I'm sitting here writing this with the PVB's (Post-Vacation Blues),so please bear with me.This cabin is better than advertised. It had ALL the comforts of home, and then some. The area is fabulous, great people, music, shopping, fishing, hiking, and drop-dead views everywhere, but stress was not to be found. If a stress-free stay is not your idea of a good time, you'll want to look elsewhere! Our renting of this cabin started with a phone call to Andy (one of the owners),after of which I knew Andy was a good man.Three or four calls later we determined that if we had Andy and Sharon for neighbors we truly would be blessed. These folks are the real deal. We stayed seven nights, and have only two complaints, both of which are our fault. We should have stayed here sooner, and we should have stayed longer. The cabin was clean as a whistle and everything was in great working order. We will be back to Mountain View, but only if we can stay at Gracie's Cabin again. Thank you so much Andy,Sharon, and staff, for enabling our wonderful stay in your cabin on the mountain. You folks are the best! Gene and LornaRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Gene, Thank you so much for finding the time to post your review of our little piece of heaven. Know that you are always welcome to come back for future visits as we pride ourselves in keeping it clean, attractive and well worth the visit for all our travelers. Take care and many blessings to you and your family, Sharon & Andy

This cabin was a little more than similar cabins in the area, but it was worth it! It has extra amenities, like washer/dryer, dish washer, etc., and also more comfortable beds than other cabins I've visited in the same area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our stay at Grace's Cabin was the best. The cabin was beautiful, very clean, and everything was furnished except the food we ate. The setting was very peaceful, and while we we sitting on the front porch we even saw three deer at the edge of the yard. What a wonderful cabin to stay in and enjoy God's beautiful mountains!! We would recommend this to anyone that wanted to have an enjoyable, peaceful vacation with all comforts afforded.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much Barbara for your kind words about our cabin. So glad the stay was well worth it and we certainly hope you will consider making another trip to Mountain View in the near future. We would love to have you back for another stay. Our stay at the Cabin in the Woods was relaxing and enjoyable. Cabin is probably the best stocked rental I have rented. The washer and dryer were especially appreciated after traveling for four days. Very comfortable and we saw deer both days of our stay. Would most certainly stay there again.Owner response: Thank you so much Sally and so glad you enjoyed our little bit of heaven in the Ozarks. We look forward to booking your next stay and many blessings between now and then. Sharon & Andy Grace Gracies Place Mountain View, AR

Thank you for opening up your cabin to travelers. Our stay was more restful than any motel room we have ever stayed in. Stayed two nights and slept better than in our own beds! We (3 adults and a 5-year old child) had been traveling for five days so we accumulated lots of laundry. It was so nice to be able to leave with everything clean. We were tired of eating out so we grilled steaks and asparagus on the gas grill. The Norfolk National Fish Hatchery on Hwy 177 S (about an hour away) was very interesting. They grow hundreds of thousands of trout and stock the local rivers. Our grandson enjoyed fishing the stream next to the hatchery that only children 16 and under can fish. We drove to Flippin, AR, (about 1 1/2 hours away) and toured the Ranger boat factory which was awesome! We took in a folk music show at the Backstreet Theater in Mountain View. The Cobb Brothers and friends played (guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandoline and stand up bass), sang and did a comdedy music act. These are local boys (13, 15 and 17). They did a fine job! We met the cleaning lady who was proud to take care of the cabin and was genuine in her concern that we found the cabin clean. We assured her that we had! The short gravel road leading up to the cabin gave us a feel that we were in the country! The pictures of the cabin on VRBO are exactly as it is. When we spotted it for the first time, it was like visiting an old friend. If we ever go back to Mountain View, we will stay again. We will recommend the cabin and area to our friends for their family vacations! Sharon and Andy, it was fun to meet your family via the family photographs displayed around the cabin. Thank you for sharing Gracies Cabin!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We had a great time in this beautiful cabin. The outside of the cabin is a little misleading but once you walk in you know what a great place you are staying in. Everything was very nice and comfortable. I had forgotten to bring a fan for the bedroom since we usually sleep with a fan on, and low-and-behold their was a a box fan in the bedroom. Perfect!! Very cozy environment with everything we needed. Kitchen was small but did exactly what we needed. Used the gas grill to make shish-ka-bobs and then roasted some marshmellows for shmores since we were in a burn ban. Had a fairly difficult time finding the place since the directions we were given were almost completely confusing. But a simple call to the owner guided us in the right direction and he called just to make sure we were at the cabin and everything was ok. We swam and floated in the Sylamore Creek which was very nice and quiet. Made "short trip" to the Folks Center thinking we would only spend an hour or so there. We spent almost three and my daughter loved the place and almost bought them out of everything. :) Overall, a great experience and we will consider this cabin again next time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
