In this beautiful Gulf-front unit, there is absolutely nothing between your terrace and the sugar-white sandy beach -- the entire unit is bathed in the soft blue-green glow of the Gulf waters, and the sound of the waves will lull you to sleep at night. Mainsail is a secure gated community on 15 lush, landscaped acres directly on broad, sugar-white sandy beach. The property includes two pools (one heated), waterfall, hot tub, kiddie pools, four lighted tennis courts, fitness center, barbecue grills, and shuffleboard. The whole complex is ideal for families, with lots of safe space for children to play. This condo is the very front unit on the third floor in the building closest to the water, offering panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico from nearly every room.

Why the Owner Chose Mainsail
Destin offers the most beautiful beaches in North America, perhaps the world. I love the slow and easy pace of life in this quintessentially Southern town, still full of its old fishing-village charm. So many wonderful restaurants, fabulous shopping, sport fishing, great golf and lovely people make this a wonderful place to visit, which is probably why my guests and I return year after year. Mainsail Resort is located directly on the beach -- no roads to cross, no traffic to dodge -- with 15 lushly landscaped acres. So if you never left the property, you'd still find plenty of things to do, between tennis, two pools, jacuzzi and that fabulous beach.

No doubt about it, the view of the Gulf from this beachfront condo is the first thing everyone mentions. The first time I saw the blue-green Gulf waters and the sugar-white sands just outside the windows and visible from just about every room, I knew I had to have this place for myself and each time I return I get that same old thrill -- it never gets old! Add to that the sound of the waves to lull you to sleep, the casual but beautiful beachy decor that reflects the colors of the Gulf, the morning dolphin sightings from the deck...and you have a place that will call you back again and again.

A friend introduced me to Destin in 1991 and I've never quite been the same since. Soon after, I introduced my brother to the area; he fell in love with it and moved there. Then we introduced my mother to Destin and she started spending winters there. Now she lives there year-round. I'm the only member of the family who hasn't moved there but I was able to snag this wonderful condo-home in 2002. Until I retire, it's my vacation home (spring and fall) and I enjoy sharing it with like-minded folks, perhaps like you. Meanwhile, I'm a new grandma and a resident of New York City.

This condo has the most amazing view! Floor-to-ceiling windows made us feel like we were on the beach even when we were inside. Even when you're cooking in the kitchen you have a view. We've stayed in Destin many times, but no place (and I mean NO place) has a view as gorgeous as this one. Seriously. Location walking distance to grocery store, yogurt shop, liquor store and OUTLET MALL!

Another great stay in Mainsail 131!!! Our worries about the oil spill - which never showed up during our stay, thankfully, on the beautiful Destin beaches - were calmed as well by the wonderful views at sunrise and sunset. Thanks again for maintaining the best property on the Gulf Coast!

Absolutely terrific! The condo is comfortable, convenient and relaxing. The views are breath taking! A fantastic time was had by all, our vacation was long overdue. Wonderful week away from all the hustle and bustle. The family can hardly wait till next year. So glad we found Mainsail on VRBO!

What a wonderful vacation. This was truly a "home away from home" experience. The condo was great and the view was even better! This vacation was shared with my daughter, mother and two aunts. We had such a great time and are hoping to go back next year! So relaxing!
