  • Really lovely villa!

"We really enjoyed staying at this newly built villa. It has a lovely view out to the lake and Darkwood beach. The road to the villa is quite bumpy - but this is common in Antigua. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable to stay in with good sized bedrooms, and a lovely open kitchen lounger area upstairs with outside eating area. It will be even nicer once the garden has grown to be green again and the other plot has been built on - we did not use the pool much as lovely beaches were so close. It was a great spot to be able to explore the rest of the island from. The owners and managers were very helpful providing information for our holiday and making us feel very welcome."

  • Lovely villa

"Would like to say massive thank you to Danielle this villa lived up to our expectation villa was adult and toddler friendly we travelled with a active soon to be 2 year old.... I've been travelling back to Antigua for the past 10years and this is one of the best accommodation I've stayed in. Communication with Danielle was great and easy and she was always willing to answer any question I had leading up to travel. Payment was Easy and straight forward. Had a few problems with water but HBK fixed these problems as soon as reported and also provided us with a cleaning service because of these problems. Have to thank them as well as no problem was a issue Only negative point I have is that the patio door needs fixing but thats just minor problem I would happily stay in anyone of Danielle villa's my aunt stayed in another one and again the standard in her villa was good Thank you again. • Overwhelming!

"Our family visit to Antigua started with a great driver JR who had plenty of space for 8 of us and our bags. When he pulled up in front of Villa Sull Oceano, we were pleased to see our 2 - 4 seater golf carts in the driveway that we had ordered in advance. We were already impressed when we entered the penninsula this home is situated on, with a number of very pleasant check-point people along the way. Where JR parked for us to exit the van, the first glance through the rod iron gates almost took your breath away!! We could see right through the entrance all the way through the center living area through to the ocean that would become our private beach for the next week. Tamara was there to greet us and welcome us as well as acquaint us with this unbelievable home. We were toured through the bedrooms each beautifully appointed complete with individual ensuites. Each of our 4 couples staked claim to the suite they thought would best suit them. The last bedroom on the tour was the master bedroom that is beach front and pool side with two sets of sliding doors to either exposure with a patio overlooking the sea. The master ensuite has double sinks and double rain-head showers, a large bath, even a bidet in the reading room. Each bedroom had individual Air Conditioning units and fans as well as flat-screens even though watching anything on TV was the furthest from any of our minds. The kitchen is massive with dual pull out fridge drawers, a wine fridge, and another beer/drink/water fridge across from it as well as a large SS regular type fridge with water and ice features. 3 sinks including the long trough style bar sink, and dual dishwashers too. All beautifully appointed with granite and ceramic, and cupboards and drawers a'plenty, it was a lot of fun cooking and working in this kitchen, and Chef Wakefield who cooked for us one night had everything conceivable to work with. The large dining table outside was great in accommodating our entire family, and the other tables and bar area served well to keep us all very comfortable as we enjoyed the pool and the good number of chaise lounges. The beach, although public might as well have been our own private beach, visited by only a rare walker or jogger on the way by. Noreen was a remarkable housekeeper!! We will be back for sure to Jolly Harbour and if our group remains the same size, we will definitely come back to Villa Sull Oceano. Memorable, unforgettable, and highly recommended."

  • Perfect for our family holiday & lovely owners

"The house was bigger than I had imagined from the photos. I was pleased there was mesh on all the windows to keep the mosquitos at bay. For the price of a taxi we were met at the airport by the owners parents who went out of their way to settle us in. There was Wi Fi at the property and a welcome hamper with milk & bread. We could easily walk down to Darkwood beach which has a bar, food, umbrellas & sun loungers. The bus stop is at Darkwood so for only £1 each we could get a bus to Jolly Harbour (supermarket & beach) and St Johns. The small village of Urlings is a 5 min bus ride in the other direction and has local bakery and local restaurants at much cheaper prices than the usual tourist spots. I would recommend Chappy at Seaview Lawn Restaurant for great food if you like local (if you want sophisticated, then it isn't for you). I would definitely recommend this property and think its great value for money."
