2 BR Master Wing i en Soquel hideaway

Detta är en av 2 huvudvingar i ett vackert handbyggt hem på en 5 hektar äppelodling. Vi är 4 miles från havet, men den sista milen är vår uppfart, så det finns en verklig känsla av avskildhet. Vi byggde huset med ett annat par, så huset har 2 privata huvudvingar. Våra partners flyttade till närmare sina barnbarn, så deras vinge är nu tillgänglig.

Det stora sovrummet är ganska stort. Den har en king size-säng och en soffa som blir en queen size-säng. Separering av sängarna är en gas spis. Det andra sovrummet har en dubbelsäng och en stor inbyggd skrivbord. I samma utrymme, men separerad av en rumdelare, finns det ett partiellt kök, inklusive ett underkylskåp, mikrovågsugn, induktionsbrännare, brödrost och köksartiklar.

Det enorma badrummet delas av sovrummen. Den har en dubbel fåfänga, ett privat toalettrum, en 6 fot med 6 fot duschkabin och ett överdimensionellt badkar.

Badrummet och 2: a sovrummet öppnar sig mot en privat däck. Det finns ett gravenstein äppelträd överhängande ena änden av däcken. Om du kommer stanna före mitten av augusti kan du välja färska äpplen från däck!

Had a little trouble finding the place at first but once found we had no issues. Was a beautiful property and a cozy place to stay. Jeff even offered us some delicious homemade Apple juice. The family loved it!

Geoffs place was incredible! Way more space than we needed and so beautiful. The kids loved exploring the property and picking pears from his trees. Would definitely come back if we were in the area. So many things to do and places to explore.

This place is a real gem! On a beautiful piece of land that feels “off the grid”. Very spacious (more than it seems online). Kitchen is suited for basic meals, but stocked with coffee! Owner very responsive. I’d definitely stay here again.

This is a very beautiful and spacious rental. A special California place. It has a small kitchenette and small fridge- but sufficient for basic cooking. The listing is accurate- this is the wing of a large home. It is very quiet and private, but it is attached to the owner’s home. The host was easy to communicate with, check in and check out were a breeze. It is down a long one way dirt road, but we managed it fine with our little electric car!

Fantastic funky place. Off the beaten track but peaceful and beautiful. Geoff is laid back and an excellent host. Don’t expect good phone reception as the remote location there was little to no T/Mobile signal.

Family getaway

We loved staying here. We had everything we needed and more. The house and the property are perfect; you get to be alone in your space but comfort of knowing if you need anything Geoff is there to help if you need anything or have questions. If we come back to area would love to stay again. Also you are 10-15 mins from the best bakery we’ve ever had.

Great stay!

Geoff was kind, accommodating, and very responsive. The place is bigger than anticipated and perfect for my husband and I with our 4 kids. We were juggling summer camp pick up for one child the first day and drop off for two children the following day and this place was perfect for all of us to stay. The road up to the house is as described but I was able to make it up fine in my Suburban. It’s a little scary doing it during the day so I would be very nervous making that drive at night.

First Time Visitors To Santa Cruz

Went to visit UC Santa Cruz with our daughter. What a beautiful home. Very clean with spectacular views. Geoff was so nice and helpful with recommendations. So peaceful and tranquil. Definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful home near Santa Cruz

The property is exquisite. My son said he had the best shower of his life there. The entire home is spacious and very comfortable, with everything you need handy. Our hosts were very communicative and gracious, even giving us a tour when we arrived later than we expected to. We only wish we had time to stay longer, but we would definitely return!

A Place to Rest and Unwind

My husband and adult son stayed here for four days and three nights. I chose this place because I knew we had a hectic schedule with moving my son home for the summer from Santa Clara University and celebrating my daughter's graduation from UC Santa Cruz. Geoff's place is conveniently located in Soquel, close to Santa Cruz, but away from the summer crowds. While the one-lane mile drive to the location can be a little precarious, it also lends itself to a pleasant day hike once you are settled in. We were rewarded with multiple sites of a doe and her baby, along with up close views of beautiful redwoods. Geoff is a wonderful host and available to talk about his property and display the woodworking and tapestry artistry created by him and his wife. At the same time, he gave us plenty of space to explore his property that is adjacent to a creek and a summer camp. It is more of a "rest and stay" place than a "come and go", so I recommend to bring/purchase most of your provisions before you arrive. Overall, Geoff's place fit our objectives and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Wish I had more time to spend there

We were there on a sibling gathering of 5, 50+ year olds. Just a private night together after the passing of our eldest Sister. Reminiscing, looking at childhood photos. Santa Cruz was a family weekend thing, as we were growing up together in San Jose. Even revealed some family secrets. It was perfect for us! My only regret was that in our busy Memorial Events schedule is that we, as a family, couldn't spend more time there. The surroundings were so peaceful and gorgeous.

We definitely enjoyed the property and Geoff was very kind

The property is beautiful. It’s so quiet. You can see the stars. You hear all the owls and frogs at night. They’re not atrociously loud, it’s very soothing to fall asleep to. The beds are very comfortable. My favorite was the bathtub and the apple trees. This location is remote and although you cannot locate it on GPS, it’s still worth the stay. Geoff is very helpful and I never had any issues getting a hold of him. I would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Hidden Gem

My family and I really enjoyed this gorgeous house tucked away from the area of Santa cruz. Our host Geoff kept amazing communication with us and the check in and the check out process was smooth. We alanning on revisiting for our next Santa Cruz area stay!
