Find mountain rentals near Backus Woods

Thank you Rosanne for the wonderful stay! We had a geat time at the lodge. It had all the necessities we could need and the place was very spacious and comfortable. The woods in the back yard were beautiful and we took full advantage of the grill and fire pit area. The only thing I would suggest is supplying a knife sharpener. Also, the firewood was damp this time of year so we had to buy our own, but otherwise everything was great!

Enjoyed stay with my family. Private beach area was great, a little hard to access due to current sand levels. House was clean and well maintained. I would come back

We had a big family reunion and stayed here during that time. The host was very sweet and the house was perfect for us! Would definitely rent again when we come back!

We rented this place for a birthday celebration/getaway. Everything was beyond our expectations. Jaime is an incredible host. Lots of great communication and truly went over and above for us. We will definitely return!

The cottage is clean and comfortable. Close to the beach and fully stocked. Well appointed interiors. We had a great time.

This place is amazing, great views of the lake, and heated marble floors. Better than expected!

This is a unique house, for sure! Tommy, the owner/designer really created an innovative space with lots of cool features. I like the barn door-type slabs that roll out of the way. And check out the outdoor shower with the water pipe routed through the remnant trunk of a cedar tree. Tommy was very responsive with the few questions or concerns I had, like my not being able to figure out the Jacuzzi buttons to turn it on. All ultimately worked out with that, and it was quite relaxing at the end of the evening. Also soothing was looking out the clerestory window in the loft bedroom as the sun slowly lit the pale trunks of the trees on the hill behind the house, with the blue jays calling to each other. Really enjoyed my brief stay on my road trip through southern Ontario.

This truly was a 5/5 stay. Helene thought of every possible luxury one could want. It's a perfect place for a few days or a longer stay. She was extremely helpful with places to eat or visit. The gardens and view were quiet and refreshing.
