  • family spring break

"Our family of six stayed at Flying Fish for a spring break to Asheville. We found the house to be exactly as described. It was spacious, well decorated, very well stocked and exceptionally clean. The views from the wall of windows was stunning and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the woodburning fireplace, the grill and the pool table. The drive to downtown Asheville, the Biltmore and the Blue Ridge Parkway were about 20 minutes (with no steep or scary roads). Sharon was easy to work with and quickly returned our security deposit. I highly recommend this rental for an Asheville vacation."

  • Lovely mountain and city vacation cottage.

"This cozy cottage suited our family just perfectly. So much so that we even extended our stay for one more night. We drove to downtown every day (10 minutes) or went on a glorious hike up the mountain (30 min drive)."

  • Amazing Views in a Perfect Spot

"Usually I look forward to mostly the food in Asheville, but this time we were anticipating staying in this home as well! We were deciding between staying downtown in a small loft or this home where we were close enough to downtown, but had plenty of space for 5 adults. There is so much detail and design that went into this home that I would love to hear the story behind it all. Easy to find from downtown and probably could walk it. Very spacious living and dining areas and well equipped kitchen. One bedroom upstairs and two downstairs -- all with a view of downtown and the mountains and excellent bedding and linens. Owner is very helpful and responsive (had an internet issue of which he looked into immediately). What an experience to enjoy this place for a few days -- thank you for sharing your home with us!"

  • Phenomenal!

"A new bar has been set for cabin/cottage rentals and the bar has been set HIGH! My wife, 2 kids (7 and almost 3) stayed in Willow Cottage (and please, call it a cottage - "cabin" does not do it justice!) for 8 nights at the end of April. From the moment we entered the front door, we couldn't get over details, furnishings, layout, grounds, etc., etc. My 7-year old daughter felt as though she were a princess in her very own castle and my almost 3-year old son loved running around the grounds. During the day, the back patio was the perfect place to sit and relax with a book while the kids played in the sandbox and backyard. Even with temps in the 80s (warm for our Ohio blood) we were kept cool by the roof, fan, and stone patio. And in the evening, we would light a fire and enjoy a glass of wine (just the adults). With the amount of activities to do onsite, we never felt the need to "get out and do something." We could wander up the hill for a hike, play by the river, fish, or play games in the huge fields. We cooked great breakfasts during the day, grilled out for dinner, and made plenty of s'mores. The dark night skies (NO light from any town) were aglow by thousands of stars and since I brought my telescope, we were able to get some great views of Jupiter and the moon. The location is fantastic since it's only about 15-20 minutes to Wayensville and other locations. Waynesville has some nice shops, art galleries, and restaurants (try Chef's Table - great food). We made two trips up to the Pisgah Inn (once for breakfast and once for lunch) along the Blue Ridge Parkway (only about 25 minutes away). The BRP is close and the drive is great. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this location. One of the best vacations we had in a long time. Thanks!"
