Detta är en av 2 huvudvingar i ett vackert handbyggt hem på en 5 hektar äppelodling. Vi är 4 miles från havet, men den sista milen är vår uppfart, så det finns en verklig känsla av avskildhet. Vi byggde huset med ett annat par, så huset har 2 privata huvudvingar. Våra partners flyttade till närmare sina barnbarn, så deras vinge är nu tillgänglig.

Det stora sovrummet är ganska stort. Den har en king size-säng och en soffa som blir en queen size-säng. Separering av sängarna är en gas spis. Det andra sovrummet har en dubbelsäng och en stor inbyggd skrivbord. I samma utrymme, men separerad av en rumdelare, finns det ett partiellt kök, inklusive ett underkylskåp, mikrovågsugn, induktionsbrännare, brödrost och köksartiklar.

Det enorma badrummet delas av sovrummen. Den har en dubbel fåfänga, ett privat toalettrum, en 6 fot med 6 fot duschkabin och ett överdimensionellt badkar.

Badrummet och 2: a sovrummet öppnar sig mot en privat däck. Det finns ett gravenstein äppelträd överhängande ena änden av däcken. Om du kommer stanna före mitten av augusti kan du välja färska äpplen från däck!

First Time Visitors To Santa Cruz

Went to visit UC Santa Cruz with our daughter. What a beautiful home. Very clean with spectacular views. Geoff was so nice and helpful with recommendations. So peaceful and tranquil. Definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful home near Santa Cruz

The property is exquisite. My son said he had the best shower of his life there. The entire home is spacious and very comfortable, with everything you need handy. Our hosts were very communicative and gracious, even giving us a tour when we arrived later than we expected to. We only wish we had time to stay longer, but we would definitely return!

A Place to Rest and Unwind

My husband and adult son stayed here for four days and three nights. I chose this place because I knew we had a hectic schedule with moving my son home for the summer from Santa Clara University and celebrating my daughter's graduation from UC Santa Cruz. Geoff's place is conveniently located in Soquel, close to Santa Cruz, but away from the summer crowds. While the one-lane mile drive to the location can be a little precarious, it also lends itself to a pleasant day hike once you are settled in. We were rewarded with multiple sites of a doe and her baby, along with up close views of beautiful redwoods. Geoff is a wonderful host and available to talk about his property and display the woodworking and tapestry artistry created by him and his wife. At the same time, he gave us plenty of space to explore his property that is adjacent to a creek and a summer camp. It is more of a "rest and stay" place than a "come and go", so I recommend to bring/purchase most of your provisions before you arrive. Overall, Geoff's place fit our objectives and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Wish I had more time to spend there

We were there on a sibling gathering of 5, 50+ year olds. Just a private night together after the passing of our eldest Sister. Reminiscing, looking at childhood photos. Santa Cruz was a family weekend thing, as we were growing up together in San Jose. Even revealed some family secrets. It was perfect for us! My only regret was that in our busy Memorial Events schedule is that we, as a family, couldn't spend more time there. The surroundings were so peaceful and gorgeous.

We definitely enjoyed the property and Geoff was very kind

The property is beautiful. It’s so quiet. You can see the stars. You hear all the owls and frogs at night. They’re not atrociously loud, it’s very soothing to fall asleep to. The beds are very comfortable. My favorite was the bathtub and the apple trees. This location is remote and although you cannot locate it on GPS, it’s still worth the stay. Geoff is very helpful and I never had any issues getting a hold of him. I would definitely stay again.

Large appartment and well eqipped appartment in a extra-ordinary nice house which is located in the hills of Soquel. We enjoyed very much having breakfast on the spacious deck of the appartment which is surrounded by apple trees - so peaceful! You have to drive a narrow graveled road to get there - we easily managed to drive there with a very big SUV. Geoff and his wife are really nice and helpful. They also provided us some recommendations for restaurants. Our family of five really enjoyed our stay.

Secluded House close to Santa Cruz

This property is tucked away on its own private road which is not paved and a tad tight. We didn’t have any issues locating the property as the instructions the property owner gave us led us right to the correct house. If you’re looking for a nice quiet place to rest after a busy day of tourism, this is the spot without a doubt. There’s plenty of room in the house, even though the pictures make it seem like it’s a little on the smaller side, it’s very roomy. The bathroom is very big as well as the walk in shower is amazing. The host was very nice and very welcoming to his property. I’ll rebook if we ever need to visit Santa Cruz!

Beautiful oasis in Soquel

We were astonished at how beautiful this place is in person. The photos on the listing just do not convey the woodwork, the light and the peace and quiet experienced in our stay at this retreat. The road to get in is a little narrow and bumpy (I wish we'd rented a smaller car than a minivan) but the road is what allows for such a quiet oasis with such close proximity to stores and the beach. Geoff and Judy were so kind, welcoming and accommodating, we felt like family! It was a convenient drive to all of the activities we planned on doing in the region. We went to the Mystery Spot (my 7 year old loved this!), the Roaring Camp railroads and saw banana slugs, Henry Cowell redwoods and spent some time at Rio Del Mar beach. We will definitely have to come back in the fall sometime to pick apples. We loved that so many supplies were provided for us and even got a covered parking space (parking is hard to find in the Santa Cruz area! In fact, we had to pay for parking at the hotel we stayed at prior to coming to Geoff's place). P.S. Sorry again for breaking your glass. We should have used the paper pixie cups for the kids!

Beautiful home & landscape

Geoff's master woodwork can be seen all over. The land surrounding his home is absolutely beautiful and the house reflects that. We had a wonderful time!
