  • Great Place

"My husband and I stayed here and would highly recommend it to anyone. George was very friendly and accommodating, the views amazing, and the apartment comfortable and clean. We saw about 6 to 8 turkeys walking around. First place I will check for availability the next time we return to Asheville."

  • A very special place

"The Laurel is an outstanding home. It is beautifully furnished and generously provisioned with necessities not often found in rental homes. The surrounding property is gorgeous and views just melt your tensions away. We shared the home with our son, his wife and our granddaughters (9 and 13) and there was plenty of room. We did some hiking around the property and we enjoyed many games of Scattergories - what a great game! The extra folding table we found in the garage came in handy for doing our jig saw puzzles - a family tradition. We made a trip to Waynesville and the girls loved the Mast General Store and the candy. Another day we drove in to the Pisgah National Forest and visited Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Falls and the Discovery Center. Both of these trips were lovely. Our favorite activity was just relaxing on the porch watching the Barn Swallows and then, later in the evening, the fireflies. The girls do not have fireflies at home so that was a real treat for them. It would have been perfection if we had been able to bring our Westie with us. She would have loved it! Thanks for sharing this wonderful spot."

  • Like home

"My husband, dog and I spent from mid-October through November at the Mint Cottage. We really enjoyed staying in a place that felt like home. We work remotely, so the house was a perfect size for us. We used the 2nd and 3rd rooms/ bedrooms as offices. We loved the backyard. Even though you are walking distance to downtown Asheville, the backyard makes you feel like you are far from town. The property backs up to a creek and a wooded area. We loved the location. You can walk to the grocery store (there are two!), the Asheville Yoga Center, High Five coffee, and a few restaurants (HomeGrown, Luella's BBQ). It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk to downtown and it is hilly. We loved this area so much that we moved into the house right next door! So, please feel free to say hello if you stay at the Mint Cottage! We are in the bright blue house :)"

  • Fantastic Cabin!

"I took my kids, their spouse/significant others and a grandchild to Asheville and we spent 3 wonderful days at the Busbee Cabin. It was so comfortable and had everything we needed. And everything was immaculately clean. I loved that we felt like we were tucked away in some remote mountains, but only took about 10 minutes to get to downtown Asheville and was convenient to everyplace we wanted to go.. We will definitely be back."
