  • Quaint and Cozy

"My husband and I stayed here over Memorial Day with our 3 month old baby girl as our first family getaway. The home is a little off the beaten path but we enjoyed seeing the turkeys, ducks, and horses. The home is well equipped and fit our needs. We did have to bring a pack-n-play for our baby to sleep in and that made the space pretty tight in the bedroom. It's a prefect tiny house for a couple or a small family. We enjoyed that we were away from the hustle and bustle but it didn't take us long to get to local attractions. We visited the arboretum, Sierra Nevada Brewery, and downtown."

  • Rain didn't ruin our stay!!!

"CiCi was extremely accommodating! We overlooked the line in her email that stated how to get in. When we arrived we called her and she was at the house within minutes to help. The cabin was beautiful and clean! There were plenty of dishes to make meals at the cabin. We BBQ one day and the gas grill work flawlessly. We had our 9 m/o and 2.5 y/o boys. They had a great time exploring inside and outside. There is a nice big yard for them to play. Just be careful to watch the little ones near the creeks. Unfortunately it was a little chilly and rainy for creek. Weaverville is a nice quiet town with everything you'd need without having to go to Asheville if you don't want to. Asheville was a short 15-20minute drive. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short 4 mile drive. I did morning bike rides up ox creek (try and stay off reems creek) to the BRP and from there you can do a 24 mile loop to town or just cruise on the parkway. There was plenty of climbing and scenery to keep anyone happy. Overall from a cyclist and dads point of view I wouldn't have changed a thing. We had a great time. Thanks CiCi!!!!"

  • Clean, fully stocked, and a beautiful setting!

"We had an excellent stay at the Catwalk Cottage. We arrived late at night, but it was easy to locate and was lovely to have the lights, music, and heat on when we arrived. We were pleased to see they had everything we needed for a comfortable 3-night stay, from basic paper supplies, spices and cooking oil to towels, sheets, and extra blankets. They even had a small crockpot, which was a real treat and let us go out to enjoy our day but come home to a meal ready to go. We made good use of the grill the following night as well. The location is beautiful and relaxing, and though it was a bit cold for us to enjoy being outside, we enjoyed the views through the windows. The beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of space for the four adults, my daughter, and my infant (who slept in the pack-n-play we brought). Our hosts were friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and they include numerous local magazines and pamphlets of the area and things to do in the home. Access to local stores is easy, and it's located within a reasonable drive to just about everything we'd want to do or visit in the Asheville area. Check-in and check-out were both a breeze, and we were simply thrilled with our stay. We will be back in the future!"

  • Wonderful vacation!

"This was our third stay at the Heavenly Hideaway Cabin and we can't say enough about it. It is nicely appointed and rustic with lots of custom woodwork. We absolutely love it there and plan to come back. The cabin is always clean when we arrive. It is quiet, peaceful perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We really enjoy sitting on the back porch and listening to the birds. The first night of our stay we had an awesome storm hit that made for some great sleeping weather. The hot tub is quite inviting once the temperature starts to go down in the evening. We love taking walks around the property to see the cows and the pond. And we like to feed the chickens our scraps, they are such characters. The blueberries were extra tasty this year! I think this was our best visit so far because we had our visit planned out just right and knew what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. We did just the right amount of sightseeing and just the right amount of relaxing! We highly recommend the hike up to Chimney Rock...it is well worth the sore calves the next day. We found a great restaurant called Vinnie's...also well worth ride into town as it is away from all the touristy areas. Thanks for the great stay Janet :) Hope to see you again soon!"
