Walk to Arc de Triomphe for bird's eye view of grand Avenues like Champs Elysees
Location: Paris Arrondissement 8, Paris, Ile-de-France (Paris Area), France, Europe (The 8th, 16th and 17 arr. merge at the Arc de Triomphe) View Map
Accommodations: Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)
Events of September 11th and United's bankruptcy caused me to take an early retirement from United Airlines' Paris base so my wonderful Paris apartment is now available for YOU to enjoy while I'm in San Diego and I now offer unlimited calling to the USA and Canada and throughout Western Europe and France for FREE. Wireless internet, also.
This one-bedroom apartment has the privacy of two bedrooms. Living room door closes and occupants of each room have access to toilet, bathroom, and kitchen without disturbing the other; important when you first arrive and jet-lag makes for irregular sleeping hours. Twin beds in bedroom can be pushed together to make a king-size bed. Very comfortable double-size, fold-down couch in living room. Bathroom has big soaking tub and both fixed and hand-held shower heads, and a washer/dryer for light loads of laundry.
Fifth floor apartment with elevator big enough for several people and their luggage! All-glass living room wall opens wide onto private balcony overlooking center gardens (please water my flowers!). NO city noise. Light and sunny. View of lovely Victorian buildings. Loads of closet space (rare in Paris) to keep apartment orderly.
Everything you need to cook your own gourmet meals. Go French and get fresh food at nearby Poncelet, one of the largest daily outdoor markets in Paris, or if you prefer a US-style grocery store (with peanut butter, cereal, etc.) Galleries Gourmand is also nearby.
Convenient location. Walk five minutes to Arc de Triomphe Metro station where metro lines #1, #2, #6, and the RER-A and C will whisk you quickly to anywhere in the city. Most of the important streets of Paris radiate out from the Arc de Triomphe. Also walk to the Air France bus which goes nonstop to the airport every 15 minutes. Excellent neighborhood, prestige apartment building located on upscale Ave des Ternes, close to lots of shops, bakeries, and restaurants.
My quiet, nicely furnished apartment has everything you need for a comfortable vacation including an extensive library of guide books and maps of the city, metro and bus system, etc. Please read the comments in my online guestbook!

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 8
Describe why I bought a place in Paris? Are you kidding? It's the most beautiful city in the world and you would NEVER run out of things to see and do! Plus it's so fun to explore other parts of France after a week in Paris.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
Brian and I fell in love in Paris and enjoy going back every late July to see the end of the Tour de France. We stay on through mid-August attending the wonderful summer concerts around the city. It is so easy to get around Paris on the Metro from this central location near the Arc de Triomphe. We love shopping daily in the nearby open market for the scrumptious summer fruits that taste soooo much better than at home. Amazingly fresh ingredients turns every dish in to a taste sensation and makes cooking a pleasure. But we love walking to Leon de Bruxelles for curried moules, dipping French bread into the curried broth...it just doesn't get any better than that! I can't wait to go back!
When you see Napoleon's Arch, you'll gasp in amazement at is grandeur. Go up to the top for a fabulous view of the Etoile, a star with the grand boulevards (including the Champs Elysees) radiating fro

Owner's Map of Paris Arrondissement 8
I was based in Paris working as a Purser/Flight Attendant for United Airlines for 5 years. After 9/11 I took a voluntary furlough and came back to San Diego and started renting out my Paris apartment to vacationers. It was such fun interacting with people, especially those going to experience Paris for the very 1st time! But I enjoy talking to the most seasoned Francofiles, too. I was hooked and started my own Vacation Rental business in San Diego. NancysVacationRentals. Now I have 36 rentals but still take the time to return to Paris twice a year to "check on my property." Someone has to do it! I'm happy to share my local knowledge with you. Photo of my Mom and I at her Paris-themed 80th birthday party!
