Charming, spacious, sunny, completely renovated, nicely furnished, 120 m2 (1300 square feet; which is one of the largest you will find in Paris for short term rental), duplex apartment with panoramic views of the historic Le Marais District. Perfect for a couple with friends or small family.
(Apartment previously lived in by American owner who understands American standards of comfort: i.e. individual gas heating, lots of hot water and closet space !) The apartment is tastefully decorated with a mix of contemporary and antique furniture and modern art and photographs.
The apartment is on the 5th. floor without an elevator. ( Up 1 floor to the mezzanine, down a hallway and then up 4 short flights ). Not a difficult climb if you are in decent shape but can be a problem for babies, the elderly or people with mobility problems.
The apartment manager will greet you upon arrival and help you carry your bags up the stairs and, if necessary, back down again at departure.(SEE COMMENTS IN GUESTBOOK BELOW, that is probably the best recommendation you can get !)
In the heart of the REAL Marais
On a quiet street (rue des Hospitalières-St. Gervais) tucked between the rue des Rosiers (historic Jewish quarter) and the lively rue Vieille du Temple (great shopping and restaurants abound). 3 street markets open daily and 2 weekly open air fresh food markets which are within walking distance of the apartment make cooking a joy! Centrally-situated.
