden Square is a great addition of shops and restaurants up the street.

What makes this property unique

Our condo is in a small complex, La Cabana, across the street from Carpinteria Beach. Most of the condos are owner occupied, so it does not feel like a vacation resort. We overlook the courtyard and pool from our second floor unit. We can go out the door in the morning, and walk on the beach in the early light or go for a swim. A short walk away is the Spot, a great local hamburger place, and in the other direction is the wetland marsh preserve. From our unit you can hear the ocean and feel the onshore breeze.
