  • Convieient, Quiet, Clean, and Really Nice

"Very convienient, clean, quiet and nice. Great base for sightseeing and visiting. Surprisingly quiet and country considering how close the interstates and hotels were. We were greeted by by a rafter of wild turkeys when we arrived and again each morning. We also got to watch a white squirrel scampering through the trees. In warmer whether I'm sure we would have enjoyed sitting on the wraparound deck and enjoying the country and forested views. Had no poblem finding the place with the owners directions. The only surprise for us was that the master bathroom had no shower and no privacy partition from the bedroom itself."

  • Amazing cabin - secluded but still close to the city

"My husband and I just got back from our weekend getaway in Asheville and our stay in this beautiful home! Typically when we travel we are out-and-about all day enjoying the city we're visiting--but with our first baby on the way in just 11 short weeks, we took this time to relax. What a perfect house to enjoy our time together! We spent two nights staying in by the fire and cooking dinner and walked along the trails accessible right on the property in the mornings. Beautiful views from the porch for breakfast outside too! The location is feel secluded up in the mountains but can quickly get to downtown, the Biltmore and the Grove Park Inn (all just about 10 - 15 minutes from the home). Thank you to Patty and Brison for all the special touches (fire wood, coffee and bath products all provided along with a personal welcome note) that helped make our "baby moon" a special time for these soon-to-be parents!"

  • Nothing short of magical...

"I honestly hesitate to write a review, because I want this to be my own little secret:) I actually grew up spending all my summers on my grandparents farm further up Brushcreek & we lived with them in my middle school years when Papaw became ill. I have a long family history in Fairview so full disclosure, I am partial..for very good reason. You just don't get childhoods like that anymore..picking buckets of blackberries that Meemaw turned into cobblers & jams, roaming hillsides only comparable to The Sound of Music and fetching dinner from the lake. I've always dreamed of the day I'd get to bring my kids back to see the slice of heaven called my childhood..but didn't know how, being that my grandparents have passed away and their beautiful property long sold. When I went on VRBO, it was nothing short of a hair raising God thing that I came across this sweet stone cottage (my grandparents farm house that he built with his own hands was stone as well) ON Brushcreek..I thought it was too good to be true! Even my mom who was born and raised there, didn't know about this precious stone cottage up the sweetest dirt road at the end of the circle. I was a little disappointed that we didn't make it there before dark being that my husband isn't quite acquainted with country living:)..but as we entered the gate into this precious property, the night scene had a heavenly glow all it's own. My city boy husband instantly understood all my sentiment. The fireflies lit up the night & the goats and horses welcomed us with their sweet songs..and there was something magical about mysteriously hearing the creek babble before getting to see it in the morning. The next morning I couldn't hold the kids back from bursting outside in their pajamas, so I followed suit in mine with coffee in hand:) We were soon greeted by these special owners..Barbara was up in the barn tending to a new horse & so graciously allowed us to watch and pet. In our time there, I was able to easily explore all the surrounding land that me & my siblings, my mom, grandparents and great grandparents roamed as children..with my own kids, husband & mom..but looked forward to returning to this precious real working farm each day! I am forever grateful for our divine meeting with this special couple & that they so generously share their hearts and home with others..allowing me my up most precious memories with my kids to date. Thank you Barbara and Tom, from the bottom of my heart, thank you."

  • Great getaway!

"Great spot for a girls' weekend getaway. Frank was very accommodating and easy to work with in setting up the rental. The house was cozy and comfortable-- all as advertised and very well outfitted for cooking, take-out, or just relaxing. We were a party of 4 but the home could easily and comfortably handle many more. Frank's recommendations for local eateries and his help setting up in-home massages were excellent! Highly recommend!!"
