  • Property was in great location away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and city noise.

"House was as advertised and has been kept up in good shape. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. We had a party of four couples who have known each other for almost fifty years and we had a great, relaxing time. We never turned on a TV and spent a good deal of time in the living room and out on the large back deck. Location of the property is perfect if you want to be close to civilization but not too far from restaurants and downtown Asheville. Road to the property was rather steep and gravelly. Not recommended for stay if snow is in the forecast."

  • Cold Mountain Retreat

"We visited the home with two other couples in October as the leaves were just beginning to brighten and the air was wonderfully cool. My sister and her family had been there a couple of years ago in May and highly recommended the property, however, I must say, it still exceeded our expectations. I have rented homes numerous times on VRBO, but this with the surrounding property was special. One of our friends is an avid fly fisherman and was delighted by the trout pond. There was an added treat in that there was a golf course across the road. I love photography and the property and it's streams provided me with endless opportunities. The kitchen is well stocked and the high end appliances were put to good use by our gourmet cook. We sat on the porch, watched the sunset, drank a few bottles of excellent wine and enjoyed the company of wonderful friends. It doesn't get much better. We were sad to say goodbye."

  • Location Location!

"This lovely cottage was close to everything on our bucket list. Safe neighborhood and comfy accommodations. The owners were a joy to work with. Why would anyone want to stay in a. Stuffy hotel?"

  • Nice cabin - close in

"This is a really nice cabin that is very close to downtown Asheville. It is a very easy drive up Town Mountain to get to the location with only a few twist and turns. The cabin is very close to other cabins and this one shares a drive with one right up the hill. They have to back down the hill and try to turn around where you are parked. There are no views to speak of as the trees block your view. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and cookware. There is plenty of paper products and cleaning supplies. Well supplied as compared to others I have visited. Please be careful upon entering the unit as there is a wood stove right in the front door and there is a cement block base that you will trip over until you get used to walking through the room and not stumping your toe. Also be careful in the shower as the cold water handle is installed backwards so when you think you are turning down the cold it gets really hot fast."
