  • My first trip in a cabin

"I have always dreamed of a vacation in a log cabin. This was my first time and I truly enjoyed every minute of it. Everything you needed for a comfortable stay was provided. It was very clean and very comfortable. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful get away."

  • Peace and Quiet

"Cozy cottage with everything we needed, tucked into the trees in a quiet residential neighborhood. Homey decorations and a nice deck bring instant relaxation. There's even a gate (in the closet) to close off the deck so little ones (kids, canines) can stay safe. There's a designated parking spot on the cul-de-sac so our car was out of harm's way. Nice neighborhood for walking our dog and downtown is just a few minutes drive away. The mattress is new and very plush foam. SO comfy!! We'll definitely come back!! The owners are friendly but not intrusive so you have lots of privacy, and they have a sweet friendly dog. We had no problems at all. Our little dog stayed with us and enjoyed the deck (with safety gate). There was room for her play pen in the living room so we could keep her safe (bad back, can't let her jump on furniture) while we were out. one morning a squirrel stopped by to drink from a water garden on the deck and many birds sang to us from the hemlocks. There is a flight of stairs to get to the cottage on the second floor so this place wouldn't work for anyone who can't get up a flight of stairs, but is great for anyone without mobility issues."

  • Sunset Ridge is named perfectly!

"We wanted to spend a week at a restful mountain retreat with long range and sunset views - Sunset Ridge really delivered on our wish list! The views are breath taking and at night you see very few lights so it seems like you are sitting in the middle of your own private mountain range! The unit is very private and the deck is massive and wants for nothing. We didn't take advantage of the hot tub because after a day of hiking at Chimney Rock, BRP, or enjoying Asheville in 90 degree temps (unusual heat wave) it was too hot for us. But we did peak at it and it looked crystal clear and very inviting. The unit was very well appointed and had anything and everything you could want. Very, very comfortable and also nicely decorated. Oh and spotless clean as well! We saw dear and other small wildlife from the deck and would love to come back and take advantage of the really pretty outside sitting area and fire pit. Sunset Ridge is close to everything the Asheville area has to offer. Someone mentioned the drive up to the house and yes there is about 1000 feet of gravel but is very doable and not bad at all for a regular car, didn't bother us at all and so worth it. Liz and Tony are great hosts and we so enjoyed meeting both of them. Liz is only a quick text away if you need anything or have any questions. We definitely want to stay at Sunset Ridge again!"

  • Great Home Base to Explore Asheville & the Region

"Bridgett was a fantastic, welcoming host and the cottage was perfect for a couple. It's well-stocked with a kitchenette and linens are provided. The street is safe with plenty of parking available. Montford is within walking distance to downtown (we walked there and ubered back), and West Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway were an easy drive. We ate at Curate (amazing tapas, make reservations or go early), the Admiral (easily the best meal of our lives - again, make reservations well ahead of time!), Sunny Point and Early Girl for breakfast, hiked Graveyard Field/the lower and upper Falls, and visited 6-7 breweries. (Pisgah, a drive out of town, has concerts on-site.) Asheville was amazing."
