Why the Owner Chose Ormond Beach
We love Ormond Beach - the quiet, calm nature of the area. And this property is in a perfect location - a quick walk to the beach. When we want more activity, we jump in the car and drive down the road to Daytona Beach or to Orlando.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The house has a great lay-out. The master bedroom is ultra-relaxing with the king sized bed and a nice shower. The flat screen tv with cable and DVD player in the bedroom means you can lay in bed and watch movies, too! The kitchen is ready for cooking - we cook a lot when we are here! There is nothing nicer than sleeping in, grinding some fresh coffee beans, and drinking a nice cup of coffee while playing a board game or reading the paper. The living room and dining room INVITE conversation. They are fun to hang out in! The guest room has twin beds and is nice and comfy. The second bathroom has a skylight right over the tub - ahhhhhh. The backyard is a great place to hang out and eat, sunbathe, chat, and relax. It is a super house!
Great new grocery store coming fall/winter 2009! Restaurant in the same mall, plus a discount Bealls store.
Super tasty hot dogs. New owners so we cannot vouch for it (July 2011) but it was our favorite before being sold.

We like to use VRBO when we go on vacation - it is a great way to find unique places to stay at great prices. We always end up in homes that are much better than your average, boring hotel!

This is just the perfect little get-away place. It's bright and cheery, close to grocery and beach. Everything you could want or need. It has ample space to play and relax. All you need to bring is your swim suit and play clothes.

My husband & I spent a week at the Hibiscus House in July 2009. A very clean, bright & cheery place. I loved the way the owners have a book of FUN THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA. Not only that, but they also list places that are close to eat at, the library, grocery stores, shopping & more which includes phones numbers & times of operation for all the businesses listed. It took some time to put together a book like that. The beach is close & not a real busy place. Very relaxing. And Daytona is not far so I recommend spending a day or 2 there also. You may be lucky enough to see a space shuttle lift off too!! And the neighbors are extra friendly & helpful if you have any questions. FIVE STARS for the HIBISCUS HOUSE!!

We had a terrific time at the cottage on Hibiscus Street in Ormond Beach. The home is bright, cheerful and spacious. The little touches around the home make it so much more enjoyable than staying in a hotel. We were able to ride the bikes to the grocery store and cook meals in the well-equipped kitchen. The beach is just a short walk away and is rather quiet and private....just what we were looking for! It was nice to come back to the house and use the outdoor shower to wash away sand and salt. It is also an easy drive to Disney World, Kennedy Space Center, and other tourist attractions. We give the beach cottage two thumbs up!
