Best Christmas on the beach ever!

We got to Hermosa Beach on the Night before Christmas 2011 and stayed until New Year's day, and we just had the best time! We were three adults (my wife and my mom and I) and we had our our two daughters (3 and 1) with us. Having the kids on the beach was ideal for them: they loved playing in the sand every morning (there were sand toys available), they went to the aquarium a block away, and to the swings (one block away right on the beach). A vacation with young kids cannot be any easier than this! The house was in great condition, everything we needed was right there, even an internet connection. There are great restaurants on the pier, a small grocery store and coffee shops. Too bad, we ran out of time to use the bikes on the strand… We will definitely come back soon!

Could not have enjoyed ourselves more. Place was clean and handsomely appointed. The view from the master bedroom is simply the best, the pristine sands of Hermosa Beach and the beautiful blue Pacific. The beds were very comfortable, closet space good. The deck off the living room sits on the Strand and provides a great spot for reading, snacking or just watching the colorful parade of active Californians cycling, walking, jogging and skating. There is a drive in 2 car garage that is indispensable.We loved the place and recommend it for a brief getaway by the sea or a longer seaside vacation .......... as good as it gets! This home was terrific for a romantic getaway. We enjoyed the warm atmosphere of 2 fireplaces while looking at the ocean. Restaurants are easily within walking or biking distance and the patio grill is a great private bonus. We can't wait to return.

My wife and 2 young daughters stayed here and had the time of our lives. Every night we slept with the sound of crashing waves and every morning we watched the morning sun over the ocean from our bedroom. The house has every ammenity available, a great backyard patio with a barbeque grill and a huge front deck to watch the bikers and walkers on the Strand. It's heaven for children. We can't wait to return.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.
