Watch the winter storms! This two bedroom house is located only two blocks from the East Cliff along Monterey Bay, secluded beaches and prime surfing. The house is within walking distance of Old Capitola Village with it's beaches, wharf and fine dining and novelty shops. It's just a short drive to Moss Landing, UC Santa Cruz, to one of many golf courses, or hiking trails.. . a haven of outdoor activities... with fresh ocean air and mild climate. Our Cottage is nestled between the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor and Old Capitola Village, approximately 65 miles sounth of San Francisco, 35 miles west of San Jose, and 25 miles north of Montery and Carmel on the Pacific Coast.

The cottage has two bedrooms,and one bath and is fully equipped with bed linens and towels. The step down master bedroom has a queen size bed, a parquet floor and open beam ceiling. The second bedroom has twin beds. The living room boasts a large, comfy sectional, and chairs, a reading lamp and cable TV. It has its own private, fenced yard.

You will find most of the dishes and applicances in the kitchen that you would find in your own home. . everything from stem ware and coffee pot to gas stove, micro-wave and dishwasher. The unit is tastefully decorated with it's own original wall hangings. A closet full of toys, as well as a porta crib and high chair are available for little people upon request.

Washer and dryer, water, garbage, utilities, cable TV and wi-fi internet hook up are all provided, FREE OF CHARGE. Would you prefer off-street parking? We have that too. Check our calendar for availability.

Walk, ride bikes, go surfing, sailing, fishing, golfing, or enjoy the peaceful solitude of the pounding surf. Take a scenic drive to the nearby Henry Cowell or Big Basin State Parks and hike through the majestic redwood forests. The world renowned Carmel, Seventeen Mile Drive, Pebble Beach Golf Course and Monterey Bay Aquarium are less than an hour away. Another fun adventure in the area, is renting kayaks and exploring the Elk Horn Slough at Moss Landing, where you can observe numerous birds and otters. Or, drive up the Pacific Coast Hwy to explore the delights of San Francisco.

Renters must be at least twenty-one years of age. All guests must be listed on the contract; no more than four people (including guests) may occupy the unit. Smoking, loud parties, drugs, and/or excessive drinking are not permitted on the premises.

The bottom line: This charming beach cottage is not a 5* hotel: It is more private than a hotel, more comfortable than a motel, more charming than a condo, and much more affordable than any other option. Be sure to see the comments of other guests who have stayed here.

  • The cottage was great. When we arrived we were greeted by a beautiful yard and very nice neighbors. We were a little worried about booking a place over the internet and not knowing much about about it or the location. In the two weeks we were there we feel we had gotten to know the area well. In our opinion your place is the place we would like to stay when we choose to visit Santa Cruz again. We love the location, the toys were great. Although there is a puppy stuffed animal that I was hidding when we left. My 3 yr old was trying to take him home with her.. Ha Ha Thank you for everything, we hope to be back. Santa Cruz was a hard place to leave. We loved it there.. Pleasure Point Cottage was a great place to stay!

  • Thank you so much for our wonderful stay in Santa Cruz. The location was perfect! The home was perfect. Everything we could need, and then some, was provided. The neighborhood was quiet, and many things were within walking distance--great food and shopping. It was wonderful being able to have my morning coffee outside listening to the ocean. We used the rental for two months while waiting to move into our new home--and it was perfect. Thank you again. I cant think of one thing to complain about.

  • We had a fabulous time at this centrally located property. Our week at Pleasure Point allowed us to visit San Francisco, Monterey, San Lorenzo Valley, Santa Cruz and Elk Horn Slough. We loved our front yard barbeque as much as our dinner on the houseboat. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was larger than expected, and the neighbors were friendly, but quiet. All in all, this was a great choice for our almost annual get-to-gether. Thank you, Loetta,Lindley, Ferd & Beth
