We invite you to enjoy our beautiful 2400 square foot home in a peaceful residential neighborhood. Perfect for a romantic getaway or for families to share a relaxing vacation at the beach! Walk 10 minutes to Rio del Mar Beach, right next to Seacliff State Beach, where you'll find a convenience store, a deli, a restaurant and a coffee shop, as well as free beach parking. Santa Cruz and Capitola are a short drive away.

This 2 story, 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home features an open floor plan you'll love, beautiful kitchen and ocean views from all bedrooms and living areas. The upper and large lower decks provide additional areas for you to relax and enjoy your getaway.

Upstairs you'll find one primary bedroom with bath, separate tub and shower and walk in closet. The family room features a gas fireplace, 65' LED smart TV and sectional sofa. The upper deck has panoramic ocean and beach views. The dining room has seating for 8, as well as a bar attached to the kitchen that seats 4 more. The fully equipped kitchen features newer appliances, including a dishwasher and wine refrigerator. You'll also find a half bath and washer/dryer upstairs.

The spacious lower level includes a second primary bedroom with private full bathroom, as well as a 3rd bedroom and separate bathroom. The family room with 47' LED flat screen TV opens onto the large lower deck, also with beautiful ocean views. You'll also find a patio table that seats 6, a gas BBQ, a propane fire pit for keeping you warm on chilly seaside evenings.

The garage is stocked with bikes, scooters and beach chairs, as well as sand toys and boogie boards for your enjoyment.

Aptos and the surrounding areas have something for everyone! Golf, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, shopping and dining in Capitola, hiking, surfing, fishing, biking and much much more!

*Guests bringing extra people and guests having gatherings at the house has become an issue in 2023/24. If you bring extra people or have a gathering at my home I will keep your entire deposit.

Property even better than described!

Our party of 6 all had an amazing time and loved our stay. My wife and I are local and always appreciate the ocean but our 4 friends came from OR and WA and couldnt stop taking in the ocean view and sunsets from this house. The property makes it easy for each of the 3 bedrooms to have their own bathroom and there's plenty of space to gather and play games. The bocce ball court was a bit hit and the kitchen was very well equipped for cooking.The driveway can be a little difficult to navigate as its very steep at the start before flattening out at the top. Wasn't a huge problem but something you should be aware of.The beds could be upgraded. They were pretty firm but not a big problem.Would 100% book this property again if trip aligns again for next year.

Ocean view

Second time staying here. Beds are comfy, and there is a bathroom for each bedroom. The view of the ocean sells this location. The sunsets are stunning.

Incredible Ocean Views from a Beautiful Home

I spent three nights with five other females from my family, and we had the best time. This home easily accommodated us with plenty of space to truly enjoy ourselves as a group and to enjoy some quiet time looking out to the ocean from a large comfy chair or from one of the two decks. A very large open kitchen, dining, and living area was enjoyed for our meals, playing games, charades, karaoke, and watching Sunday afternoon football. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The home is well decorated and furnished, along with huge windows from all the bedrooms and living area which face out to the ocean. I highly recommend this rental, which, in fact, I rented once before two years ago.

Celebrating our moms 80th!

We were 6 adults and 2 kids. The house was so beautifully appointed with an amazing view and 1/2 mile walk to the beach. We loved every minute and would definitely recommend it to anyone. The pictures don’t do it justice - this is a gorgeous and comfortable home perfect for all of us.

Wow!!

This house was AMAZING!!! My siblings and I haven’t all been together in years!! Plenty of room for all!! We had a great time.. We brought way to much stuff… This house supplied everything!! Nice.. The only bad thing…. We thought we’d come again next year and it’s not available!!

Great view, beautiful home

What a great place! When you walk in, all directions and information were perfectly accurate. The photos were good, but the home was even better in person. The house is very clean, updated, and well stocked. It was a perfect place for my family, which includes two teenagers and adults. I felt as though I was staying at a friend’s home. We will definitely be back!

Perfect setting for our family’s reunion and graduation celebeation

Amazing setting with lovely breeze and ocean views from balcony dining room and patio. We used an air bed for my grown son and slept well in the beds. Great kitchen and laundry. Only downside was the fridge didn’t hold temperature properly when opened and hot water to both master bath/showers took awhile.

Magic on the Hill

Temple’s by the Sea was a bit of magic. My elderly parents, my kids, and I were enchanted by the art that was everywhere, the views and sounds of the sea, the birding while sitting on the sunny deck (two pairs of binoculars provided), the cozy fireplace, and just the overall comfy but spacious feel of this home! Great property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The house is completely stocked with pots, pans, dishtowels, cleaning supplies etc. in the kitchen. There were beach chairs and such to use if you were interested. Many amenities like laundry detergent, dryer sheets, etc. if you needed them. Super clean. Plenty of towels. Huge fridge. Great 6 burner commercial style gas stove. Beautiful gas fireplace which we used every day. Two balconies to enjoy the view! Even a Bocce Ball court! It did take a minute for the hot water to get going, but that was no big deal. The owners have left helpful notes all over the property. Look for the binder because it has helpful and necessary information! It was on the bookshelf, so we didn't see it until we asked for certain information. The owners are easy to communicate with also. We would highly recommend this property.

Family getaway

This house was perfect for us. Having 2 separate living areas was great. The kids could have their own space and not be bothered by adults. The view from the deck was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolute gem with one minor caveat

This place is amazing, with sweeping views, tons of natural light and lots of space for a big family. The surrounding trees are also really lovely, it feels like you are in a luxury tree house. Our only disappointment was the traffic noise. We hadn't realized how close it was to the freeway. You can't see it at all, but you will hear it.

A gem in Aptos!

If you are wondering whether to book a stay at this Aptos home, the answer should be "Yes"! We were 6 adults in our 40s and 50s traveling together for a birthday, and were so pleased with the property. First, the location is perfect--about a 3 minute drive to the beach, less than 10 minutes to groceries, coffee, restaurants; 15 minutes to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk; 30 minutes to Monterey. The house itself is beautiful--we loved the art, the views from EVERY window (including in all of the bedrooms), the decks, the double living rooms, and an amazing kitchen with more than you could possibly need for cooking. That kitchen really is a big deal--not only is it roomy and beautiful with great views, but it is ready for groups like ours that want to cook together. The bedrooms are spread out so that everyone has privacy, and everyone has their own bathroom. Even the neighborhood where this house is located is idyllic with other lovely yards and homes, and a great feel. I will not hesitate to book Jody's house again in the future. It was a truly unique and lovely home that was great both as a jumping off point to local attractions, as well as to hunker down and enjoy time with family and friends.

Spacious relaxing family time

The property had great space for us and our adult children to spend time together at the kitchen table, living room, decks, and using the bocce ball court, and also allowed separation with the 2 BR/2bath, and living room downstairs for the kids to play video games and watch TV. The location was a 10 min walk to the beach, and 15 min drive to Capitola and Santa Cruz, and close to Hwy 1 to go to Henry Cowell State park. The house had great kitchen and supplies for cooking and having a few drinks. My only suggestion would be for maybe a new beds. Beds were really soft, so didn't sleep well. With new mattress, I would stay here again and highly recommend this property. Thanks for the making our vacation great. P&T Smith from Nebraska.
