We love it! Staying on the beach with beautiful ocean views - sitting drinking coffee reading the Bible watching the run rise was THE BEST! The unit was immaculate! The entire complex was clean and neat freshly painted it updated in every area around the pool and showers. Such an easy walk across the walkway to the bridge from the pool area.A different small food truck every day with cold treats for all was so fun! Unloading and loading was made easy with not only but industrial shopping carts to put your stuff in, especially when you brought in groceries for the week.We loved it here We will be back!

Very nice Condo and Complex

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed over Independence Day holiday for the week. Condo was very clean and thoughtfully laid out/furnished and had all cooking “things” one would need on a week of vacation. View was spectacular! Colony Reef is the best complex in St. Augustine that we have stayed at. The pool is 3x size Vs other complex smaller pools. Hot tub is a plus. Indoor sauna is fantastic. Also not found at other complexes is the the large grassy open courtyard which lends itself to kids/teenagers putting together ad-hoc games and putting AWAY THIER PHONES....Volleyball, kickball, wiffleball,, football, frisbee. Seeing our kids and niece use verbal communication skills with other kids gave me hope for the future;) Have fun but thankfully quite time settles in 9-10ish - it was a family environment. The complex itself was very clean and the front office people are great to work with. Oh - daily food/coffee trucks were a treat too!

Family beach vacation

This trip was everything we hoped it would be. The location was perfect - close to lots of great restaurants. The condo included access to the beach and outdoor / indoor pools which we loved. The views were spectacular and the inside was nicely decorated. We made so many great memories on this trip and will be returning!

I have been staying at Colony Reef for over thirty years. I personally like a little bit of an outdated, tile floor, sandy vacation feel. It’s part of the beach experience. This was our first time staying in this particular condo.The condo was spacious and clean. The living room furniture was pretty rough though. The two blue chairs are so old and worn down it made it nearly impossible to sit in them. The couch was good but small and that was a problem since we couldn’t use the blue chairs. Beds were good, view was amazing, outdoor patio furniture was wonderful, kitchen was good, bathrooms were great, laundry was great, it is quiet and beautiful, and the elevators worked the entire week this time! Our front glass door was broken but the office has it fixed it the day after we put in the request. If the living room had a larger couch like most or different chairs, that would have been nice. Luckily, we didn’t spend too much time in the living room. It was a bit odd that there were not any beach towels, beach chairs, or toys left by other people. It’s the first time we have had to l purchase these items which was a bit annoying since taking them back home would be pointless. I would stay here again if others were not available. We had a wonderful vacation and truly had no major complaints. The property is one of my favorites. Food trucks, movie night, beautiful grass area, clean pool, and of course the beautiful beach. As always, we will be back

While our condos get significant use in the summer months all the condos should be clean and comfortable, so please let us know next time if something was missed with the cleaner and we will send them back right away. I have shared your feedback with the owner about the living room chairs and getting them updated. We are so glad you loved the beds, outdoor furniture and that amazing oceanfront view. We always send out an email to all our guests reminding them what we provide and what to bring since it's never a guarantee what the previous renter leaves behind. Our stay was fabulous!

Girls getaway for 5 days was wonderful! Location was perfect. Very clean! Beds were comfy! Kitchen perfectly stocked! Electric grill and outdoor furniture on the porch was awesome!! We watched the sunrise every morning from the porch….breathtaking :)

Family atmosphere

Thankful Colony Reef Club discourages party goers with the no smoking anywhere and limited drinking. Made for a quiet vacation with little shenanigans. If able, we will certainly choose 1402 again.

The condo is beautifully furnished in an eclectic beachy theme. It was very clean but needs a new master sink drain that isn't rusty. Stove and refrigerator work fine but have some rust on the doors. Very comfortable beds and seating. Beautifully view and comfortable balcony seating

Beachfront and Family Friendly

Obviously, we loved the view! We loved seeing the pelicans fly right in front of the deck several times a day. We saw a few turtles on the move during nesting season too. The boardwalk to the beach is secured and makes the short walk to the beach easy. The beach is very clean and wasnt very busy. The complex hosted food trucks several days and our kids easily made friends and played in the pool and the central yard together several days. The elevator made the 4th floor unit very manageable. We were pleasntly surprised that the complex had shoping carts and luggage trolleys to make life even easier (bringing in groceries and luggage was a breeze).

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else- disgusting

This condo had a great view of the beach and was close to historic St Augustine. Thats where the pros ended. When you walk in youre greated with a pungent, distinct mold smell. The master bathroom had thick black slime in the sink and shower. The inside of the washer was coated in black slime/mold and smelled terrible. The worst was the dishwasher. It was absolutely COVERED in black slimy substances and smelled so bad we had to open the patio door to air out the condo. The sink smelled equally bad. I did contact the office and the maintenence man came up. He scrubbed out the shower and sink and put a cleaning tablet in the dishwasher which did absolutely nothing. He said he'd come back, but never did. The thermostat would not stay on a setting so we were either freezing or sweating. The refrigerator did not have accessible settings and everything we put in it froze. The sheets do not fit the bed and pop off all night long and they are scratchy as are the old towels. The lighting in this condo is horrible also. We use vrbo rentals multiple times a year all over the country and ive never left a bad review but this place was awful. Would definitely never stay here again.
