  • Fantastic Place!!!

"Fantastic place (Very clean and newly renovated with new appliances and furnishings)!! Exceeded our expectations. Great location within walking distance of many good eateries and brew pubs. Nice little coffee shop across the street. Owner was very polite, friendly, and accommodating (Provided us with in-door storage for our two road bikes)! Most definitely we will rent this place and location again next year. Thanks, Ray. Sincerely, Trent and Kim"

  • Easy walking

"This home is better than most when it comes to renting in the winter. The windows are newer, floors and kitchen have been redone, and the bathrooms are great. Owner is continually making improvements. We would recommend weather stripping to prevent cold air from coming into the house or newer, better doors, something we believe that the owner is committed to. South French Broad is a somewhat busy street at certain times of the day, but at night we found it quiet. The location is interesting in that you are right near the new middle school and some transitional homes; a very eclectic area and less than a mile to the art district, Grove Arcade, and groceries (Hoopey). We walked it every day for two months. I would recommend a few improvements in lighting, kitchen cabinets, side tables and dressers in bedrooms; easy fixes that the owner is planning on. NIce unfenced backyard or use the invisible fence for pets in the front yard. The neighbors are friendly; one having a really cute dog named "Grizzly". The parks are nearby; some require a short drive. Bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable; a high end futon,, another tempur pedic, the flat panel TV's are big and in each bedroom. Bedrooms and bathrooms were the best we've been in older homes the last 6 years coming to Asheville in the winter. The house stays warm on very cold days. Finally, a lot of older homes are used as rentals and very little improvements are made. They only want your money. This is not the case with this home. With the small improvements we mentioned, this home is perfect for people who want to be near all the excitement. It's a gem when it comes to older homes showing how improvements can make your stay more comfortable. It was our best rental property in the many times we have stayed in Asheville."
