Want to see the Baja but not on your own? Casabuena offers a unique type of rental. Because the owners live on the property, there is always someone to help you plan your vacation and put your plans into action. Or, you can enjoy this romantic location on your own.
Casabuena is a walled and gated, hacienda-style compound consisting of nine bedrooms,a pool, and a large palapa. The owners live on premises. Two rooms face their own private garden. The third has its own balcony overlooking the front patio, and two have a kitchenette,
the sixth is closest to our rooftop sunlounge. All rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. Our three newest rooms are a bit smaller but well decorated and appointed. All have air conditioning, a private bath and refrigerators.
The palapa (50 x 30 feet common building) will comfortably hold 40 people, making it perfect for seminars, weddings, or reunions. The palapa has available for you a full kitchen, entertainment system, satellite TV, fireplace,large grill, and 24 hr. free web access
with shared computer or via your WiFi or ethernet device to DSL.
The pool, parking, and extensive gardens complete this secure and fully enclosed property.
We are 10 minutes walk from the start of the town waterfront and minutes from resturants and groceries. Blanca will keep you rooms clean and your linens fresh. Sylvia across the street provides laundry service. SuSu will set up your complimentary breakfast as early or late as you desire. Rental vehicles are available in town for exploring nearby Las Ventanas, Todos Santos, or Cabo San Lucas. Let us get you started on you exploration of the Baja.
Because La Paz is not a "touristy" city, the atmosphere is tranquil. Nearby diving is spectacular and has been featured on Animal Planet and Discovery Channel. You can dive with sealions on Islotes, wreck dive, or dive with big fish on El Bajo. Whale sharks and mantas come to the bay in the fall and the chances of seeing whales and dolphins is excellent. Fishing is also outstanding yielding billfish, dorado, and tuna in season.
The town itself has a beautiful and well maintained waterfront. Children play volleyball and the fishermen bring in their catch. People stroll the Malecon shopping or enjoying ice cream or expresso in the evenings listening to local bands. You can sit in the Zocolo by the old cathedral downtown and watch people be themselves with no bums or hawkers selling you timeshare.
La Paz is also a university town so there are good museums, concerts, live theater, and cinemas with current movies in English. We can arrange classes or tours to cover many interests. For those interested in contributing to the community we can arrange for you to participate in medical or charitable assistance programs through our local church. We offer special arrangements for mission groups.
Owners, Milton and SuSu are dedicated to making your trip a success. Milton is a published videographer, USCG licensed yacht skipper, and avid diver. SuSu is a professional chef with 12 years experience in the yacht industry. Meals, catering, or provisioning are available upon request. Maid and garden service provided. Laundry service can be provided locally.
