The cabin is fully furnished with dishes, pots & pans and linens. The cabin is one mile from the Fresno Field Archery Range and two miles from the local hang glider landing field. Escape the hectic pace of the city and relax in a rustic mountain getaway located at 2000 ft. elevation - above the valley fog and below the winter snow.
King's Canyon/Sequoia National Park, and the adjoining National Forest, has 4,000,000 acres of some of the most spectacular sights and scenes anywhere in the world. Both parks have soaring mountain peaks, countless lakes, waterfalls, cascading creeks and flowering meadows. The deepest gorge in North America (even deeper than the Grand Canyon) and giant Sequoia trees are both in these very diverse parks. They are truly a masterpiece of nature. Activities in the parks and national forest include sightseeing, hang gliding, hiking, back-packing, world-class rock climbing at Needles and Dome Rock, off-road biking, fishing, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and white water rafting. There is fishing and boating at Pine Flat Lake. Houseboat rentals are also available or a launching ramp is available for your own watercraft. Nearby is the beautiful Squaw Valley Herb Gardens with tours available year-round. The Endangered Cat Haven exhibits a variety of rare wild cats on tour daily. Only 1-½ hour away are several Indian gaming casinos. A 2-½ hour drive will find you in Yosemite National Park.
Although there are three local restaurants, the nearest grocery store is 25 miles so it is advisable to bring your groceries. March & April are wildflower months at the ranch. Depending on the seasons you may see wild turkey, deer, bobcat, wild pig, birds of all species and other wildlife. Our small herd of longhorn cattle wander the ranch, however, the cabin is totally fenced from the cattle.
