Less than two hours from Cincinnati, and 45 minutes from Dayton, the Celebrations and Sunsets Cottage is the perfect lakeside getaway to spend a weekend as a couple, or to celebrate the season with your family and friends. Features include 3 bedrooms (2 Queens, 1 Full), 2 bathrooms, large screened in porch, large screen TV, paddle boat, gas BBQ, and a fire pit. The private dock is perfect for fishing and sunbathing and huge paver patio is great for outdoor meals and relaxing outdoors.
Close by amenities include the state park within 2 miles for picnics and walks, beach and marina for boat rentals. Grand Lake St. Mary is a 10 mile by 3 mile lake that features many local dining and entertainment options with ~10 waterside restaurants accessible via boat or car. Don’t own a boat? Rent one from one of the several local marinas, or take the St. Mary’s Water Taxi. For those lazy nights when you just want to swing around the corner there is a restaurant and bar less than 1/4 mile away complete with sand volleyball net and bands every weekend. For entertainment the rental includes a paddleboat, basic fishing equipment, a fire pit for fires and smores, a corn hole set, horseshoe set, indoor shuffle board table and indoor games.

Year Purchased: 2008
We purchased Celebrations & Sunsets Cottage in 2008 after looking for Cottages within a 5 hour radius of Cincinnati. I am from Upstate NY and grew up on Lake Ontario. My best childhood memories are spending time on the water with my family, having smores, and catching small fish with my grandfather. I love that other families are creating memories at Celebrations & Sunsets cottage.
Why the Owner Chose Celina
We chose to buy at Grand Lake St. Marys because it is so close to Cincinnati and because of the length and type of summer season versus the more northern (too short) or southern (too hot) lake options. The Celina and St. Marys area is a rural and quiet setting with extremely friendly people. When we come here we can sit out on the paver patio or in the glassed/screen in porch and look out on the water and be completely relaxed. We enjoy water sports out on the Lake and can enjoy them with ease as there are never too many boats out on the water. We love that we can dock our boat and kids can swim right in front of our cottage.
