  • Wonderful vacation!

"This was our third stay at the Heavenly Hideaway Cabin and we can't say enough about it. It is nicely appointed and rustic with lots of custom woodwork. We absolutely love it there and plan to come back. The cabin is always clean when we arrive. It is quiet, peaceful perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We really enjoy sitting on the back porch and listening to the birds. The first night of our stay we had an awesome storm hit that made for some great sleeping weather. The hot tub is quite inviting once the temperature starts to go down in the evening. We love taking walks around the property to see the cows and the pond. And we like to feed the chickens our scraps, they are such characters. The blueberries were extra tasty this year! I think this was our best visit so far because we had our visit planned out just right and knew what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. We did just the right amount of sightseeing and just the right amount of relaxing! We highly recommend the hike up to Chimney Rock...it is well worth the sore calves the next day. We found a great restaurant called Vinnie's...also well worth ride into town as it is away from all the touristy areas. Thanks for the great stay Janet :) Hope to see you again soon!"

  • Peaceful & Perfect

"The drive up the mountain was a beautiful adventure & we had no problem with a 4wd pick up (per the clear directions). The cabin was clean and neat & decorated well. The kitchen had everything we could have possible needed. The bedroom was relaxing and the bed was cozy! We loved the rustic feel combined with the chandelier in the bathroom. The hot tub under the stars couldn't have been more romantic or soothing. It, also, was clean and in wonderful working order. The glider rocker on the porch was the perfect reading spot for quiet, fresh air, and wildlife. For those who reviewed previously & had trouble comprehending that one needs a 4wd to get up a mountain or understanding that in the wilderness there might be bugs, I think you may be suffering from 1st world problems. For those who couldn't manage to stay warm with their spouse during a romantic get away, you're doing it wrong! It was a great vacation and we hope to be back soon!"

  • Highly Recommend!

"I stayed in the cottage this past weekend with some friends. We went for a "mom's weekend away" and it was truly a great experience. The hosts were extremely polite and pleasant and very hospitable. They made sure we had all we needed and provided some great recommendations of restaurants in the area. I would gladly rent this place again or the B&B that is on the same property. I highly recommend it to anyone considering it. The cottage is very small (thus, a cottage) but was very comfortable for myself and my 3 friends."

  • Cute, cozy and comfy place!

"The apartment was VERY comfortable, especially the beds. Loved the toiletries in the bathroom, they smelled wonderful. Though it was not used, the kitchen was well equipped for making meals. The location is interesting. The apartment itself is in the parking lot shared with 3 small businesses. Over the weekend, it was quiet. Monday morning though, whoever went into the outside storage closet to pull out and put back the garbage cans was EXTREMELY loud for the person staying in the king bed room, especially when they yelled over to someone not in their vicinity. This happened at 630am. Entering and leaving the lots was fairly smooth as long as you went out the exit where the street light is. Minutes away from the quaint restaurants of West Asheville and barely a 10 minute drive to downtown. Overall, conveniently located. I would stay here again...though maybe avoid a Monday morning :) Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely apartment!"
