  • Very comfortable but kitchen was not well stocked. Could have used more utensils and bowls.

"It was clean and furnishings were well appointed. It was nice to have plenty of towels and bathroom supplies available."

  • Pleasant secluded cabin

"The road to the cabin is steep in places, which could pose a challenge to some cars, but the reward is at the end of the road! The cabin was well stocked with wood, cooking essentials, etc. The authentic logs gave the cabin a rustic feel than cannot be duplicated with modern cabin kits. The screened in porch allows you to experience the quiet surroundings. The air was cool even with high temps in the valley and we were able to comfortably sit by the fireplace in July. Asheville is close, you can be downtown in minutes. Recommended!"

  • Wonderful property in the hills of a great town

"We felt at home immediately in the open floor plan, allowing us to gather as a family no matter what we were doing. If we wanted some privacy we could go upstairs to the loft, or outside on the deck. With table and chairs on one end, and rocking chairs along the remaining length, we could watch the most beautiful sunsets. There were two boxes filled with ideas for dining and things to do in and near Asheville. We laughed at the bear warning literature, until our last day, when we actually did spot a small black bear a couple of houses away. This house had everything we needed to cook our meals and clean up after ourselves. The proximity to town was so convenient and made our daily adventures easy to plan. I would love to stay here again when I come back to Asheville. It's a lovely town, with friendly people, and incredible hiking."
