  • Absolutely incredible home- far exceeds expectations!

"As an owner of 4 different VRBO rental properties, I know how difficult it is to meet the expectations of discerning vacationers. I must say, this cottage was a delightful change from the "norm" of rental property. It was impeccably clean, well decorated, stocked to include 99% of what you would need- whether for a weekend or a month-long stay. The towels were high quality and every bathroom amenity was equally above the quality standard of even a 4 star hotel. The sheets were spa quality and incredibly soft and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and there were little "extras" everywhere- dish soap, detergent, new sponges, trash bags, soaps and a full line of luxury, natural toiletries- even a couple toothbrushes and travel toothpaste... in case you forgot yours! I am always impressed by robes and extra towels and was not disappointed to find both upon arrival. I travel often (30+ weekends a year), so I have experienced a lot of rental and hotel properties and have high standards relative to my vacation homes... this home was a delightful surprise and felt like I had decorated/stocked it myself. You have made a fan of this discerning renter....I will be back!! :-)"

  • Great weekend in Asheville

"Really nice cabin that is very convenient to downtown Asheville. We stayed there with our three kids. Very cozy and clean. Deck/porch is a great place to relax with a drink . The hot tub is spacious and well maintained. Would recommend the property to others."

  • Wonderful, large house close to Asheville

"This is an amazing house! Our group of 13 adults and 12 kids (ages 10 to 13 months) stayed at the lodge for 3 nights, and it could not have been any better. There is plenty of space to spread out, a large and well-stocked kitchen, and beautiful views from the front porch. The lodge is about a 10-15 minute drive to Asheville, and about 5 minutes from the grocery. There are also some fun and easy hiking trails right behind the property. As other reviewers note, the gravel road can seem a little intimidating at first, but we didn't have any problems. We unanimously agreed that we will be back!"

  • Cozy home with everything you need for your stay

"I had the most wonderful experience staying at Mint Cottage. I felt so comfy, cozy and at home there. You really just need to bring you clothes and toothbrush - well I brought my Keurig (never leave home without it). The area is perfect to walk downtown in about 20 minutes. The neighboorhood restaurants are fantastic too. Be sure to try Homegrown - best southern fried chichen, Vinnie's - best Italian. And don't forget to walk a block to "Ultimate Icecream". I made that walk a few too many times!!! Thank you Meryl for making your home feel like my home too. You can be sure I'll be back next summer."
