Shopping, Dinning & Entertainment: There are a variety of establishments offering spirits and live music for your enjoyment, so bring your dancing shoes. Some of the best shopping anywhere is right here in Red River. Whether you are looking for clothing, specialty items, unique gifts or souvenirs, the shopping search ends here. Red River also offers a wonderful dining experience to its residents and visitors, complete with warm, welcoming atmospheres and delicious foods!
Winter Skiing: Both New Mexico and Colorado have their share of spectacular ski areas, and Red River Ski Area ranks right up there with the best of them for one dramatic reason. We offer slopes for all levels of skiers, making this a true family ski paradise. Another fact you'll want to consider: Lift capacity is an astounding 7,920 skiers per hour, so you don't have to stand around waiting. Most of our ski runs deliver you right to the edge of town, so there's no long-distance driving (and parking) to contend with.
Of course, don’t forget cross-country. The Enchanted Forest Cross Country Ski Area atop 9,800-foot Bobcat Pass offers almost 20 miles of nicely groomed trails in a 1,400-acre park. Experience all kinds of terrain, not to mention all kinds of stirring mountain views, and probably even some wildlife.
Technical advances have made snowmobiling a lot more reliable, quieter, smoother and easier than ever. Our Snowmobile tour operators will escort you on day trips over more than 50 miles of freshly groomed trails. There are also more ambitious escorted adventures available, even to the top of 11,249-foot Greenie Peak. Bring your own machine, or rent.
There is a difference in ski areas, and the difference at Red River is the distinctive emphasis on fun for everyone in the family. Our 58 trails are equally divided for all skill levels: 30% expert, 38% intermediate and 32% beginner. Our nationally recognized ski school caters to all skill levels as well. And our new snowboard park keeps all of you well challenged and entertained.
We have the facilities to keep our resort ski-able and fun all season. Fully 75% of the terrain is subject to snow making, so there isn't any downtime on our mountain. Our change in elevation is ideal, from 8,750 feet at the base to 10,350 at the summit!

Overall an awesome experience! We took our kids skiing for the first time over Spring Break. Condo is very convenient to the ski area and the ski school. Very relaxing little brook out back that you can sit next to and daydream. Condo is nicely furnished and we were able to cook any meals we wanted, which saves lots of $$$. Our group was 4 adults and 5 kids, and every slept very comfortably. My only suggestion is that the wifi was pretty spotty and didn't always work. We loved Red River and would stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We have stayed in various rentals in Red River over the years. This townhome was an exception. Furnished quite well, convenient to the lifts, excellent management staff (willing to please) and most of all, Wayne the owner was courteous and willing to work with you. This is customer service that has been forgotten in this day and age. Me and my family look forward to staying here again for years to come.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

From the moment we entered your townhome we could see the love and care you two have put into your unit. The décor, the fabulous beds, and the kitchen (wow) – everything was just magnificent! Thank you so very much for your hospitality and all your help from the first inquiry we made on your unit. We especially want to thank you for allowing us to check in early and check out later – it was a big help. We definitely will contact you in the future! Everyone who stays here will leave not only relaxed but with an appreciation of your hospitality as well. Our party of 5 adults and 2 kids thank you!Did you find this review helpful? Our family of 4 adults and 2 children spent 6 nights and enjoyed everything about this condo. Location was superb! Beds and showers were very comfortable. The few glitches with the phone and icemaker did not detract from our enjoyment. My only suggestions for improvement, would be fans in the living and master, and a washer/dryer. (although I don't know where they could put it.) Overall rating - EXCELLENT!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Welcome to our guestbook! We are excited to share our ClaimJumper Townhouse experience with you. We want to hear about your experiences and particularly are interested in hearing about your suggestions for changes or improvements. While I have to say that no deal is perfect, spending a few days in the cool mountain air in the middle of summer is really close to it. Feel free to enjoy our mountain getaway as if it was your own. We hope you will come back often.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

About the owner: Carmen and Wayne Snyder have four adult children in their blended family and 14 grandchildren. We all gather in Red River at various times of the year and enjoy the mountain trails. Jeeps play a big part in our enjoyment of the mountains. This is all of the immediate family on one of our favorite trails.
Why the Owner Chose Red River:
We have been enjoying staying in Red River escaping the hot summer for 30 years and when one of our friends told us that a Townhouse was for sale, we immediately drove to Red River, and made an offer. We have invested in many improvements since.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Our property is centrally located to everything in Red River. Across the street from the red chair lift, on the river and fishing ponds, an easy walk to groceries and restaurants.
