Rue Fontaine was our home for a month, and we hated to leave. It was the best apartment we have ever stayed in (and we have rented many all over the world). So what makes this apartment so special? Location is everything, and we loved the authentic village-like atmosphere. It was easy to get to any part of the city, and we were always happy to return to rue Fontaine. When we visited other parts of Paris, like the areas around the Louvre or the Eiffel, we were actually surprised by all the English we heard spoken around us. In our neighborhood we almost always heard French. The apartment is beautifully laid out and incredibly spacious. Even our French friends who stopped by for a visit were impressed. The open plan living area is ideal with the kitchen, eating area, and living room all in one space but not at all crowded. The bathroom is huge (especially by European standards!), and the bedroom has a large closet where we could stow all our stuff out of sight. We also thoroughly enjoyed the balcony -- perfect for late afternoons and wine and cheese whenever the weather allowed. The apartment is incredibly well-equipped. All the appliances are excellent including a washer with separate dryer (so much better than the washer/dryer combination unit you often get), and a wonderful dishwasher. Best of all, Paula makes sure that the apartment is well-stocked with basics like paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, detergents for dish and clothes washing, basic spices, tea and coffee etc. It was such a relief to be able to settle right in without having to immediately run out to the store to stock up (which is what typically happens). What else can I say? Great apartment with great service -- highly recommended!

Three of us stayed in this wonderful apartment for 5 nights late November. It was everything as described and more. The apartment is immaculate and comfortable. It was warm, and every little detail was taken care of thanks to the wonderful property manager Paula, who greeted us and made us feel comfortable upon arrival. The building is very secure, there is an elevator (it is on the 5th floor - US). The apartment was very well maintained, the appliances were new and worked very well, the bed was comfortable, the linens were high quality, the bathroom was modern and clean. The area is pretty residential, although there are a couple of bars on Rue Fontaine, and it might get quite lively on Friday night, but it never bothered us. We felt safe at all times walking from the metro stations (there are two within 3 minute walking distance), there is a supermarket, two bakeries, and Rue Lepic with its wonderful gourmet shops is just 5 minutes walking distance. It is about 10 min leisurely walk to Opera Garnier, and about 20 minute walk to the Louvre. We will definitely stay here on our future trips to Paris. Highly recommend if you are looking for more convenient and comfortable accommodations than cramped old hotels.

My husband, 2 teenage sons and I were very happy staying in this very clean, comfortable and homey apartment during our 5 days in Paris. You could really tell that this is someone's home, not just a place that is rented out. The furnishings were attractive and the beds (sofa bed in the living room and the queen size in the bedroom) were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you need if you want to cook. We ate out every day, but it was wonderful to bring home leftovers and heat them up in the microwave for a late snack. The washer and dryer really came in handy, too. Even though the apartment is on a street with lots of businesses in the area (bars, restaurants, comedy club), it was quiet inside the apartment. We were also very impressed with the Property Manager. From the time I first inquired about the apartment until the time we got back to the US, the PM always responded to my emails very quickly. She met us at the apartment when we first arrived and showed us how everything works. There is also a notebook on the fireplace with tips on navigating Paris' Metro and buses, tips on restaurants, all kinds of helpful information. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a great family value that offers a lot more space and privacy than a hotel. If we ever have the good fortune of returning to Paris, I will ask to stay here again.

We had a short stay at this beautiful apartment, but would go back in a heart beat! Convenient location close to two metro lines as well as bus stops. Supermarkets close by with tons of fresh foods for any meal. Very comfortable apartment with all the amenities needed, it was truly a great vacation and we wish we could have stayed longer! Paula was very easy to get a hold of and to work with for our pre-arrival trip details. She met us our first night there and was very accommodating with our "late" arrival time showing us all the necessary items and even giving us some great ideas on places to see and go to. We can't wait to go back to Paris - definitely an apartment not to miss out on.

