Farragut House in Sea Colony

Wow what an amazing place! We loved our condo on the beach- great pools, great beach atmosphere and wonderful surrounding restaurants! We hope to be back next year for sure - this was our favorite vacation to date! Can’t recommend this unit highly enough, the decor was great, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more, the unit was spacious and private- no noisy neighbors which was great for our young child.

Overall a nice condo however pots and pans with coatings were coming off

The room was a great location and wonderful for littles. I will say the door to get in and to the balcony are very difficult to open. Also, the dryer takes a long time to dry things. Furniture and the room itself for amazing! We had the best time, and really enjoyed our stay! Parking was at a great spot and fit our dodge truck.

Excellent location with easy access to the beach. Amenities accurately listed. Most furnishings up-to-date, but age showing on furniture. With a few exceptions, cleanliness was excellent. Exceptions were floors and cabinets. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.

Great vacation condo

We loved the layout of this condo. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with items. Washer/dryer could use an update. Loved that their was a tub for our little one! Balcony chairs were super comfortable. Cable didn't work very well but thankfully the wifi did so we could use our fire stick.

The condo was very clean upon arrival and the kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary utensils and silverware. Other areas had lots of books, games and CD's...alll to enjoy while one was away. It was a short walk to the beach and the view of the ocean from the balcony/living room was awesome! There was only one beach chair available. Perhaps more could be provided and there should be more small bowls for spreads and snack food, but we survived using the large bowls. All in all, it was a good place to relax and unwind.

Perfect weekend getaway! I feel restored and rejuvenated.

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway. The condo was very clean, super convenient and so relaxing. The views are stunning of the water, and such an easy walk to the beach and downtown Bethany. Was kind of hoping a storm would roll in because that would be amazing to watch from this place too. Also loved the Sea Colony pool and amenities. Great diversity of options and entertainment. Probably most importantly, I slept great. The beach breezes were the perfect medicine for healing, with long naps and lots of reading on the balcony. Can't wait to book again and continue the self-care regimen that only the beachside community can provide. Oh, and while there, definitely check out Bethany Beach Massage and Healing Arts down the road in South Bethany. An amazing team and such great healers.

very clean, nice room

We have been coming to Sea Colony for over fifteen years. Our room this year was very clean, well kept. Bathroom and kitchen facilities were well maintained. We liked having tvs in every bedroom and plenty of chairs on the deck. The owners have maintained this unit. We did miss having sufficient kitchen supplies. We eat in most of the time and with covid more so. I would suggest Sea Colony have a list of standard kitchen supplies so people know what to expect. One year there is no colander, the next, no large pot. This unit had plenty of nice plates and cereal bowls and glasses but literally no larger bowls- to mix a salad in for example-most units have several sizes bowls. It was also lacking any decent pots, all were very scratched teflon- just a couple of good pots, one medium, one large would be great. And a note-the dryer needs fixed.All in all however, our stay was lovely.

Good but needs upgrade

The condo is well appointed inside (kitchen supplies, extra blankets, pillows etc etc). The bed setup is good, particularly 2 twins in the 3rd room. The balcony area is dirty – furniture, sliding door, railings, floor. The screen on the sliding door is detached along one side and needs replacing. The front screen door is unnecessary, in my opinion; the doormat gets stuck on it and when open it infringes on the neighbor’s entryway. The condo is outdated and could use a renovation (especially full bathrooms renos). It is definitely time for a new coat of paint throughout rather than the obvious patch jobs; also please choose a contemporary color. The place is fairly clean but because of its condition some things just seem unclean/stained, e.g, baseboards, showers. The linens (sheets, towels) were not fancy but were clean and plentiful. The furniture and dĂ©cor is decent. It’s nice to have a washer and dryer but they need replacing (especially the dryer which takes hours to dry one load – it’s probably unsafe). We’ve stayed here for a week the past two years and the reason we returned is because we wanted to be close to familiar amenities and ‘knew what we were getting.’ However, the price is high compared to comparable units and we got stuck because we reserved late in the season the first year.

Perfect location

We absolutely loved this unit! It had everything we needed to cook at home — perfect set up for kids to be in their own bathroom — and the location for beach and pool (2 pools!) access was PERFECT!

Great oceanfront apt with panoramic views

We really liked the masterbedroom on the ocean side that gave us an ocean view from bed. Wave noise lulled us to sleep. The internet and tvs were terrific and newer which was important since we needed the net for business and study. Kitchen appliances were newer and made staying in for many meals during covid easier. Only beef was hallway noise in the rear bedroom. This was an issue at other Sea Colony places we rented. Most of the pools closed for the season during our visit but the indoor pool, hot tub, and exercise club made up for this. Easy parking right under the unit made unpacking easy and we were able to leave beach chairs in the car (beach chair rentals also closed during our mid-Sept stay). The Sea colony surrounded by drug stores, restaurants, and even a donut shop so we could walk to shop except for a Giant(Large supermarket chain) run that was 5 miles. Fishing rules on beach have eased since our visit years ago making these rentals more attractive.

Excellent overall for my elderly parents

With my moms recovering knee from knee surgery and my fathers medical conditions needing a liver transplant, this location and facility was a good fit for their needs. Elevator. Close to beach. 2nd floor. Relaxing balcony. We celebrated my moms birthday as a family and it was just what we all needed! Beds were comfy! The only thing was wasn’t swept good when we arrived. Other than that, wonderful! Would vacation here again!
