Accommodations:  Cabin, Secluded on 2 Acres, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 7-8)

1000 sq. ft. of a rustic charmed cedar sided cabin on the Lake with a PRIVATE BOAT DOCK, welcomes you to 2 tranquil wooded acres in the Ozark Mountains. We like to call it a 'LAKESIDE HERMITAGE'!

The interior of this 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin is surrounded by a warm tongue and grooved knotty pine throughout. The great room with 17' ceilings boasts a full kitchen, solid oak dining set, living area w/ large flat screen TV/DVD and lots of windows. A patio door also opens to the deck built around a large towering oak tree for natural shade and faces the lake equipped with patio furniture and a gas grill.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed, massive country French pine dresser and nightstand, and a flat screen TV. The bunk room is off of the master and has its own separate entrance to the bath. The bathroom has a large shower with oil bronze bath fixtures and a granite vanity sink top. The loft features a bedroom with a daybed and attached pull out trundle (both with quality mattresses which can accommodate 2 adults comfortably), private bath with tub, and a sitting area with a bistro table and chairs overlooking the great room and the Lake where a game of cards, chess, or taking in a good book can be had.

At dusk, sit on your balcony or your private boat dock on the water, and enjoy the serene sounds of Owls, Bobwhites, Whip-poor-wills and Coyotes echoing through the valley. The evening also brings a variety of bats bugsurfing overhead for a midnight snack, and the occasional flying squirrel can be caught raiding the bird feeders under the cover of darkness. Or, perhaps gaze into the radiant night sky, absent of all city lights while searching for your favorite star, chase satellites to the horizon, or wish upon a shooting star while swapping stories around a warm crackling campfire.

Also, Mosquitoes are few to NONE!!! Yes, this truly is the 'Best of both Worlds'!

SO....

If you are looking for an escape from your fast paced world, basking in the natural tranquility and beauty of the Ozark Mountains, 'THE LAKESIDE HERMITAGE' on Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas has what you seek. This clear blue lake was formed by the damming of the White River in the mid 1950's, and has been attracting all who love the outdoors ever since. It offers 45,500 acres of lake and 1050 miles of mountain shoreline, straddling the borders of Arkansas and Missouri. Fishing tournaments are held year round because of the outstanding fishing in this area and harbors species such as Walleye, Crappie, Catfish, and numerous varieties of Bass. The amazing cliff structures beneath the waters surface are not only great for fish habitat, but is well known for the great scuba diving and spear fishing due to the clarity of the lake. Pleasure boating is quite safe and relatively light, even on weekends and holidays. The White River, below the dam, is 18 scenic miles away via windy mountain roads, and is world renowned for its trout fishing, where your limit of Cutthroat, Rainbow, and/or Browns can easily be caught. This area remains to still be deemed as 'The mid-south's best kept secret' thus far!

    • Wow! What a treasure this cabin is. We can't wait to get back there. The home is very clean and comfortable. The entire cabin has recently been updated and is immaculately maintained. Everything you need is there for cooking, but we'd suggest the catering option, espcially on the nights you return from the lake and just want to relax. Everything was delicious! The area is calm, secluded, and beautiful. A true get-away. The lake is just amazing. Be sure to ask about the fishing excursion on the White River. The guide is wonderful. Can't say enough good things about this cabin! We LOVED it.

    • We just spent 3 nights at the Lakeside Hermitage cabin and really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is SO cute and well taken care of. It is nicely furnished and was very clean. We appreciated that the cabin had lots of things we needed like coffee, margarine, spices, a grill to bar-b-que, soap with the washer and dryer, etc. We enjoyed having a DVD player to use at night. We especially LOVED how quiet and secluded the cabin was. It was so nice to be away from noise. Cheree who takes care of the cabin for Julie is so very helpful which was a very nice plus. The cabin is so adorable. We loved our stay!
