Dear Guest,
WELCOME at Vila Poem Boem!
Located at the entrance of Cumpatu residential area of Sinaia opposite the Peles Royal Castle domain, Vila Poem Boem was built in a genuine Romanian style in 1927. It was built by one of the most talented and prolific Romanian architects, T. Socolescu, as a wedding present for his lovely wife. Inspired and built in the name of love the house kept the spirit of love to be shared with its guests throughout time. It has now been lovingly renovated in a period style and is ready to house new friends.
Come and fall in love with it!
Sinaia is a lovely mountain resort hosting the Peles Castle - the former summer residence of the Royal family of Romania, offering plenty of opportunities throughout the year: skiing or sledging during winter season choosing from the local ski tracks to any of the proximity resorts of Busteni, Azuga, Predeal and Poiana Brasov, hiking, mountain biking or simply fresh air breathing throughout the rest of the seasons possibly accompanied by singing birds or squirrels.
Peles Castle, The Orthodox Monks Monastery and George Enescu - the greatest Romanian composer memorial house, are unique attractions which are at walking distance and open for visiting.
Less that one hour drive through the enchanting Carpathian mountains will take you to the border of Transylvania at Dracula Castle in Bran, or to the medieval fortress of Rasnov, or to the beautiful city of Brasov with its unique medieval buildings and the Black Church.
Just book your stay with us and let us know your expectations. We will be more than happy to advice and help you.
We are looking forward in welcoming you in Sinaia!
With kind regards
Ioana and Marius Enache

Charming Villa in Sinaia Royal Resort Close to Dracula Castle
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose Sinaia
I was born in Sinaia and spent most of my wonderful childhood holidays in my grandparents house which we were forced to abandon during the communist regime. I kept a deep desire ever-since of gaining it back. It didn't happen but one day. in 2006 we were offered the chance to buy this lovely property. Without hesitating we bought it and renovated it with love and care in the period style
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
Spending our weekends and holidays in Sinaia is the nicest part of our life now and every time we leave we have the same powerful feeling of wanting to return very soon. It happens as well with all our guests and this is already certain: You come, you get in love with it! Come and try it for yourself. The surroundings, the fresh mountain air, the history, the spirit of love this house was built in, the winter sports, the fireplace, the sauna, the tasty weekend mornings Nesspresso coffee, the music
Owner's Map of Sinaia
Ioana and I together with our children Sara and Luca are unhealed dreamers. We live our dreams and share them happily with our friends and guests, following our family's strapline "We love to share things we love!". Sinaia, known as "The Pearl of Carpathians" is a place one cannot forget as it was not accidentally chosen by the former Royal family of Romania for building their summer residence, The Peles Castle and is not accidentally chosen by most of the mountain lovers to spend their weekends or holidays despite so many other offers Romania has. Come and see it for yourself! We are here to share, help and advise.

Our family of four stayed a week in this fabulous villa in October just in time to see the first snow fall in the mountains. The villa is very lovely with lots of crystal chandeliers, fluffy down comforters and everything you could possible need or want. Marius and Ioana are very warm and hospitable people who went way out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. This part of Romania is really beautiful and we very much enjoyed our outings to Peles castle, the monastery, and a trip up the funicular. We didn't have a car but that wasn't a problem. We walked to everyplace in town and when we were too tired the taxis are really cheap. We also took the train for a day trip to Brasov and Bran castle. I really highly recommend this villa and the area as a wonderful destination!

My wife and I, and our daughter and her boyfriend, stayed at this property for a week in May 2011. Poem Boem is even lovelier than the photographs or the description in the website. However, it is also very welcoming, and we quickly felt right at home. The owners are more than accommodating, and go to amazing lengths to ensure that your stay is as wonderful as it could possibly be. Sinaia is a fascinating mountain retreat town, replete with incredible architecture, winding streets, and attractions-- the castles are a must-see! Farther afield, the neighboring towns offer all kinds of great food, wine, and interesting sites to visit, all reached via beautiful winding mountain roads with spectacular views. Everyone who we met were very, very friendly and helpful, despite our language differences. Actually, there were so many things to do that we could have stayed much longer. In reflection, we and our daughter agreed that of all the VRBO places that we have ever stayed-- from Australia to St. Petersburg, and from Buenos Aires to Prague-- we enjoyed our stay at Poem Boem the very best!

We were a group of 2 families of 4, so the property accommodated us perfectly as there was no coin tossing by the parents to select the bedrooms as the rooms and their ensuites were of equal standard so no one felt hard done by. The 4 children, who ranging in age from 10 to 14, were equally satisfied as they shared an enormous attic room with its own ensuite and TV/games console. The Internet description accurately described the location of the property, it was easy to find and the roads were in very good condition. The photos in the listing only touched on the beauty and charm of the house. The property has all the appearance of being decorated by a professional interior designer or architect as all the spaces are thought through and very usable as well as being very attractive. The furnishing are to a higher standard than expected with enormous attention to detail, every room having a crystal chandelier and antique furniture or ornaments, but without appearing like a museum. It meant that spending time “at home” was very much part of the holiday. The villa was in perfect condition, everything worked (which is not always the case in rental properties). A cleaner came everyday and discreetly emptied the bins and tidied the kitchen and living areas, cleaned out the fire and brought in firewood for the evening fire (not that it was needed as the villa maintained a perfect temperature all day). The owners were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area without being pushy, they both spoke perfect English and suggested activities and places to visit that suited our group and the children’s ages perfectly. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to get away from it all, without being without. We would highly recommend a tour of Castle Peles, unfortunately we missed the bedroom tour, but reception areas were jaw droppingly beautiful and the guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. The restaurant Pizza Pizza close by Castle Peles served the most delicious freshly made pizzas. The children (and adults) enjoyed a trip on the cable car to Cota 1400 and visiting Bran Castle and we spent a very nice day in Brasov. The local restaurant Piatra Soimului were like our private caterers in the evening. We either ate at the restaurant which was a short and rather nice walk away or had a take out either way it was to a high standard and well priced. We can recommend the liver starter (big enough to be a main) and the house white wine.

Our film crew had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home in Sinaia. The town itself is quaint - with some great choices in restaurants. It's quite a refreshing contrast to the bustling big city of Bucharest. The house is pristine and charming. It's as though the homeowners -Marius and Ioana- have paid great attention to every detail in the house. The decor is gorgeous - its a slightly modern take on the classic beauty that the house has always possessed. Both the dining room and living room and quite spacious - our team of 6 had plenty of room. The beds are plush and super comfortable. The kitchen may appear a bit tiny, but its fully equipped and well stocked with high-end kitchen appliances and gadgets. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a more positive experience. Ioana and Marius -the homeowners- were easily the highlight of our entire stay. They were both incredibly kind and helpful. Ioana met us at the house to get our team settled in and show us all the amenities that the house had to offer. Marius and Ioana were both fabulous resources for our team in Romania: helping us to establish contacts, set up various excursions and combat the language barrier. They were available to assist us at any moment, and we are so grateful that they went so far above and beyond our expectations Thank you for an amazing stay!
