We really loved our stay at Beach Lovers’ Retreat. The house has everything you might need and there was a real attention to detail. It was very clean, the beds were lovely, the living room was a perfect hang space and the backyard was really pretty. We had most of our meals out there. I had a few questions and received immediate responses. And to top that all off, there’s a gorgeous beach just a block away. Will definitely come back.

Our family and golden retriever had a fabulous time at Beach Lovers Retreat! Warm & inviting home, great space, lots of amenities, perfect beach house vibes. Easy walk to beach that is the most dog friendly of the beaches in Santa Cruz that we've stayed. We really appreciate this rentals hospitality with dog bowls, bedding etc. And going through Beachnest Vacation rentals was as easy, smooth, and responsive as they always are. Would absolutely stay again.

The house is super cute and comfortable. The neighborhood is so close to everything, even given Santa Cruz traffic! Very quiet, no street noise, just some seals and seagulls which we really enjoyed. Bring your own coffee and fixings though. That was the only thing we didn't know to supply ourselves.

Nice 2 bedroom 2 blocks from beach. Nice kitchen and backyard with good bbq.easily sleeps 4. Sofa bed to sleep 2 more most likely very tight . Could use more lighting in dining area. Maybe light bulbs need replacing . We enjoyed our stay !

We loved our stay! The house was cute and the neighborhood was quiet. The backyard was perfect for our pups and we enjoyed using the fire pit. The beach is a quick walk and the beach was dog friendly and had plenty of space despite it being Memorial Day weekend. The hosts were quick to respond to us. We will definitely be back!

The best! Such a nice house, spotless and comfortable. Amazing secluded and green backyard with plenty of lounge chairs and palm trees to stare at. We cannot wait to come back.

Great beach house that was a super close to the shoreline. Our family walked down to the beach every morning for a walk and at the far end would explore the small tide pool area of the beach. After going to the boardwalk or taking shopping trip to Capitola we would walk back to the beach in the afternoon for some fun in the waves. The house was super nice and clean and was one of the very few we found that was pet friendly. I would for sure recommend this beach house to anyone who wants to go to the Santa Cruz area. We'll most likely be back in years to come.

The best thing about this rental is its great location. Just a block and half walk to the beach (Two-Six Beach), for great waves and surfers to watch. The house has a nice, private backyard and pretty front yard, and the neighborhood is fairly quiet at night. The bed is very comfortable and it was nice to find several frozen freezer packs in the freezer for day trips in the car. Only drawbacks were a shower curtain liner that needs serious cleaning or replacing in the main bathroom, and the water in the second bathroom shower stall is too hot with no way to adjust the temperature. Overall, a good rental!

Easy Beach Getaway

We just returned home from our lovely three night getaway at this cozy home “Beach Lovers Retreat.” We’ve stayed at this home several times and continue to return due to its easy access to the beach (just a short couple of blocks walking distance), cleanliness of the property, ease of check in and out, and overall comfort of the house. The kitchen is always well stocked for cooking but there are also many close restaurants nearby that we enjoy. Always a pleasure to get a chance to stay at this great vacation rental on the coast!

It was a nice house. but the front door code didn’t work and the hot water didn’t really function that well. Had to be left running forever to heat up. Check out time was confusing as it is listed in the house on the fridge as 11 and in text - strictly at 10. Main bed is so springy that if either person moved the whole bed shakes.

Perfect Weekend Away

We stayed at the house with out two young sons and dog, and had such a lovely weekend; we didn't want to leave! The house is very clean and comfortable, and Linda has thought of all the perfect little touches to make it feel like home. We loved all the notes posted around the house to help you find what you need. In addition, the beach is an easy two-block walk away where you can spend the whole day and never get in the car. Everyone had a great time! :)

Ashley and her family are one of the most perfect guests we've ever had. Thank you for leaving it so clean and easy for us to turn it over for the next guests, even with all the new cleaning requirements due to COVID. I wouldn't hesitate to rent to you and your family again in the future.

Post COVID refresher

We (2 adults and our German Shepherd) stayed for 4 nights. This house is just as advertised and more. Best equipped kitchen we've ever seen. There were kid and dog supplies galore. No worries if you forget something as it's probably already there. Our dog took every toy out of the basket to play with. Great location to walk the dog and easy to get to the beach and quick drive to groceries and restaurants. Would definitely stay again if we're headed to Santa Cruz area.