What a lovely apartment to stay in during our time in Paris. It was so well equipped, including spices and cooking oils and everything you may need to cook after visiting a lovely local market. But if you don't feel like cooking, you can walk to lots and lots of wonderful places to eat, or pick up an oven fired pizza just a few doors down from the apartment and enjoy on your balcony. Yummy! So many wonderful things to see in the immediate neighbourhoods and of course in the entire city. Paula was absolutely wonderful to deal with before, during and after our stay. They have put together a binder full of all kinds of helpful information for you to make your stay in the apartment and the city easy and hassel free. Highly recommended.

This is the third apartment that I have rented through Paula at Frenchy Rentals in the last 4 years and each time I have been extremely pleased with the personal attention from Paula and the fact that each apartment was exactly as shown in the photos on their site. This April I decided on the Fontaine address simply because I loved the idea of having a dish washer, a huge full-sized bath tub to soak my weary bones in at the end of the day and a small terrace. The flat was immaculately clean, a kitchen that could easily service a family of four, a bathroom that was bright and had a wonderful full-sized bath tub , and an easy to operate clothes washer and dryer. Although there is an elevator that is approximately 22" wide and 50 " deep and can hold 3 medium sized people , or 1 person with a carry-on suitcase and knap sack, I only rode it on the first day I arrived since I enjoyed the spiral climb up to this fourth floor flat. (5th floor in Canada) I am a 62 year old woman who travels alone with only carry-on luggage so the amenities provided by all of Paula's rental properties have made my travels a breeze. The bed was not only very comfortable , but overlooked a quiet courtyard and most days I would have at least one meal on the 4 1/2 foot X 10 foot terrace that you accessed by a door off the bedroom. Although I did not sleep on the sofa bed I did set it up and try it out. It was not only comfortable, if you closed the windows you hardly heard the street noise. If you wanted to make the living room even darker, and quieter, you could close the outer shutters. Closing the shutters would probably be a great way to keep this apartment cool during the summer months. The area in which the apartment is situated is my most favourite. I could walk each day to rue Lepic in 5 minutes where I purchased fresh fruit, vegetables and meat so I could prepare a feast fit for a queen. It took me only 20 minutes to make my evening stroll up to Sacre Coeur and subway stops are within a 2 minute walk. In 5 minutes I walked to a very entertaining museum called "Musee de l'Erotisme". I found it both entertaining, sometimes humorous to artistic to a tad graphic..but it gave a culturally historic approach to eroticism from the time of ancient civilizations to present day. Drop in to Musee Jacquemart Andre at 158 blvd. Haussmann and eat in their amazing dining room ! Within two days of returning to Canada I received my damage deposit ! Mary

This lovely, clean bright apartment has everything you need...I mean every little thing, but not too much. We loved the location, close to public transportation, restaurants, shops, bakery's and grocery stores. You feel like you are part of Paris not just a visitor!

Our stay in this apartment was wonderful! It caters for all your needs and the location is superb. There are many metro stations within walking distance, an excellent street with food markets (try the different cheeses, the excellent crusty bread..) and everybody is very friendly. A short walk to many restaurants, from cheap and cheerful to serious stuff. The apartment itself is very spacious and comfortable (including the sofa bed), extremely clean and quiet because of the double glazing. Paula made us feel very welcome upon arrival and we would definitely recommend it to anybody coming either for the first time or to a seasoned Paris visitor.

My husband and I rented this apartment for a month and it was outstanding in every way. It is very modern, has high speed internet, phone access to the US (important for people who need to be in touch with the office while they are away) as well as a washer/dryer. The building is on a quiet street within a 5 minute walk of 3 metro stations. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and everything was absolutely spotless. Paula helped us out a lot, especially when one of us developed an ear infection-she could not have been more helpful in assisting us to secure medical attention (clearly beyond her job description). We would rent this apartment again in a heartbeat and we have already recommended it to our friends.

On our recent trip to Paris we rented this apartment and it was the best thing we did! The apartment was perfect for our family, is in a great location with easy access to the metro, SNCF, market, etc. The process we went through to book it was so easy and Paula answered all our questions and was comforting to know we had someone in Paris in case of any emergency. We are looking forward to returning to France and will definitely contact Frenchy Rentals and we are also recommending the apartment to all our friends.
