  Being first-time VRBO-ers, we were really nervous about being disappointed in the place or pictures not quite being an accurate view of the current state if the place. This place far exceeded our expectations in overall niceness of the property, cleanliness, and extra amenities offered. The bedroom had been updated with a king bed since the pictures were last taken, making the bedroom feel much more luxurious. The kitchen area is small, but more than adiquate. I would say that guests should plan ahead and think of anything they might need (if planning to cook) that could possibly not be supplied. We brought a versatile knife and a large saucepan. They did have salt and pepper, but all other condiments should be brought or plan on buying it. We loved that the casita was out of the city limits, making it feel secluded, private, and romantic. Having an awesome view at the stars on a clear night from the hot tub was an unexpected treat. One word of advice on the door handle: it is easy to understand the mechanism once you have conquered it. I would have the email handy when first attempting to enter the casita and allow it to talk you through getting it open. It's very different! I cannot wait to stay here again and have been recommending it highly to friends!

  Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was very clean and quality of furniture, amenities, bedding, etc. were extremely nice. It's a nice, short drive to town. Our only complaints were that we were not made aware that the hot tub was very small (made just for two people) and that it was not so pleasant to walk our dog around the area because of all the other dogs in the area. It also would have been helpful to know which side of the street to find the casita (since even-numbered properties are on both sides of the street). Otherwise everything was just as we expected.

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I rented the Casita through the Christmas holidays because of close the proximity to the large house on the same property, which we rented for our children and grandchildren and our family Christmas gatherings. The views were amazing, and the casita itself was cozy, clean and well-appointed. The drive to The Plaza was brief and convenient yet the property was private and out of the rush of the city. We really enjoyed our stay!

The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the Casita Nomad for three evenings in December. It is a very comfortable one bedroom detached home in the hills overlooking the mountains. It is roughly 3 miles from downtown but a really easy drive. The hot tub and landscaping add to the general appeal of the casita. It is well appointed and well kept. I would highly recommend to anyone as long as you do not want to be right in downtown, as you would need to drive. The agents that we used provided great recommendations for attractions and restaurants.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This Casita was a very pleasant experience. It was very clean, comfortable and well appointed with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, a luxurious bathroom with shower, tub and extra towels for the hot tub. The owner even provided beautiful bathrobes for our use. The fireplace was equipped with firewood. Attention to detail was obvious and made our experience a good one. The only downside was the cable service to TV and internet was disturbed. We called the owner and it was taken care of overnight. One must understand this rental is in a rural setting. So driving to downtown Santa Fe is necessary.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This casita was the perfect place for us to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The location was fabulous - a quick drive into town, and easy access to the highway for further destinations. The view is fabulous - we enjoyed nightly sunsets over the mountains and fires in the fireplace. The casita was impeccably clean, and nicely decorated. We hope to return!

We have two children and the casita was perfect for our family to have a little privacy from the rest of the family during our stay. The TV and Stereo were not hooked up properly, but we didn't really need the screen time. I would stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful location, adequate facilities, several glitches inside. We found several glitches upon arrival. It was hard to get the front door open with code; bathtub was full of water and rug soaked; no instructions for operating the electrical grids. We found fuse box not engaged on west side, couldn't get TV or AC to operate. Once we got everything figured out it was fine, but written instructions would help. Other places we have stayed have provided lists of convenient services, Would be especially helpful with this location. Instructions on operating TV and other electronics would be helpful.Lawn chairs are showing their age. No representative was ever in touch with us at check in, check out, or during the week. With no phone service they couldn't reach us. We found the location very convenient and facilities comfortable and views beautiful. Very quiet location. Manager responded on 9/4/2012: The guest never contacted us on the issues and we would have sent housekeeping out to deal with the tub and could have explained where the electrical box is located. We do include this info now with the confirmation and there is an information sheet in the unit. We also include a detailed list of Santa Fe information with each confirmation. This includes restaurants, local sites, grocery stores, etc. We are glad you enjoyed the views - they are some of the best in Santa Fe!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: all was perfect except two items. Like the other reviewers noted, the front door lock took some getting used to. Secondly, there were two outdoor plastic chairs (for three of us) and both has serious cracks in them... difficult to sit. otherwise clean place, lots of room,nice view.
