The bright, open living area features high ceilings, wood floors, comfortable seating, and a gas fireplace for cozy evenings. Only 3 min drive, 20 min walk back to town, but out enough where it is very quiet. Kitchen is small but we easily cooked att meals. Stainless cookware was appreciated. There are lounge chairs in the shed to lay out if you want. It is up a short gravel drive, but has parking in front of house as well as side. Good value for money.

Very nice place that had exactly what we needed for a short ski trip. Easy to get around town from here with some very good views. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner but overall happy with the place

Very clean, it was really nice for our family of 5. We did get to see some mule deer roaming around the yard, and bear tracks. Which were pretty awesome. The amenities were nice, easy to get location from all of the shops and local places.

Great place to stay in Durango

This was a perfect place for my family of four to use as a home base for our trip to Durango. The property was exactly as shown in the listing and central to all our excursions.

We enjoyed our stay very much! We loved the privacy while being close to downtown. The bedrooms and living room were very comfortable. The patio seating was lovely in the evening. We would definitely stay again!

The location is great, but don't book this property in the Summer. It was unseasonably hot during our stay, and the house doesn't have central air. The description of the property didn't mention that. The host provided a portable air conditioner, but it was very inadequate. The filter was so dirty that it couldn't operate very efficiently. Even after we cleaned the filter, it was not adequate to cool the whole house when it was 100 degrees outside. There were oscillating fans for each bedroom to set in front of the windows at night, but it was still really hot when trying to sleep, until about the middle of the night. The property was not easy to find. It would have been helpful to have something attached to the mailbox to make the driveway obvious. The TV wasn't working when we got there, but the host was responsive and sent someone over the day after we checked in. We almost locked ourselves out of the house, because there wasn't a warning that when you close the door it automatically locks back. Luckily we had opened the other door, because otherwise we would have been stuck, because I left my purse and phone in the house to go unload items from the car. There are no games or puzzles or books at the house for family entertainment. A hotel would have been a cooler more enjoyable stay. I have stayed at many short-term rentals, and this was the first bad experience I have had.

Quite neat home

We enjoyed our time in Durango and to come home and relax in a nice quiet space was wonderful. Put girls loved watching the deer each morning while eating breakfast. The location is very convenient to downtown and all the local activities.

The house was clean, and had everything we needed, when we needed it. the beds were comfy, and the pillows were outstanding! Best sleep we have had on a vacation EVER! Really wonderful experience. Thank You!

Good amount of parking for larger vehicles, and secluded. 3 bedrooms that sleep 6 comfortably. Nice linens and toiletries were very appreciated. We would definitely return.

Nice Small House

House was very clean and well stocked. It is close to Fort Lewis College, but a little outside of walking distance to access downtown. The only limitation is that there is just one bath (we had 4 adults), but that was very clear from the listing. I would stay here again.

It's an OK property, not premier. Some nice views and close to downtown. However, the property has issues. Most of them are brought up in past reviews. But they go unfixed. With some time, effort, and money. You could make this a better place. And what's with the huge cleaning fee???!

Good place to stay

The property was great. We had a little hard time finding it but your directions were good. We just took a few passes. The house was comfortable and suited our needs. Beautiful location. Our only suggestion would be to turn up the hot water a little and find a way to increase the water pressure. The shower needed warmer water with more water pressure.

Family Ski Reunion

We took our adult children skiing for a week, and this house suited our needs just fine. The only glitch was the electronic door lock didn’t work when we arrived late at night. It took a little while, but we eventually got the code for the lockbox containing the keys.
