Casa Blanca sur la plage

Bienvenue à Casa Blanca notre retraite de la famille de la folie. Nous aimerions partager avec vous la belle plage de Playa Grande avec des couchers de soleil à couper le souffle, l'abondance de la faune et indéniablement le paysage le plus spectaculaire.

Playa Grande fait partie du parc national de Las Baulas oĂč nichent les plus grandes tortues luth au monde. Parce que nous sommes juste sur la plage, vous pourriez avoir de la chance et voir les tortues quand ils viennent pondre leurs Ɠufs ou les nouveau-nĂ©s quand ils font leur course Ă  la mer.

Nous sommes Ă  environ une heure de l'aĂ©roport de Liberia. Nous sommes Ă©galement Ă  30 minutes en voiture ou une courte promenade sur la plage de Tamarindo et Ă  30 minutes de Flamingo oĂč vous trouverez de nombreux magasins et restaurants.

DĂ©tendez-vous sur le porche et regarder les vagues se briser et le coucher du soleil tout en sirotant un cocktail. La maison a une disposition ouverte avec une cuisine bien Ă©quipĂ©e, une grande table de salle Ă  manger pouvant accueillir 12 personnes, une magnifique table ronde, de nombreux coins salons oĂč vous pourrez profiter de votre compagnie ou lire un livre en regardant l'ocĂ©an.

Nous offrons un service de ménage quotidien 6 jours par semaine, sans frais supplémentaires.

Pura Vida!

It’s was our fourth time in Costa Rica and it was the most beautiful villa that we rent. Everything was perfect! The location, directly on the beach, the villa was beautiful( the pictures don’t do it justice), it was very well equiped and Magda came each day to clean it. We loved to enjoy the beach, the tranquility of Playa Grande and the kindness of the people. The communication with the owner was very easy. We hope we will be able to return soon and envoy this beautiful place!

Lovely place on the beach

Wow! Beautiful home on the beach has everything you need for an amazing stay in Playa Grande. Lovely little village with good restaurants and surf shops, the beach itself is wide and goes for miles. We spent hours surfing, boggie boarding, relaxing on the sand and watching sunsets. The housekeeper Magda was kind and helpful and did a great job keeping the sand a bay. I highly recommend Casa Blanca, you will not regret it!

Incredible Family Vacation

I have stayed in the area multiple times and this location can't be beat. Directly on one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever visited. Surfing for beginners to advanced with multiple breeaks. Long secluded walks on the beach, tidal pools for the kids to explore. Laid back small town, just what you need if looking to get away from crowds andcongestion. House had all we needed for multiple semi-pro chefs in our family. Housekeeping was friendly and meticulous, Communication with owner was excellent. Fantastic family memories for our group of 13! Thank you Dee and Magda.

Amazing Trip at Casa Blanca

My family with an infant and a three year old just had an amazing trip at the Casa Blanca property. The house is right on an amazing beach, open the back patio door and you’re on the beach. The house was in great shape, Magda kept It very clean every day. It had everything we needed. We are already talking about our next trip to come back.

The Perfect Beach/Sunset Location - Pura Vida!

This property is fantastic if you’re looking for beach relaxation and short travel times to some town excursions. Our party was two families of 4 and there was plenty of space with a/c in all the rooms we slept. Magda the caretaker was great each day we were there and Diedre was very quick to respond, although we didn’t have any issues. We plan to return to CR as soon as we can and we have already recommended this property to others. My favorite part was sitting right off the back patio each night on the sand and enjoying some music and the waves. Pura Vida!

A perfect home for a large group

We had a wonderful time as a family this home is right on the beach we enjoyed the beautiful home and hours on the beach...we loved it so much we never left except tobrent surf boards and to eat a few meals out. We walked to Hotel Las Tortugas for the best lunches! Only complaints sofa bed not comfotable and house could be cleaner. Diedra is great to work with. We would highly recommend this place!

Perfect Family Surf Destination

The house is beautiful and the location of “beachfront” is an understatement; the house is literally on the sand and the water’s edge is only feet from the front porch. Magda, the onsite caretaker is a doll and is very helpful. I rated the house at 5-stars for cleanliness because Magda is constantly tidying and straightening things; however, don’t expect 5-star hotel-level perfection. It’s a beach house located in a moderately-developed town so there is bound to be sand in places and the occasional stray bug, etc, but it is very clean/tidy, all things considered. For surfers, there is a great beach break right in front of the house and various other breaks along the walkable beach. 70 minute drive from LIR, 2 hour drive from the volcano and waterfall attractions. Great location, great house, our best family vacation ever.

