  • Great house and especially if you wish to avoid lots of stairs!

"We really enjoyed our stay at this home. It is especially nice because there are only 3 easy to manage steps to the porch and there are 3 nice bedrooms and two full baths on this main floor. If you want to avoid stairs this home is ideal as so many mountain homes have several sets of stairs. There is also a loft with a queen bed which is accessed by an absolutely beautiful wooden spiral staircase but having the 3 bedrooms on the main floor is ideal for many travelers. The kitchen is fully equiped and there is a large dining table as well as two smaller kitchen tables. The views are awesome! There is a huge porch with two covered areas, chairs and a dining table on the porch overlooking an incredible view. There is a wonderful fireplace and a woodpile for a small extra fee. Well worth it...the open fire really added to the ambiance. The home is beautifully furnished and the owner was easily accessible if we needed anything. She called to make sure we had arrived. The home has wireless internet which worked well. I'd definitely stay here again! The drive into Asheville is very reasonable...about 25 minutes to get to the Biltmore Estate. There are two nice Publix grocery stores not too far away, en route. There is a local smaller grocery store a couple of miles away."

  • Comfy, Clean, and Close to Downtown

"We loved this Asheville home! Everything was comfortable and clean upon arrival. Two nice-sized bedrooms, one queen and one king. Cable/WiFi worked perfectly. Well-stocked kitchen. Washer and dryer in the basement. Nice, safe neighborhood. We met several neighbors during our stay and they were all so warm and friendly and eager to offer restaurant and shopping suggestions. My only recommendation would be a new coffee maker, but everything else worked great. Maria was pleasant, easy to work with, and responded immediately whenever we communicated. This home is about 1.5 miles from downtown, so a little too far to walk but certainly an easy drive. We did not get to enjoy the deck because it was a little chilly during our trip, but I can imagine it's a lovely place to enjoy the beautiful sunset with a glass of wine or tea. Seriously, I think Asheville is my new favorite city and we will definitely stay in this home next time we visit!"
