  • Update, clean, quiet home

"We enjoyed the house, it was just as advertised, well stocked, very clean and quiet. The home was larger than I expected, the room off the back with the futon served as a third bedroom. Nice house, long walk downtown but Uber is only about $6, so it all worked out well. Great weekend for our family & friend."

  • As advertised!

"I would definitely rent this property again. The location is very good - 15 minutes from most things in Asheville, but a feeling of being away in the mountains. Our family enjoyed the living room with its comfortable furniture (love the swivel chair!), views, and beautiful stone fireplace. We have small dogs, and liked that there are 2 fenced in areas, and little carpeting. Excellent laundry room, home office/dining area, large master bath with private toilet area, good seating on the deck, good parking. The house does have some quirks - like the very hot water that comes out of the cold tap in the bathroom, and it has an "updated 90s" vibe- man made countertops mixed with granite, new sink/old cabinetry etc. They also need to replace the ceiling light in the master bedroom because it makes the corner storage space very dark. The kitchen was pretty well equipped, but we missed having a griddle. We liked the stools at the island with good access to plugs for charging devices - good morning hangout space. The bottom floor is rented out, but the renters were friendly. I would bring extra towels - only the minimum is provided. I highly recommend this property."

  • Peaceful, relaxing, owners friendly, helpful and super nice.

"This little cabin said "welcome" from the time we entered. It is located near so many beautiful sights near and around Asheville N.C. So peaceful and relaxing. We stayed six nights and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend if looking for stress free time and love being with nature, this is the place. Kathy and Larry Miller"

  • Quaint cottage close to everything

"My family had a great time in Asheville this year and mostly because we were so close to the city as well as the Blue Ridge parkway. The cottage was great and had everything we needed. Very open main living space made it feel much larger than the square footage. We have a 9 month old and there are steps to the master bedroom and bath so we just kept the door closed. The back deck is relaxing in the morning it helps to remind you that your on vacation and to relax :) Black Mountain is a neat little town that has everything you need and I recommend eating at Trailhead if you get the chance. As a quick tip they ask that you change the dehumidifier once per day I would actually recommend doing it twice once in the morning and once at night it really helps. We'll definitely keep this cottage on mind on future trips to Asheville."