Host and on-site contact are excellent - property is great

Everything is as listed on the website (and even better in-person). Five star experience - highly recommended. Very happy with Dee (the owner). Her communication is exceptional and very pleased with her engagement. She is a great VRBO host. Magda (on-site maid/house keeper) is a sweetheart. We enjoyed talking with her every day and appreciate her assistance on-site The property is perfect. We are five close friends who travel on trips together. The surf right outside was perfect. Plus, a short walk to the Taco Star, The Beach Club, and The Onda hotel all worked perfectly. Playa Grande is a slice of heaven. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning was good, the kitchen is very spacious, and the entire house could not have been better. Plus the views from inside as well as sitting on the covered patio overlooking the ocean was perfect. We enjoyed the walk to the big volcanic rock down the beach on the right. It's a fun spot to climb and catch a sunset or view. We would stay here again. Zero complaints, wonderful property and the people made a significant impact too. Major kudos to Dee (owner) and Magda (on-site contact). It was our first trip to Costa Rica and it could not have gone better. Pura Vida!

Incredible View!

We had a great stay at Casa Blanca. Playa Grande is a beautiful white sand beach that provides perfect waves for surfing, boogie boarding, long walks and amazing sunsets! If you are lucky you might see a turtle on the beach. This house is perfect for three couples that enjoy air conditioned rooms. Each bedroom is very spacious and have their own full bathroom and huge king sized beds. The loft over the family room has a double bed and another bathroom but no air conditioning. It was warm up there for sleeping so our daughter slept on the couch which was comfortable for sleeping as well. The caretaker, Magda, lives onsite and she cleans everyday, provides fresh towels, and makes the beds. She does a fantastic job. She doesn’t speak much English so be aware of the language barrier. There weren’t any spices except salt, no plastic wrap or aluminum foil or anything like that. This was consistent with previous reviews that we had read. We didn’t find any toys for the beach (balls, frisbees, etc.) so be sure to bring your own if you wish. Our only suggestion would be to have some hooks on the patio to hang wet towels or suits. The sunsets every night right from the house patio were amazing. Overall the house was perfect and we will definitely stay here again if we return to Playa Grande. Thank you Deidre!!

Amazing location, great for families

The property is literally right on the beach! The Playa Grande community was perfect for our family vacation from the winter and cold! Dee was always available for quick answers to any questions I had. Magda was on-site while she speaks little English she’s a very kind, hardworking person who worked hard to make sure we had what we needed. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. The only item we borrowed from a family member’s property was their crockpot which was handy to throw something into the pot and then have a warm dinner ready whenever we got home from the day’s playing. All the beds in the main bedrooms are comfortable, but the two hide away beds in the living rooms were a little skinny on padding (they always are!). We were able to remedy this by taking the pass off the lounge chairs - easy fix! The only recommendation I’d have is for there to be a deep clean of the whole property. It’s clear that Magda does a great job keeping a clean house - there were just areas of the home that needed a tad more attention. Overall, we were exceptionally pleased with the house, the location, and the service. We’d go back in a heartbeat and are going to cherish the memories made on this trip! Thanks Dee!!

Location, location, location

We LOVED our stay at Playa Grande! Perfect for us and our 4 kids ages 15-21. Such a rare experience to be ON a beach with only a few other houses, a great surf break right in front of us, and a comfortable roomy home. My favorite part of the stay was lounging on the couch while watching my boys surfing out the window! The home is very spacious, room for all to stretch out, great AC, big dining table, nice game table (bring your own puzzles or games). The patio is perfect for being on the beach but out of the sun (or in our case, the rain....we had bad luck with a rare tropical storm during our stay, but it was the perfect place to be nonetheless). We liked the quietness of Playa Grande, beautiful for long walks. We did drive to Tamorindo one evening and we were so happy to return to Playa Grande! There are a few restaurants in town and some small markets. The best was being able to walk a couple hundred yards south on the beach for breakfast at Hotel Las Tortugas and lunch at Taco Star stand. This isn't the home for you if you are a clean freak, it could use a deep cleaning, but it's a beach house, and we overlooked that for the positives. The caretaker Magda is lovely and we enjoyed the luxury of her coming every day to tidy up. Most of the other rentals at Playa Grande are a walk to the beach and you just can't overstate the value of being ON the beach. We want to go back!!

Incredible location

This is an incredible (very large) house, with every amenity you could possibly need. Even better, the location is amazing. The house is ON the beach, and tucked away in a quiet area with an uninterrupted view of the ocean. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.
