  • Our little cabin in the woods

"We enjoyed our stay at Blueberry Hill cabin. The cabin was very comfortable and welcoming. I came here with my 2 adult children so having 3 queen beds was a plus! The beds were comfortable too. Whoever sleeps in the upstairs loft will hear any movement downstairs though. The highlights were the wild turkeys that linger on the property and the hot tub on the back deck. We enjoyed a nice soak in the hot tub, listening to a pouring rain on the metal roof! And of course, nearby Asheville is one of our favorite places to visit! We would definitely recommend this place and hopefully will be back."

  • Nice week in Asheville

"We enjoyed our week at " Our House". As previous reviews have noted the location is very central to the Blue Ridge Parkway (great for all you fellow hikers) as well as close enough to downtown ( about 15-20 minutes). We however did find ourselves in the car very frequently as we were in town every day ( sometimes twice a day). So if you plan to spend a good amount of time in town you may want to look for a place a bit closer; doing so however you will loose the serenity that "Our House" has to offer. We enjoyed the outdoor fire almost every night as well as the hot tub. Deck was a wonderful place for morning coffee. Larger bedroom in the basement is without windows or dressers however. My daughters a bit uncomfortable staying down there at first ~ they did adjust as the week progressed. They did have to live out of their suitcases as there was no place to "unpack". Not a big deal but just a heads up. Nice property. Spacious."

  • Wonderful, large house close to Asheville

"This is an amazing house! Our group of 13 adults and 12 kids (ages 10 to 13 months) stayed at the lodge for 3 nights, and it could not have been any better. There is plenty of space to spread out, a large and well-stocked kitchen, and beautiful views from the front porch. The lodge is about a 10-15 minute drive to Asheville, and about 5 minutes from the grocery. There are also some fun and easy hiking trails right behind the property. As other reviewers note, the gravel road can seem a little intimidating at first, but we didn't have any problems. We unanimously agreed that we will be back!"

  • Beautiful, cozy, immaculate chalet

"I will agree with the glowing reviews of Jean-Jacques' wonderful retreat. We found it to be immaculately clean (yay!!) and cozy with beautiful craftsmanship in all the finishings. I took pictures to use as inspiration for a future remodel! So nice to have towels, linens, soaps and paper goods provided. Although my husband's conference was at the Grove Park Inn where most attendees stayed, we preferred something more private with a kitchen and access to nature and this place fit the bill beautifully. It was a bonus that we could bring our pooch with us! And the bonus that I didn't anticipate was the sighting of a mama bear with 3 cubs in tow crossing a nearby road one morning while out on a walk! Tips for future visitors--be sure to find out from Jean-Jacques where to pick up the trails because it is not obvious; if you want to dine nearby I highly recommend the Copper Crown; and if you're thirsty, check out Highland Brewery, also not far away."
