We have made many trips to Florence and we were lucky to stumble on to this property. Linda and her son were wonderful and easy to work with. They made sure we had all of the relevant information on the local area and gave us directions to certain local shops we had inquired about. The location of the property was perfect: everything you'd want to see is just a few minutes away. The apartment was extreemly clean and the views are spectacular. The value of this apartment can not be overstated, it is in a perfect location, secure, listed at a wonderful price and you're dealing with wonderful people (Linda and her son). I would recommend this place to everyone and we will be staying here each and everytime we return to Florence.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

What a lovely week four of us had in Florence staying in this bright, quiet apartment within walking distance of all the sights in Florence! It was a wonderful, peaceful place to look forward to returning to at the end of a day of sightseeing or even in the middle of the day if we needed a break. It is right off Duomo Square. The views of the Duomo Cathdedral from the apartment are fantastic especially when all lit up at night. Food stores, a bank, pharmacy and restaurants are all near by. No need to set an alarm clock as we were wakened by the bells each morning and enjoyed an evening concert on the lovely little terrace where we could gather with a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing. The owner, Linda, was a pleasure to deal with in setting up arrangements for the rental. She met us at the apartment and showed us how everything worked and where the closest food store and bank were. We appreciated having free Wi-Fi. The description and photos of the apartment are accurate. It is quite spacious and accommodated the four of us easily. The one bedroom does have a slanted low ceiling so mind your heads. The bathroom associated with this bedroom only has a chemical toilet which is apparently temperamental so the two using this bedroom used the bathroom off the front hall which worked out fine. The kitchen is very small, but is well equipped with various cooking utensils and lots of dishes and was just fine for our needs. We did not use the air conditioning nor the TV/DVD so can't comment on their functioning. The elevator was greatly appreciated after all our walking and for our luggage. The street in front of the building was all torn up and fenced off with just a narrow sidewalk for walking but the noise from the construction did not bother us at all in the apartment. We would definitely stay in this apartment again and highly recommend it to others. We hope we can return one day!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We couldn't get over how quiet this apartment was and still in the middle of all the main attractions. Except for the evening church bells which were a great cue to take the glass of wine out to the wonderful patio! Linda was gracious and helpful in meeting us even when we arrived later than planned. She walked us through everything and left guides and tips on nearby groceries and cafes, as well as suggestions on other practical matters. The photos represent it very well. The kitchen is small, but served our needs very well. I cannot stress how wonderful it was to have an elevator after a day of sightseeing! There is a great breakfast place around the corner (Cucciola), a grocery at the end of the block, and a bank on the next block. All the conveniences in easy reach. Thanks, Linda. We'll definitely recommend this to our friends who are coming your way!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

As promised everything was fabulous. 1 min. to all the attractions grocery stores and shopping. Fabulous view from all of the windows and the terrace. Linda and her son were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was comfortable and clean. The only thing missing was a coffee maker, (Canadian style), but we made do with instant and cafes. I would recommend this apartment for a delightful time in Florence.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

We just got back from a trip to Italy and loved where we stayed in Florence. This apartment has a fantastic location. We would have given this 5 stars, but had some issues when we arrived. The listing stated that the apartment was "fully airconditoned", it wasn't, it had 2 AC units, one in one bedroom and the other in the living/kitchen area. The other bedroom didn't have an AC unit. Also, the description stated a "full kitchen", but there was no oven and only a tiny a refridgerator. Other than that the location was amazing, the views were fabulous, and the property was clean and maintained. The owners were also fairly easy to deal with and responsive. The apartment is true to the photos and if we plan a trip back to florence we will definitely consider staying here again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Aswering to the last review, first of all thank you for the kindest lines; we have to clarify that unfortunately one air conditiong unit got broken at the end of May and we temporarily replaced that unit with 2 well working fans;we didn't change the listing description as we will put again a new air conditioning unit very soon also in the second bedroom

I stayed there with my parents (aged 70) for one week in September 2008. The apartment was very clean and you cannot beat the location. The apartment has a small terrace with some views. Behind the apartment is a small church that has nightly concerts for free. We always stopped in after dinner. Would definitely stay again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
